Prayer, fasting, and deciding to get your mind right with the Lord. Reading the words of the holy scripture and coming into repentance asking for forgiveness from sin and truly turning away from sin and asking God to heal your mind, body, and spirit is no easy task. Getting over your arrogance and stubbornness is only just the beginning. Admitting to your heavenly father that you have not been living right and you want to change is not easy. But those are the first steps to admitting vulnerability and weakness. Disease is the disfunction of the body. Something is out of order. Living and feeding those fleshly desires, examples are junk foods, alcoholism, drugs, smoking, multiple partners, idolatry putting things before God. Being disobedient to God's word and giving into your fleshly desires. Trying to suppress anything in your past that tries to prevent you from moving forward in living the life you want to live. You are not alone. Following your gut, I started with green juicing and prayer, and getting down to the cellular level of the disease is paramount. Listening to other people and their journey to wellness will give you the support you need. Wellness can be obtained, and you can have a disease free body. Healing from emotional stress and dysfunction from everyday life.

    Hi Uncle Harold.
I'm so sorry you went through that as a child. I went through seeing my mom go through emotional abuse as a child. My dad emotionally and physically abused me too. I was anxious all the time and when my teachers noticed that I "wasn't okay" and approached my dad about it, i knew an azz whooping was waiting for me the moment i got home. I haven't gotten any therapy yet because like you said, our black community always forces us to be strong and get over stuff. That alone is Toxic. 😢
I am still trying to stay on my path to healthy eating (cos them Chicken wings be calling my name and i can't always resist😂😂😂😂). I will get there one day.
    You're such an inspiration.
More blessings, more life and peace to you, unc!🤗❤️🙏

Thank you Harold. Dealing with a health issue that could potentially turn worse. My problem is finding a substitute for what I am eating. I feel hungry all the time. I'm not a big eater to begin with. Keep doing what you are doing. I agree with you about the food killing us. Sometimes the information can be overload and I'm not exactly sure where to turn.

I got my cancer diagnosis 3 days after my 53rd Birthday in July 2015. I thought I was good health wise but was I wrong, I was pescatarian at the time, in the gym 7day a week. While watching GMA one morning a Dr that was on said anyone that was diagnosed with cancer should go on a plant based diet, she didn’t have to say it twice for me. On the 1st of April 2018 I went vegan, it’s hard but I stayed on it, last year I started eating chicken wings. Would take pieces of bacon but still not totally coming completely off of the vegan lifestyle. This year I started with Veganary just to reset myself and I must say I’m back on my vegan journey. I don’t ever want a Dr to say to me again “ you have cancer”. I’m going to do whatever it takes to keep cancer out of my body.
