The clock management is the thing that just makes me shake my head. I can't stand the Cowboys, but with their roster.....lol my god the man doesn't want to win.
Keyshawn is going to be the same person sitting there next year saying I don’t know why Jerry kept him, watch what I tell you. One minute he with the cowboys the next he’s against them
They been having the same problems since he's been the head coach. Jerry not trying to win a Superbowl period. Guess I will become a Texan fan at least the owner is trying to be the head coach and GM
McCarthy throughout his NFL head coaching career, which spans almost 18 years has had Favre, Rodgers and Dak and I'm still dumbfounded that he only has one Superbowl ring to show for it.
He's lacking so much nuance. Do coaches deserve time to implement their philosophies and strategies? Sure. But when a coach or a player isn't showing ANY progress or improvement and stays awful, he's got to go. Imagine working a regular job and producing incompetently lousy work. No boss will say, "Well, let's give him a few more years to find his footing." The Cowboys are a for-profit organization and should live by the same standards.
What keyshawn fails to realize is that the cowboys have been struggling with all of those same exact issues of time management, penalties, etc Since Garrett era. So Skip is right...this is nothing new for over a decade
After 14 years, Eagles fans probably thought Andy Reid would never lead them to a SB and then the Eagles thought that too and let him go. Now look. He's led the Chiefs to 3 SBs, winning 2 of them. McCarthy can do it. They just need to do in the playoffs, what they've been doing in the regular season. He can coach perfectly but if the players don't execute properly, then it's not all on him.
If Dallas hopes to win, they'll need a new qb. Dak has major problems against zone match defenses and no signs of improving. He's been in the league too long to have those issues.
It's a good thing the Colts didn't feel that way about Manning. Manning went to and won his first SB in his 9th year, '06. Drew Brees didn't win his only SB til his 9th year also, in '09. Next year will be Prescott's 9th year. I'm just saying.
How exactly does he stop Dak from melting under pressure and throwing the ball to the other team? Do you think he is telling Dak " Hey on this play I want you to throw the ball directly into the hands of the other team!" ?
@@bigbearkat2010 yes it was also Daks idea to play zone the entire game against GB. It's also Daks fault that Romo mishandled that field goal. Dak being born was the reason Dez "didn't catch it".
Keyshawn is wrong on so many levels here. When your team is one of the favorites to win it all, and your organization wants to win the SB, and your team is talented enough to win it all. But you get knocked out in the 1st round again and again and again, the worst thing you can do is to do nothing. Chances are you will repeat the same results next season when you do that. If you make major changes, yeah there is a chance you get worse. But if you get worse, so what? you already failed to win the SB, failing to win the SB again means nothing. But if you change and hit it right, you might win the SB. So yeah, that is why you should make changes at such a point in time.
Dak Prescott Is not very talented, that Is the problem with the Cowboys! He's a slightly above average QB. The Boys need an elite QB. Troy Aikmen was an Elite Franchise QB. I'm a Packer fan and have been watching The Packers since the Lombardi days. Mike McCarthy Is a good coach but his play calling gets Stale and Predictable!!!! And that's how the Packers Defense took advantage of the Boys In Dallas!. It was looking like the Packers defense already knew what plays Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense were going to run very early In the game! Dallas has a some very talented players and they are In a weak division, If Jerry Jones can find a franchise QB perhaps In the draft the Cowboys can easily win that division again make a deep playoff run. If on the other hand JJ gives Dak a big contract that's a BIG MISTAKE!
As a Packer fan, we've been there, our org held onto McCarthy for way too long also. Really thought they'd make a change after that beatdown, but I guess Jerry wants more mediocrity.
Its hilarious as a Packers fan honestly. .. youre watching the playoff game and you start remembering "oh yeah.. 3 years we were DYING to get rid of McCarthy" and the NEW guy we bring in, not only is so much better than McCarthy, he ends up DISMANTLING McCarthy's new team on the road lmao, in playoffs no less
By this logic, Michael Tomlin should also be dismissed. He won his only super bowl 15 years ago (vs McCarthy's 13) while also losing to McCarthy in the latters only win... Steelers keep Tomlin who year after year, is >= .500, had a HOF QB for the majority of his career yet only delivered one Lombardi.
This was a really good debate This set up is perfect , use Sherman and Mike as specials This 2 man debate was probably the best I’ve seen on the show since it came back Both had great points and there wasn’t a third person rambling
Yeah Keyshawn is a very good speaker. He was a good enough player that his opinion matters. He doesn’t make outlandish claims. He’s a realist. He just sounds like a good guy
Yeah that stuff he said needs to be cleaned up and are "fixable", the penalties, clock management, late game situations, those have all been recurring issues since McCarthy was hired and are also the head coach's responsibility, so wtf is he even talking about?
I’d rather be an 8-8 team missing the playoffs or losing in the first round then to be a 12-5 team with so much promise and hope to then just my heart crushed for three straight years
Dallas cowboy fans what's wrong with us we get our hopes up too fast and that's why we always get disappointed you just got to go with the flow that's all I've been for the last 3 years
Agreed. Losing in playoffs with 8-8 team has that hope that we can improve the team at right positions and will get better. ...While 12-5 team you basically know, this is the ceiling of this team. We are done.
That's what everybody said in the beginning of the season the cowboys were all done they went 12 and 5 I don't think they're all done they got players coming off injuries they got gigs over shower how about Jerry Jones fires Mike McCarthy and how is Jason Garrett back how would you feel about that
I bet you weren't saying that between '11-'13 when Dallas went 8-8 three straight years and missed the playoffs and even had a chance at the division title all three years but failed. You were probably not saying then, what you just said now.
@@davidruiz63 when they were that 8-8 team it was disappointing but knew we had a lot of key pieces missing. Especially on defense. I knew those teams were not ones that had me thinking we actually have a shot at atleast being in the Super Bowl and possibly winning.
Wait did Keyshawn actually compare Harbaugh and McCarthy?!? 😂😂😂😂 wtf..as a 49ers fan, let me say…Harbaugh is 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐒 and 𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐒 ahead of MM. for one, Harbaugh is a different type of motivator. He knows how to get locker rooms to buy in. Two, Harbaugh is a quarterback’s coach. What he did with Kaep back in the day is understated, and he as a former QB knows how to mold a QB into that championship pedigree.
McCarthy has a ring and has a better record...exactly what are you basing your comparison off of. You were not in either locker room so that is 100% pure speculation as to whose locker room buys in more.
@@Marsonis2yaAaron Rodgers got him that ring same thing with belicheck after brady left you guys really think MM is a good coach after seeing this is insane
Why did anyone think Jerry would bring a coach that wants control or why would any coach that doesn't want to deal with nonsense go to Dallas under Jerry? Bellicheck and Harbough were not going to do that.
Ty for bringing up the Cowboys and McCarthy losing to the Cards this season. J. Dobbs had 4 starts in the NFL before that win. Playoff-winning teams beat teams they're supposed to beat. (Anyone remember the last team McCarthy lost to while at GB? It was a home game in Dec against the Cards. He was FIRED within days.)
Keyshawn is what’s wrong with national media. Arguing to hear himself argue. Then lastly admitting when they lose he’ll bash. AFTER he was the one promoting them.
Jerry keeping Mike as the head coach reinforces what i been saying for years about the Cowboys; they wont win it until Jerry and his son step down as GM and Asst GM and hire a GM who has control and final say on the draft, free agency and contract negotiations.
I hope that next season we get the hardest schedule. Because playing against bad teams has only made us soft. I’m tired of Mike McCarthy but this will be his last season. If he doesn’t even get us to a nfc championship, then it’s best to say our goodbyes and get someone new.
A new coach doesn't have a proven ceiling as McCarthy has shown that he has. And what would the Cowboys be risking - the grandiose 'success' of McCarthy as coach?
Never thought I'd agree with Skip about the cowboys. He's right, Jerry isn't interested in winning, it's about money. If cowboys fans would stop watching their games and buying cowboys merchandise, maybe he'd change. We all know Jerry's ego has been and will continue to be the main thing that holds them back from a super bowl.
I've been telling everyone for years that Dak is just Tony Romo all over again. He puts up crazy numbers in the regular season, but never brings it during the playoffs. They both just turn back into pumpkins.
@@ronarnold1507Gotta put some blame on Dallas' defense in some of those losses for Romo and Dak. If they aren't helping the offense out and can't stop the opposing offense you can't put the blame on the qb. Imo
Ngl I was hoping they'd run it back so I can see Dallas do the same thing again. Loving in Dallas/Austin makes it fun to watch all the fans go through every stage of grief

McCarthy had issues at GreenBay and I see similar failures at Dallas Cowboys. He has a decent group of players to work with, but the domination only seems to happen against less talented teams. By the time Dallas makes the playoffs every team has them figured out.
Quarterback play is samething as saying the coach's problem samething slap yourself 😂coach's call the shots through the helmets mic. Dak was not the problem, no pass protection, horrible routes, lamb having butter fingers, everything was off and don't get started on the Def. They never showed up.
It shows that the cowboys are fine with winning their weak division, making the playoffs and going out in the 1st or 2nd round. Jerry wants a lap dog coach and hates it when anyone isn’t that. This off-season has some great head coaching candidates that would actually fit and win in Dallas but Jerry is going to let that pass and get a new coach next year that is just happy to be there and be Jerry’s pet.
Keyshawn needs to stop being so scared to step on toes, it feels like he is holding back from saying what is obvious because he doesn't want to say the truth about people in the NFL that he knows or is friends with.
It’s not about that, you guys are really impatient and don’t know anything about football, you really want to fire Mike McCarthy and hire a coach who’s never won? Okay 😂😂😂😂
@@fishykinggoat88yeah heaven forbid they try anything new, clearly the right call is to stay in neutral and wait to become the laughingstock of the postseason again
I was worried for awhile that Jerry would go out and get Belichick and actually be a contender next year. Now I'm relieved that we can look forward next year to the same result as this year! Awesome!
Hold players accountable just like JJ did. Fine the players for each penalty. True leadership from some of the veterans, fire the team up. The team has no enthusiasm.
People wanted the chargers coach fired after they blew the lead last year to the Jags. They didn’t and the team looked horrible the next year. I don’t think the cowboys next year will look that bad but they definitely won’t be as good as they were this year
This proves yet again, Jerry doesn't want to win, he wants to win under his terms. As a Niner fan, I'm so happy they're bringing everyone back. Thank u Lord
Skip acts like every single coach is supposed to be a rah rah guy. McCarthy and Dak aren’t exempt from blame but when are we gonna hold Ceedee Lamb accountable for getting punked? When are we gonna hold Micah Parsons, Dan Quinn, and this defense accountable? There are a lot more things that need to be fixed. I’m ok with McCarthy coming back because he’s on his last year of his contract. If they gave him an extension that would be a different story. But right now it makes more sense to let him finish out his contract. At least you know you’re gonna be in the playoffs and let the chips fall where they may and if the same thing happens, McCarthy walks with no issues.
😂 I've been saying this from the beginning of the season being a Cowboys Fan. So many people came for me all year long.. They got rid of the Coach thinking thats the problem, then the Offense C, Kellen Moore, that wasn't the problem, then Cooper cause Dak need a elite WR, then Dak need a good RB to open up the pass, got rid of Zeke.. Did all of that and still have the same denominator, DAK!!! DAK is a average back up QB. But he isn't an elite QB.. He stares down one receiver, never looking at the check down. He forcing the ball to Lamb and the other receiver is wide open.. You know who he throwing to because he looks at one receiver the whole play.. 8 years one and done and that's how long Dak been there. 8 years same results. Dak is garbage
Dak wasn't the reason any of those things happened. Kellen is the reason Zek is gone. Kellen always abandoned run. He is all about passing. Kellen got rid of himself with the last play against 49ers. He had Zek at center lol. I will never get that play out of my head. Dak force feeds CeeDee because they want to paint the narrative he's a true number 1. He's not, and that's the truth. Our team is built the way it is because of our owner. Jerry is going to keep coaches and players that let him call the plays, determine who gets the ball, etc. Kellen ran some of the same plays for the Chargers that he called for Dallas. You see how that turned out lol.
@@Jgip34 can you Readdddd!!!!! I said they got rid of everything thinking it was the problem... Dak is the real problem. Dak is garbage, point blank period.
@StayWoke561 I read fine. It doesn't matter who the QB of Dallas is. Short of Mahomes, Brady type, we are not winning the NFC championship or the Superbowl. Our owner hasn't built the coaching staff or team to win those types of games. You can put all the blame you want on Dak, but he was just in the MVP conversation. The blame goes to our owner. Dak was a 4th-round pick, fourth backup. He is what he is. Again, Jerry has kept him as the QB. Put the blame were it actually belongs, the head of the organization. Period!!!

Keyshawn is tripping. He’s saying that picking another coach might reset the clock and that McCarthy and the Cowboys are “close”. How is being historically destroyed in the first round close? What are the odds Belichick “resets” the clock vs McCarthy taking you to the SB?

Not a cowboys fan but they NEEDED Belichick, you’re not just looking for an offensive/defensive upgrade, you’re looking for a coach that will make the players LISTEN and apply, cause that’s what it looks like to me when I see the cowboys, the skills are there and decent but they show their own doubt when they start losing, they need to be a working system
Just do what you can, Skip. Just ask someone in the organization, front office or coaching staff, why the three Dallas pass-rushers #11 M.Parsons, DT#97 Odighizuwa, and #92 Armstrong failed to put up their arms & hands when they were closing in on QB Jordan Love and had perfect golden opportunities to prevent (but failed to prevent) long completions. With 13:22 left in 1st quarter, DT#97 Ogighizuwa broke through but failed to put up his arms & hands and thus failed to even attempt to deflect the pass or even just obscure the QB’s vision downfield. 23-yard completion was the result and the route was officially on. Ditto with DE#92 Armstrong with 3:03 left in the 1st quarter and a 26-yard completion on 3rd & 9 was the result. With 1:38 left in the 3rd quarter, Micah Parsons broke through but failed to raise his arms & hands and 38-yard TD pass was the result. They could stand to use how DE#90 D.Lawrence caused an INT week 18 at Washington with 1:47 left before halftime as an example. D.Lawrence indeed raised his arms & hands while closing in on the QB and the INT was the result. Now Week 17 vs Detroit with 1:52 left in 3rd quarter, Cowboys had the football facing 3rd & 11 when Detroit LB#46 Jack Campbell did the Cowboys a favor by blitzing, getting a free lane to the QB and failing to raise his arms & hands while closing in on QB Prescott, and a Cowboy 1st down was the result, as was a game-tying FG three plays later. But then Micah Parsons returns the favor with 14:21 left in 4th quarter, when with Detroit facing 2nd & 13 on their own 22, Parsons broke through but didn’t raise his arms & hands while closing in on QB Goff, and a 65-yard completion was the result. In week 5 at 49ers with 13:26 left in 2nd quarter, Cowboys were only losing 7-0 at that point. But on 1st & 10 DT#97 Odighizuwa closes in on QB Purdy, and again Odighizuwa failed to raise his arms & hands to atleast make an attempt to deflect the pass or to simply even obscure Purdy’s view, and a 38-yard TD to George Kittle was the result. Two Cowboy greats from yesterday-century in Too Tall Jones & Haley’s Comet always charged in with their arms & hands in the air when closing in on the QB (unless they were blind-siding him), and those two helped big time in helping Cowboys reach some combined 10 NFC Title games, six of which the Cowboys won. Leon Lett always raised his arms & hands when closing in on QBs as well. Cowboys must use the week 18 INT at Washington with 1:47 remaining before halftime and what DE#90 D.Lawrence did to cause that INT as the blueprint of how it’s done.
I mean you can bring up Mike winning a chip before but..... how much of that was Aaron Rodgers? I mean we saw what Tom had on Bill. A good QB can carry you pretty hard. Is Dak anywhere near the level of Aaron?
Yep why would Jerry care about the players when they all hype? Micah is a joke, Dak always chokes, Trevon Diggs weak af, Bland a one hit wonder… this is Dez and Zeke all over again. Overpaid overhyped loser players

This was the best debate Undisputed has had since the show's return. Skip Bayless was spot on.
Really? Not one person on the planet. including McCarthy, thinks that McCarthy should still be the coach. Keyshawn is nuts!
If Dallas hopes to win, they'll need a new qb. Dak has major problems against zone match defenses and no signs of improving. He's been in the league too long to have those issues.
And Jerry to leave
@@gfhipster9068 I wouldn't argue that one bit. 🫡

Dan Quinn needs to go! Not Mike
@@kaptainkush4351so it was Dak's idea to do a QB sneak with no timeouts and putting Zeke under center to end their other playoff runs?
How would they get worse ? They have a top 3 roster
Dak Prescott Is not very talented, that Is the problem with the Cowboys! He's a slightly above average QB. The Boys need an elite
QB.

Jerry keeping Mike as the head coach reinforces what i been saying for years about the Cowboys; they wont win it until Jerry and his son step down as GM and Asst GM and hire a GM who has control and final say on the draft, free agency and contract negotiations.
Jerry just told everyone in that locker room that sundays performance was acceptable 🙄

McCarthy had issues at GreenBay and I see similar failures at Dallas Cowboys. He has a decent group of players to work with, but the domination only seems to happen against less talented teams. By the time Dallas makes the playoffs every team has them figured out.
The difference between Green Bay and Dallas was the quarterback play

It shows that the cowboys are fine with winning their weak division, making the playoffs and going out in the 1st or 2nd round. Jerry wants a lap dog coach and hates it when anyone isn’t that. This off-season has some great head coaching candidates that would actually fit and win in Dallas but Jerry is going to let that pass and get a new coach next year that is just happy to be there and be Jerry’s pet.

Agreed, him amd geno smith seem similar to me, look great at times but never in the big games

“Here we don’t goooooo..and there we went.” I ain’t go lie Skip had me weak w/ that opening line
