The woman in the video is Val, Matt's current wife, and at the time the video was made she was not pregnant. The fact that she dies in the story is to give an emotional hit and give more force to the message of the song, that can be summarized in "seize the day".
This song is pretty simple. It's about a relationship. A couple is struggling, wondering what they'll leave for their kid one day when they're gone. Questioning if Heaven exists. His partner leaves him, and he's all alone with their newborn son. The music video is based on Don't Cry, November Rain, and Estranged by Guns N' Roses, which are connected to each other. Syn playing on the casket as its lowered is a take on how ridiculous Slash's solos were in those music videos. That Synyster Gates is pretty much the angel of death. Syn had one line of backing vocals in this song. "A memory, a melody, or just one picture". Other than that, Matt did all of the harmonies, and they're really funny to hear isolated tracks for. Papa Gates played all of the acoustic guitar. The Rev played the piano. I'm super glad you like the music video. It really stands out. ❤
So many singers and bands have come and gone, that have shared their own take on the loved and lost theme, and the most of them range from awful the average. And this one stands out. Purely because of the masterful musicianship. I can't say that the song is anyway near the best, but it's the way A7X bring it. I'm not able to pin point the actual detail that's given this playing an edge over all the others, but it's there, and it's good. I truly enjoyed the period style rock, with a classic guitar solo, (did remind me of Slash in the early G&R days), which was a major part for me. Yeah, pretty cool.

"He looks GOOD with short hair" 😂
😂 I was actually referring to his hair though
@@BetterEveryDayRUclips That shaved look is definitely great on him. 😏
Hi BED, yep that always brings tears to my eyes. But I probably should stop carrying onions around with me as well cos they don't help either. 😥
😂 yeah that sounds like a habit that you should stop immediately. 😊
@@BetterEveryDayRUclips Thx for the great reactions. I wish you & your family a very happy Christmas :D
That guitar solo was absolutely lit!
My favourite A7X song and MV, Syn's guitar solo sounds like it could have come straight from 'November Rain' by G'N'R.
