Yeah, I just rewatched it, fantastic movie. It really had a lot of heart and I loved all the Rocky moments where he's just wandering around Philly and making funny small talk and of course this scene and the fight are great too, really cool editing and really well written movie built to last like Rocky himself! Really did Rocky justice. Sylvester Stallone is a legend
It’s amazing to see how connected Apollo and Rocky would become. Now Rocky is there for Adonis, when Apollo couldn’t. That’s true respect of true champions.
Kinda like sebastian vettel and mick shumacher (formula 1 drivers) basically vettel was mentored by mick's father michael shumacher but in 2013 michael got into a ski accident that left him unable to move or speak and when mick got into f1 Sebastian helped him and was there for him. Legends.
Yeah but i really wish that they hadn’t made Apollo so dirty like that. Like why did they have to make Adonis as the result of an affair like that. It was mentioned in Rocky II that Apollo does have children, then why didn’t the producers start with that, instead of creating a new character who is an outcast and was adopted by Mary Anne. And til’ the end, none of the kids that were mentioned in Rocky II appeared in the Creed franchise
That scene is legendary, I always loved it when rocky sprints up there. Because in the first movie he barley could, and then it was legendary ever time he did it.
Dude, then in the actual fight they flash to a shot of him hitting the meat then back to him and Dixon right after Rocky just landed a haymaker, so fucking dope, editing was really on point.

I’ve been a fan of Rocky ever since I watched the first movie as a little kid. Rocky reminds me of those millions and millions of hard working Americans that get it done every day. They work hard, they don’t cut corners, and they are extremely grateful for the blessing they receive. Rocky is all of us. Just like Rocky, we love our families, our country and we just to want to live quiet and decent lives! Long live Rocky Balboa!
Duke: You know all there is to know about fighting, so there's no sense us going down that same old road again. To beat this guy, you need speed - you don't have it. Yeah! Let's start building some hurtin' bombs!
It's impossible to not feel goosebumps with this scene and suddenly want to hit the gym. Thank you for being an example Rocky Balboa; this will never get old🔥💪
the dog is the one who endures the most suffering ... while he was running he thought "but you could not settle for the first 5 .." "but you do not feel ridiculous doing these things at your age" ...
This man changed my entite life. I was really uppset with what i have accomplished during this year. I was not happy but i was depressed because i had a hard time. My brother showed me his speech and i was so intrested to Watch the full movie. It was a enjoying movie and it learned me life Lessons that i needed to know. Life aint rainbows and sunshine. I hope i can show the world what i am capable of now🔥🔥🔥
🍷 In all honesty, this incarnation of Bill Conti's iconic theme is THE best version ever! Not only due to the faster tempo or the wonderfully added horns but perhaps because we all knew it would be Balboa's last training montage as a boxer ever, it's like visiting an old friend who still has something left to give but we know we will never see them again!! 👍🏻
Rocky Balboa is the embodiment of every blue collar hard working middle class American. If the world had a lot more people with Rocky's heart, love, kindness and generosity this world wouldn't be such a terrible place. We love you Rocco!
Damn I loved Duke when he was training Rocky during Rocky 3,4 and this one. Guy’s a legend. In Rocky 4 his role was significantly bigger and incredibly motivating and inspirational. Always rewatch these Rocky workouts when I’m about to go to the gym! Gives me the chills and strength to destroy everything!
What i like so much about this training scene is you see a tired Rocky, despite all the will he has who can't lift as much as he used to be, but eventually with enough training and patience start to catching up on his youngness and gradually succeeding. The acting is great and well done right here, you don't see a "Superman" magically lifting weight easily but you see a man with a HUGE age barrier in that training and you can clearly see it, especially at 1:12 where he STRUGGLES or at 1:20 failing the weightlifting and Duke saying "don't worry you'll get it" , or 1:26 & 1:40. This is powerful.
2:48 he still has it ...the courage and the strength to keep on fighting and with that music when it hits the perfect shot of a champion rocky has become😢 !!! What a good actor and spirit
I love this scene! a 60 year old man, has more spirit than most young people i know, if a man of this age can do this! I can do it! Best insipirational scene of all my life!
Nah I rather have Apollo..Mick helped build Rocky's basic skill but he also helped mostly on Rocky's spirit and mentality. Apollo maximized Rocky's skills by a mile by helping him move like a superstar. Apollo literally helped Rocky float like a butterfly and sting like a bee
Out of all the training montages, this has to be my favorite. It shows that a man, no matter how many struggles he has, he has heart and determination and that can overcome any obstacle that is in the way to the goal he wants to achieve. The Rocky franchise, no matter how silly it can get sometimes, is still some of the best movies in the history of cinema.
To be perfectly honest, my favorite moment in the entire franchise was Rocky's speech in this movie. It summarizes the franchise to a T and gave the viewing audience a beautiful life lesson everybody should listen to.
I know, everyone talks about the inspirational speech Rocky gives his son. But this scene is fantastic too, it's like turning your weakness into your strength kinda of vibe.
This is the most saddest rocky movie ever... Im so glad he meet adonis creed, that kid build some fire in his heart again. God i love rocky movie so much. Good to know someone will continues his legacy again.
BS, Creed was a sadder film when it comes to Rocky. I feel like they did him dirty in Creed, reduced him to a sad, hopeless old man who just waits to die. I much prefer this Rocky who stays positive and perseveres.
The thing I always loved about this is that it is theoretically feasible that Rocky's "hurting bombs" would be a thing in real life - older men tend to have much higher bone density than younger men. Because of this, it's entirely plausible that Rocky's hands would have more mass to them and make them much more effective at doing damage than Mason's hands. ...Essentially, Rocky is weaponizing his old age against Mason. It's beautiful.
Rocky is an inspiration The quote it's not about how hard u hit it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward that's how winning is done God and that quote got me threw a situation thank u Father God 🙏
What an awesome training segment. Almost shed a tear the first time I saw this in theatres after all those years once again seeing Rocky train to the theme song pushing past his limits and never giving up. So friggen motivational!
I was going through a extremely tough time a year ago, but this scene would always give me the strength I needed. I can't even tell you how much Rocky means to me, and how this movie got me through a dark time, I'll always love this.
This was the only Rocky movie I got to see in theaters (not counting Creed but thats essentially its own series at this point) so I'm glad I got to experience a classic Rocky montage with the Bill Conti score in theaters, when it started I got genuine goosebumps, Love this movie, I dare say its probably my favorite of the Rocky series.
It's interesting how the goals of Rocky's training here differ from all his previous training sessions. While in the past he could afford to assume that he would have rough parity with his opponents in regards to speed, this time his opponent, Mason Dixon, would be guaranteed to be faster than him by virtue of being in the prime of his life while Rocky would be in his 60s, and had been retired for more than a decade on top of that. No matter how many punches Rocky threw at him, Mason WOULD throw more at Rocky. So he disregards speed. If Rocky would never be able to beat Mason on points, then the Italian Stallion would have to make sure every one of his punches that connected would HURT to a far greater degree than Mason's punches. It's just like Tony said. "So what we'll be calling on is good old-fashioned blunt force trauma. Horsepower. Heavy-duty, cast-iron, piledriving punches, that'll have to hurt so much, they'll rattle his ancestors. Every time you hit him with a shot, it's gotta feel like he tried kissing the express train. Let's start building some hurting bombs."
Agreed. But we can all agree that if Rocky was still in his prime, like in between his fights with Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago, that Mason Dixon wouldn't have stood a chance against him
You just can't help but dig these movies. When this comes up you just wanna go out punching something. It speaks to our will to do better,to be better and crush what's stopping you.
Out of all the Rocky Balboa training montages, this is my favorite one. I don't know why, I love them all but this is the one that really pumps me up to train hard.
The Italian Stallion's training sessions are inspirational, not only is he working on his body for his health but to apply that body toward a goal that he sticks to with all his heart and soul, that is building character.
Really love the franchise, didn't disappointed by this one, so nice to see again all these characters. A great thanks to Mr Stallone who really fight to giving us this story.
3:19 I always like to imagine the people driving by are one of the kids from the 2nd movie all grown up and they pull to the side to see rocky running up the steps and say themselves "he still got it 😁"

Every time you hit him with a shot, it's gotta feel like he tried kissing the express train.
Yeah! Let's start building some hurtin' bombs!
I thought he said "ass sisters" instead of ancestors

Why u wrote something we can hear in less than five seconds 😂

Liam Rivera cause that helps me, a "not so good at English" person
Rocky will always be a motivation. No matters whichever movie gets released, no one will beat this. Love from India
It's impossible to not feel goosebumps with this scene and suddenly want to hit the gym. Thank you for being an example Rocky Balboa; this will never get old🔥💪
That dog is the real hero here.
the dog is the one who endures the most suffering ... while he was running he thought "but you could not settle for the first 5 .." "but you do not feel ridiculous doing these things at your age" ...
CocacolaBoy83 fyi stallone sold his dog(yeah that dog) to make the movie/rocky 1
sad
qweqwe Dwight but then when he got his paycheck for Rocky 1 he bought back that dog.
qweqwe Dwight and it wasen't too make rocky 1. It was for food.
0:50 these 50 seconds is the best advice any retired heavyweight boxer could've received. Love Tony Burton! R.I.P.
RIP didn't know he passed away.
Rip
Damn.....R.I.P
Love this guy told it like it was, this is what you got and this is what you need.
Atul Yadav yes yes they are
In quarantine and working out...a lot. This song comes up every time...timeless!
I hope i can show the world what i am capable of now🔥🔥🔥
Stallone did a great job directing this.
RIP Tony Burton
Duke's pep talk to Rocky was simply epic.
Paulie got motivated for a second there then he got a cramp ! 😭
Yes He did
"Let's start building some hurtin bombs!"
I love that
2:48 he still has it ...the courage and the strength to keep on fighting and with that music when it hits the perfect shot of a champion rocky has become😢 !!! What a good actor and spirit
🥺🥺😭 go rocky
RIP Tony. Love you man
I love this scene! a 60 year old man, has more spirit than most young people i know, if a man of this age can do this! I can do it! Best insipirational scene of all my life!
The background song 10/10 definitely!
En qué libre pico la Era muy bueno
MENACE
I like the homage to Maynard Ferguson with the trumpet solo
Awesome
When the brass buzzing, my speaker went out. Hahah
I remember seeing this in the cinema. When the theme came on all the grown men in the cinema screamed with excitement like it was a football match.
I get goosebumps every time he points to Duke.
Respect to Stallone for not only keeping up great shape at his age, but also for the dynasty of these films.
Watching rocky montages always gets me so motivated to workout
I worked my chest a week ago
I was benching 155 pounds
I’m watching this now today
And I’m benching 205
Rocky is motivation
Rocky is inspiration
The best boxer that ever existed in our hearts!
What an amazing- American classic. Honestly- this was the perfect holiday movie or thing to see Christmas Day
I always watch the Rocky movies around Thanksgiving or Christmas
Hurt so much it will rattle his ancestors love that line❤️😊
This track never gets dull.
Watching this movie in the theater as a kid inspired me to start working out. That high note brings a tear to your eye
If you ever feel down on your luck in life, this Rocky film will always pick you right back up. Always.
3:00. banned from planet fitness instantly!
ROFLMFAO !!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Calm down
Oh no, he got banned when he started slamming beer kegs on the ground!
Try to do better at age 90 (it's like 60 in his generation)
Go on do it
Nah I rather have Apollo..Mick helped build Rocky's basic skill but he also helped mostly on Rocky's spirit and mentality.
I grew up with Rocky and Rambo. Still smashing weights and running up mountains. Childhood inspiration and a savior
3:05. Instant full body goosebumps.
To be perfectly honest, my favorite moment in the entire franchise was Rocky's speech in this movie. It summarizes the franchise to a T and gave the viewing audience a beautiful life lesson everybody should listen to.
Uncle Pauley at 2:12 “you can do this Rock-o!!!” 😭😭😭
GETTING STRONGERRRRR!!!!!
C’MON ROCKO!
Adam Wong i hope he doesnt die in Creed 2... id be a blubbering mess😭
Wonder Kid Propably creed 3 because Mick died in rocky 3
@@utoresa5193 Maybe Clubber's kid will push him away. :D
i think this movie was well
BS, Creed was a sadder film when it comes to Rocky. I feel like they did him dirty in Creed, reduced him to a sad, hopeless old man who just waits to die. I much prefer this Rocky who stays positive and perseveres.
Master of the training montage
pattimcb31 squats de 250 kilos??
It sold me for 6 movies
The thing I always loved about this is that it is theoretically feasible that Rocky's "hurting bombs" would be a thing in real life - older men tend to have much higher bone density than younger men. Because of this, it's entirely plausible that Rocky's hands would have more mass to them and make them much more effective at doing damage than Mason's hands.
...Essentially, Rocky is weaponizing his old age against Mason. It's beautiful.
Rocky is an inspiration
The quote it's not about how hard u hit it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward that's how winning is done God and that quote got me threw a situation thank u Father God 🙏
What an awesome training segment. Almost shed a tear the first time I saw this in theatres after all those years once again seeing Rocky train to the theme song pushing past his limits and never giving up. So friggen motivational!
When the trainer cracks his neck, he means serious shit...
Harihara Sarma I mean...damn, he could have killed himself doing that shit!! Badass!!
llmfao idk why it cracked me up hard
I was going through a extremely tough time a year ago, but this scene would always give me the strength I needed. I can't even tell you how much Rocky means to me, and how this movie got me through a dark time, I'll always love this.
I know what you mean.. scenes like this can lift us up when we need it. Hope you are ok bro!
Him going up those steps for the last time brings tears to the eyes.

At first, i thought you meant 2:41 and just put in the wrong time...I didn't get the joke.

Joogie Licker it’s a thing every year
This was the only Rocky movie I got to see in theaters (not counting Creed but thats essentially its own series at this point) so I'm glad I got to experience a classic Rocky montage with the Bill Conti score in theaters, when it started I got genuine goosebumps, Love this movie, I dare say its probably my favorite of the Rocky series.
A Juggernaut. 👿
Agreed. But we can all agree that if Rocky was still in his prime, like in between his fights with Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago, that Mason Dixon wouldn't have stood a chance against him
" Blunt Force Trauma " whoaaa !
Dada 5000 has something to say about it!
Kissing an express train

You just can't help but dig these movies. When this comes up you just wanna go out punching something. It speaks to our will to do better,to be better and crush what's stopping you.
Out of all the Rocky Balboa training montages, this is my favorite one. I don't know why, I love them all but this is the one that really pumps me up to train hard.
RIP Paulie. He was so proud to be part of Rockys saga
The Italian Stallion's training sessions are inspirational, not only is he working on his body for his health but to apply that body toward a goal that he sticks to with all his heart and soul, that is building character.
The greatness of this scene is that it gets you so pumped up and so emotional at the same time!
Rocky running with the dog...everyone LIKED that! ♡
Really love the franchise, didn't disappointed by this one, so nice to see again all these characters. A great thanks to Mr Stallone who really fight to giving us this story.
Everytime i'm feeling down, i come here.
Hearing Paulie's YOU COULD DO IT ROCKO MAKES ME TEAR UP THERE WAS REAL LOVE THERE BROTHERS FOREVER ❤️😌
I love as Rocky is gaining more power & strength Duke yells...Getting stronger!!!
3:19 I always like to imagine the people driving by are one of the kids from the 2nd movie all grown up and they pull to the side to see rocky running up the steps and say themselves "he still got it 😁"
