When prototypes still looked great instead of todays prototypes which just look like a chassis that had carbon fiber shrink wrapped around it. The older cars all had their own unique look and body shape, I hope there comes a day when they return to that (the mazda RT24-p looks great though).
They still do, just paddle shifters, they stopped using Manual transmissions because they were shifting incredibly slowly compared to the single clutch sequentials of the time.
argyle1812 looks like he’s only using it on his 1st-2nd changes. I’m not sure but it probably helps save the transmission and maybe helps alleviate some wheel spin out of the slower corners.
The sound is just heaven

Great vid. Does anybody know why sometimes he uses the clutch but other times he doesnt?

+CJSchecter96 2-3 shift, dogleg 1st.
Not letting the RPM rev to its full potential but that's ok, because you wouldn't want anything to break especially on a racecar like this.
The driver is downshifting without pressing the clutch. He's only rev matching it seems... Is this something common in this type of racecars?
akiskev It's a dogbox secuencial shifter
Lata Wata it is a dog box, but not sequential. It is H-Pattern
