I don't know if I'm more jealous of the food or the views of Mt. Fuji! I love traveling, but finances are tight, so I'm just living vicariously through you! I'm just sad it took me this long to find your channel.
I’m definitely jealous of the view - I visited Japan a handful of years ago but due to the weather Mt. Fuji was shrouded in clouds THE ENTIRE TIME I would have been able to see it! 😱😭
After watching your vlog I’m even more motivated to pursue my number one bucket list item. The culture and cuisine are amazing and worth experiencing, the images that you captured are incredible. Well done Alley this is definitely must see📺.
I recently visited Japan and I wish this video came out before I went. I missed out on so many great foods. I’ll have to go back and try them all. Great video!
My Japanese girl is coming to do the Appalachian trail. I spent 4 years over there in early 2000s We've traveled a lot together over the last 23 years.
I love your channel and I watch many of your videos !!!! Keep up the great work and I hope I run into you one day on a cruise it's the best way to vacation!!!!!!
It’s been minute since I caught a new vlog! But I still try to go back and watch vids I missed. I low key dont mind missing out on vlogs, gives me something to look forward to on my days off 📺
Wow great vlog Such interesting foods Learned a lot Your smile is so wonderful to see Did you work in Japan ( if so what position) Trust your SNF role is going well
I have a trip to Tokyo next July. I am so excited to see, experience, and taste so many new things. I am try to learn Japanese but I’ll tell you it has been pretty difficult
Nothing better than Japan and Japanese food. My wife and I have been back many times. She lived in Japan for 3 years while working for Intel. It helped Intel paid for Japanese lessons. Sashimi is the best and the hole in the wall restaurants have out of this world food, you do not need to go to expensive locations.
I have a lot of family in Osaka, so when I used to go to visit as a kid, I would be introduced to things like Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki and be amazed that restaurants stateside were still just doing the Tempura/Teriyaki/sushi thing. (This was the 80's BTW!)
Okonomiyaki was such a surprise to me! I first tried it at a local Japanese festival in Southern California! Can’t find restaurants that make them regularly though. Oh and a quick note, it sounds like some of your voice over from the room is coming out of the left channel, but the music and everything else is coming out of both channels. Dialogue is fine when out and about too.
Next coming Japanese delicious popular food might be as follows; 1.tonkatsu 2.eel 3.Japanese curry 4.kakigouri 5.wagashi(confectionery) 6.uni 7.egg sandwitch 8.oyako-don 9.yakitori 10.oden
There's something in your smile and energy that would make any guy wish to have a friend like you.. not saying you're not for a romantic relationship, but definitely the kind anyone would want in their circle.. such good vibes.. 😊
I'm actually going to Japan in December, so your content is super helpful. Is renting a car in Japan expensive? Also can you rent a car with a US drivers license?
You need an international drivers license! Most places are very accessible by train though so I’d recommend that before driving if it’s not a rural area :)
Brilliant content! Only thing you need to fix is your audio, other than that I look forwards to seeing more vids in the future. I ❤ JP!! Visit Tsumegari patisserie in Koyoen and eat their cream puffs….omg…
And mochi just be those gooey-ball things I'm still slowly eating. (Since so much doesn't require refrigeration, I took about a half bag of candy and baked goods (and sweet and sour squid) home with me)
My favorite Japanese food is yellow tail. I love me some yellow tail. I just bury my face in it…make funny sounds with my lips. Then I walk around all day with my face smelling like yellow tail. Yummy!
When I was in college, a Japanese friend of my father took me out to an authentic Japanese restaurant. He ordered everything and I liked nothing. It was all eel and seaweed and strange things from the sea. And to be fair, I'm not a seafood fan. I'm not even fond of fish, much less the more... obscure offerings.
@wanderlustalley i never have been (its my dream)! But its my favortie meal to cook in usa....usually for dinner lol I think it came in a meal kit once years ago and it hooked me
Oh honey, I know U work really really hard on editing these vlogs but this is the 2nd time the audio is not working in one ear!!!! 😢😩😳😳😳 what’s causing this?
@@wanderlustalley It's technically on both, but it's panned to the left ear so it's slightly off center. I'd recommend using the "fill left with right" effect on the voiceover track. You could set it to mono, but you'll lose some sound quality. You may also be able to just pan it slightly to the right to make it more center.

Ahhhh you so should! It’s such an incredible place to explore ☺️
I knew you were talking about okonomiyaki when you started! LOL Its sooo good! I loved comparing Osaka and Hiroshima styles...both so delicious.
It’s my favorite 🥺❤️ I love that they’ve both so different yet similar! So cool to try both 😊
@@wanderlustalleyThe only reason I had heard of it was that it was frequently mentioned in one of my favorite anime from back in the day, Ranma 1/2
