Hi Joshua, I’ve started learning about investing just this week. This is the first video of yours that I watch and I found it really interesting and I like the way you explain these concepts but I lack some context. I’d love to make my way through your videos on your channel to get this context. Which video would be best to start with?
Hi there! I’d recommend checking out this video of my favorite finance books. These helped me a ton to understand general concepts and terminology. Saw that QQQM is the same thing but cheaper price to enter. Also noticed the fee is also a little cheaper. Is the performance about the same? What are your thoughts?
Yeah, I think QQQM and QQQ are basically the same in terms of performance, with QQQM being cheaper in terms of price per share and expense ratio like you mentioned. The main difference is QQQM is $1.3B in net assets where QQQ is a whopping $192B! Also, average volume is about 85x lower for QQQM so just something to consider. Thanks for watching!
Dude first of all you are CRUSHING IT BRO! 17?! That’s legit. Honestly my style is more like your second option. 70% VOO or even SCHD and then 30% QQQ then 10% fun individual stocks like these mentioned and others.
You are welcome !!! My advisor is "TERESA JENSEN WHITE". In terms of portfolio diversity, she's a genius. You can glance her name up on the internet and verify her yourself. she has years of financial market experience.
Hey Josh. Is there a smaller Vanguard index fund that has just 20-25 top US stocks? MSFT, APPLL, FB, Tsla etc? Yes-an SMALL but high growth US fund? One fund? Thanks!
Hi Ian! That's a good question. I did a little research and found the ETF called $XLG which is the top 50 companies in the S&P 500. Comparing a 5 year performance chart of that to QQQ and it seems to have done really well. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! 🙌
So if the s&p 500 changes their 500 companies yesrly based on performances. Doesnt the nasdaq do the same thing? Like if apple shits the bed ans goes bankrupt, wouldnt they be taken off the nasdaq 100 the following year most likely? Something else would move into the 100 then, correct? So the QQQ can be a long term play just like the s&p for that reason, as long as you can handle more volatility, correct? Im just looking for a 9-10% long term play. I think QQQ has proved that 10% is a pretty safe bet at least.
Yeah, I believe both S&P 500 and QQQ get rebalanced each quarter. For example, Tesla was added to the S&P500 back on December 2020. Not financial advice, but I think the QQQ at these levels seems attractive. Apple, Microsoft, Google, Tesla, Amazon, NVIDIA, Broadcom, Facebook and Costco are big companies and I'd expect them to do well into the future. Good luck and thanks for watching! I really appreciate it.
@@joshuatalksmoney we may get even better buying opportunities over the next 6-12 months if the fed tightens harder. They scared the market again today. Im just saving and will start chipping in over the next year.
Hi Joshua God bless bless I’m new in this field I want to invest, Invesco I planing buy some share QQQ but in my personal life I don't have time to be in front of a computer because I'm a truck driver, this investment company Invesco, they can take care of my investment, what are the steps I can take to open an account with them...I'll be waiting your answer.
Hi Javier - my apologies for the late reply. You could consider going over to Vanguard and setting up an account where you can invest in things like the Invesco QQQ and other index funds. They should be able to help you figure out which type(s) of account you should fund like an IRA, brokerage account or something else based on your job. Best of luck and thanks for watching!
Nice! Yeah, I did a video about $TQQQ awhile back: TQQQ Stock Explained: 3X The Returns of QQQ? ruclips.net/video/JJg4eRVnv6c/видео.html Thanks for watching! 🙌
Nothing to add about the wisdom of investing in the ETF. But I would NEVER trust my money with a corp that produces the most idiotic ads known to man. If they're stupid enough to approve the commercials, how the hell can they manage an etf?
I've made nearly six figures from $QQQ. Higher risk from tech stocks and higher expense ratio, but overall a good option to consider. Thanks for watching!
I bought around 2k worth, and am planning on putting 100 a month in this ETF
Nice! I think QQQ can continue to work over the long haul.
Thanks for watching!
QQQM is an alternative option with a slightly low expense ratio and cost per share.
Very helpful video. Just subscribed!

What do you think of QQQM versus QQQ? I know one is much older. I’ve been told that there’s not much difference. What’s your thought

Would u recommend buying something like QQQ over buying anyone of these individually?
I’m 17 and I’ve been dca’ing in VOO and I’m thinking of starting to go 70% VOO 30% Nvidia or 60% VOO, 30% QQQ and 10% Nvidia

Expense ratio is important to consider when picking an ETF. It can take a huge chunk from your investment if too high.
Is that visualizer an app??
I used the website: www.portfoliovisualizer.com/ and you can do the portfolio backtesting option. Hope this helps.

If you would bought QQQ in 2000, you would of been in the red till 2015 so buy it during a crash...
Yeah! That’s why it’s important to invest often and over a long period of time. I’m a fan of the dollar cost averaging approach 📈
