I visited Nagano and Matsumoto back in 2016. I have good friends in Japan and they showed me around. I loved the fresh air, wonderful Snow Monkey Mountain and the scenery and food. I had some katsudon and lovely buckwheat cold noodles, I still remember. My picture of Matsumoto Castle is my desktop wallpaper to this day. I had the most wonderful time!

Wow great to see the life in Japan ❤ I subscribed because of your cruiseship, but this kind of vlogs are also very interesting. Greetings from Switzerland, Susanne
This has to be the most relaxing video I've watched in a long long time. The transitions, the music selection, your calm voice, the colour grading.... all superb!
Lovely video. You captured Kokuya Ryokan and the snow monkey park perfectly. The first couple of times we went to Yudanaka we stayed at Kokuya. Brilliant ryokan. The food was excellent. I think on our 2nd stay we had the room you stayed in. Each room's onsen is different so I was able to tell it was the same. Our 3rd and most recent visit we didn't stay at Kokuya. Too expensive now :) It wasn't too bad with 1 kid but 2 was a stretch. But we stayed in a lovely old ryokan close to the station that was very inexpensive and almost as good as Kokuya. We did visit Kokuya again for the delicious onsen eggs they have for sale outside the front entrance. The monkeys have been amazing each time we've visited but the last time they didn't get into the water. But they sat around on the edge though, so we still got some nice video and the kids loved it. Excellent video of a wonderful place.
Hi, cold Soba noodle is basically only for Summer season. In winter, we eat hot one with various toppings. There are differences in taste of Soba noodles by each Soba noodle houses. These difference is known by the taste of cold Soba, not hot one. This difference is slight and only understood by Soba-connoisseur. The Japanese Sake is the same. Cold Sake is basically tasted only in Summer. In other seasons warmed Sake is preferred, though the latest Japanese young people have cold Sake in all seasons because of its easy drink.
Just went to Nagano Japan in January for business. My HQ is there. It actually wasn’t that cold. With the yen being so bad, anyone from US can spend so much and everything is so cheap. Even buying high end clothes or anything will be cheaper
I was just scrolling through the comments and everyone said exactly what I was thinking. You’re edits are so good because it created a feeling. And I wanted to be there and to see that atmosphere for myself. This was such a great video! Thanks for taking the time to make this!
Going to Japan for the first time in March next year, been wanting to go and cannot be more excited! Loved your video thought about staying at a Ryokan they look amazing.
I'm heading to japan for month starting 8th Nov I'm thinking going to see the snow monkeys around Dec before i leave what was the date you were there and when dose it snow in Nagano? please lol so i can bring with me correct worm clothing if i need too
Hi! I know it's not the usual vid req, but will you be able to breakdown how much money did you bring to japan when you made the shift? As well as the process of moving over? I really want to migrate as well, but the uncertainty always lingers. It would help alot if you could help out a brother here!
🤦♀️Totally messed up the audio at the end while exporting. What I was trying to say wassss: “I hope you guys enjoyed watching as much as I enjoyed editing. I put a lot of time & effort into these videos so any support via a tapping of the like button is sincerely appreciated ☺️🫶 Thanks for watching & I’ll see you on the next adventure! Matane”
Thanks for watching, friends! xx 🥰
Thanks for sharing❤
Ahhhh. Ahhhhh. So desu ne.
Welcome back to Japan!
Japan always be with you.
Thank you 🙏🥰

I can't wait for the group trip. Finally seeing Japan will be a long dream come true
Woohoo! You’re going to love it 😍
I'm not kidding, the trip you did in this video is exactly the same that I did with my then girlfriend (now wife) 3 years ago 😯
Oh my gosh! How’d you guys find it?😊
@@wanderlustalley Loved it. The Ryokan was particularly nice (We happened to stay at the one you showed in the middle of the video)
@@TheRedValue that one is GORGEOUS! They were sold out when we tried to go. I’m sure you guys had a lovely time!

Thank you so much ☺️ Kokuya onsen is so lovely. That’s so cool to think we’ve stayed in the same location!
love your editing soooooo muchhhh i can't 😭
Is the house that looks like spirited away near the shibu onsen?
'Why are you so awkward!' I love your humor that you put that in the scene.
Had to 😂
@@wanderlustalley I know you are busy but I need more of your Japanese content!!

Excellent vlog, like being there. Thanks 😊

So true! The yen being weaker definitely helped my trip costs 🙏

I guess you didn't see the reflection getting into the tub?
LOL
All's good and thanks!!!!
Beautiful video! Can you list what backgound music you used? It is wonderful!
Which song in particular?🤗
The piano at the beginning and the guitar work after that.
You two give me the vibe of the protagonists of "Tell Me Why", which is a game that I love. It's so satisfying to watch :)
Going to Japan for the first time in March next year, been wanting to go and cannot be more excited! Loved your video thought about staying at a Ryokan they look amazing.
Ryokans are such a special experience!

How one can succeed with chop sticks is beyond me 😂
Excellent vidio skill set
Thank you 😊
I've never known this place so amazing even though I'm Japanese. Thank you for sharing and enjoy Japan!!
I’m glad I could share it with you! It’s one of my favorites ☺️
You captured snow monkeys so well! Somehow it’s touching with the nice music, beautiful!
Thank you! The snow monkeys did all the work 😍
What time of year and time of day did you go to see the monkeys? Gorgeous footage!
This was January! I’d recommend late January or early February ☺️
That onsen looks amazing :)
It’s incredible 🤗
A perfect japanese traditional trip🍁♨️🐵
I'm Japanese, but I'm jealous.👍
I’m jealous because you live in Japan
Hello! How much is the bus to the monkey park? We’re going to be going in Feb, it looks absolutely beautiful!
Always 😂smiling.
Where are you from? I live in Japan and am curious where you are from!

I’d say my process wasn’t super normal because I was sponsored by a company and they paid for pretty much everything 😅
@@wanderlustalley ah crappppppp, thanks anw!

This Vlog was absolutely perfect in every regard, shame it had to end .. But thanks for an amazing 15 minutes!
Glad you enjoyed it!🤗❤️
Those snow monkeys were awesome! They make me wanna take a dip & just relax eating fruits🐒
Great Vlog Alley!
Thank you! The best part is that you can actually go in one of the local onsens & monkeys sometimes join 🤣
I really shouldn't watch your videos when I am hungry. ;)
lol Kiddo you do a good job
Hi! do you have the exact name of the ryokan?
Kokuya I believe is the name! I have it listed in the video :)
@@wanderlustalley thanksss
いいね👍️
Nagano 😳
Nice Video!!, oh and did they (the ryokan) really offer a luggage service for free??
❤❤❤te quiero❤
nice
Nice, but the real onsens are far too hot. The hotel onsens are for foreigners.

Was a better place in the 1990s too tourist now.
Too noisy, I guess there were no one else in that place. Were you alone?🙄
What do you mean?
no boob ?? well
I think I saw this in Demon Slayer lol
Well, at least. Cannot read much. To slow
Small
Nice video...hope you bathed first before getting in the onsen.
Of course 🤗
subtitles would be worth a tiny bit larger to make it easier to read... 🫣
A moment of silence for our ‘friend’ Dan. 🥲 The gym is awaiting you my brother 💪 0:49
