Any recommendation of what broker to use and can u use roth ira on qqqm using compound interest including of the earning qutomatically in a broker for roth ira?
Even though these ETF target underlying stocks, how does the buy/sell activity effect the overall price? Lets say if there are lot of people who want to dump it quickly and start selling them will it go below the price values of underlying stocks? And will it go above when there is more demand? Finally isnt upto the individual to buy or sell at the price they want?
Ty Bob for doing a more specific video on a topic that is often mentioned but not understood! As a new investor, my Roth only has SCHD and FXIAX. I think I'm ready to add some QQQM too :)
I hold vgt and qqq....which one to sell because both of them are very similar and stock price is also similar . I'm more in holding vgt instead of qqq. Please any advice will be useful in my decision.
You are getting it wrong, as volume doesn't matter that much on etf and mutual funds. When you sell a share, you don't sell it to other investors, you sell it to middle man who will just go ahead destroy/create shares for you.
While volume doesn’t matter as much, it would still impact a fast entry and exit in the case of QQQ vs QQQM. “Spreads are strongly correlated to volume: When a high-demand ETF has robust volume, its spread tends to be small.” Source: www.etf.com/sections/features-and-news/when-high-spreads-mean-etfs-work
Your videos have become some of my favorite in the financial space. Great job as always! 👍🏼
Awesome! Thank you!
So, QQQM is less volatile and “liquid” than its brother QQQ. Kind of like SPLG and SFY for the SPY / VOO.
Finally a good explanation! Thanks so much sir 😊
Which do you hold Bob? Qqq makes sense if running options. If just holding… qqqm seems to make more sense.
I think if there was SCHD in japan, I would go for SCHD and QQQM though, QQQM has arrived here one week ago.
thank you! great sharing!
great video!
Thanks!
QQQM and DGRO will be a good combo to hold for a long time
Nice but as a day trader I like to see volume rather then expense ratio, for me QQQ works as it has more volume rather then QQQM.
Yes! QQQ is more liquid. QQQM is great for buy & hold investors
Thank you Bob 🙂😸🥰 that was exactly the video I was looking for to explain expense ratio 😍❤️👍
Glad it was helpful!
I never considered the bid/ask. I'm actually shocked the volume is that low for qqqm.
volume isn't a dollar figure. it's the number of times shares of a stock/etf were traded.
Will there be any dividend growth on QQQM?
There has been growth over the last few years. While we can't use the past to predict the future, it has shown some good growth from 2020-2023 so far.
Thank you
You're welcome
Why aren’t the QQQ people just taking their money out and putting it into QQQM?
Taxes
@@isaac3338 wouldn’t they save more in fees over the long term than what they get charged in taxes?
Many Are! QQQM has a better expense ratio and higher dividend
That's a pretty blanket statement "taxes". If you're in Canada and have a tfsa there is no taxes to do this. And in a Roth same.
thank you great video
You are welcome!

Insightful. Thank you. So, are they virtually the same in terms of holdings?
Yes they are
Thank You.
You're welcome

I’m new to investing and want to invest $1000. Is one share not worth it on qqq?

Then why qqq does not want to have a stock split then
I hold vgt and qqq....which one to sell because both of them are very similar and stock price is also similar . I'm more in holding vgt instead of qqq. Please any advice will be useful in my decision.
Option chain must show even wider differences, then.
Yes great point!
@@BobSharpe I notice you don't use strategies like shorting puts instead of buying those ETFs outright. Why's that?
Qqqm and voo seem to be reaching their all time high price again. Should we keep investing on a monthly basis or wait until the price decreases again?
Consistently buy in to take advantage of compounding
The upward trajectory is always up in the long term charts! When it doubt, zoom out! My RUclips channel also has great reviews of both QQQ & VOO

@@BobSharpe Fast entry and exit? QQQ is a mutual fund, you can only trade it after market close.
@@jameszeng2666 no, QQQ is an ETF, not a mutual fund. Here is the invesco site: www.invesco.com/qqq-etf/en/home.html
@@BobSharpe Oh ... I didn't know that😅 ... hmmm thanks for pointing that out🤣
@@jameszeng2666 all good!
Given that they're essentially the same, I'd go with QQQ because of the higher dividend distribution amount.
Technically the yield is higher on QQQM (percentage based on price)
🤭
isic?
Thanks, as always for this video. Do you have any good stocks that you invest in?
So anyone who bought QQQM in November 2021
