I said it yesterday, Jerry Jones is the defacto big dog & head coach in his eyes. He WILL NOT bring in anybody that will possibly challenge that position ever again. All the coaches he’s had outside of Parcells & Jimmy were just happy to be there
He only gonna be alive like 2 more years what does it matter. In all reality Dallas has had two choke artist QBs, Romo and Dak. Look at the packers in that time, Favre, To Rodger’s, now Love. The cowboys players are always more hype than substance. Demarco Murray was actually one of the real true dawgs Dallas had and he’s forgotten. Guys like Micah, Trevon, Daron Bland, Dez Bryant, Zeke, Dak, are all hype and not substance. Cowboys need to let Jerry pass and try to get real solid players. Build a culture like Tomlin or lafluer, not this garbage reality tv drama Dallas does now.

I’m not a cowboys fan but Skip is spot on from outside looking in. Cowboys franchise need a hard coach to hold players accountable and that’s exactly who Harbaugh is. However will Jerry Jones allow that type of control to be handed to a coach like Harbaugh? No chance. Even some Niners players didn’t see it for Coach Harbaugh during their reign. Also Sherman clashed with his Stanford coach Harbaugh should tell you something. However this might be what Cowboys needs. I don’t see Jerry allowing this behavior in his franchise.
Maybe the best new team in Texas is the Houston Texans they got a future and a great coach and a good GM. They also have a QB that makes Dak look poor at his position.

He's lacking so much nuance. Do coaches deserve time to implement their philosophies and strategies? Sure. But when a coach or a player isn't showing ANY progress or improvement and stays awful, he's got to go. Imagine working a regular job and producing incompetently lousy work. No boss will say, "Well, let's give him a few more years to find his footing." The Cowboys are a for-profit organization and should live by the same standards.
What keyshawn fails to realize is that the cowboys have been struggling with all of those same exact issues of time management, penalties, etc Since Garrett era. So Skip is right...this is nothing new for over a decade

@@davidruiz63 when they were that 8-8 team it was disappointing but knew we had a lot of key pieces missing. Especially on defense. I knew those teams were not ones that had me thinking we actually have a shot at atleast being in the Super Bowl and possibly winning.
If Dallas hopes to win, they'll need a new qb. Dak has major problems against zone match defenses and no signs of improving. He's been in the league too long to have those issues.

By this logic, Michael Tomlin should also be dismissed. He won his only super bowl 15 years ago (vs McCarthy's 13) while also losing to McCarthy in the latters only win... Steelers keep Tomlin who year after year, is >= .500, had a HOF QB for the majority of his career yet only delivered one Lombardi.

Why did anyone think Jerry would bring a coach that wants control or why would any coach that doesn't want to deal with nonsense go to Dallas under Jerry? Bellicheck and Harbough were not going to do that.
Keyshawn is wrong on so many levels here. When your team is one of the favorites to win it all, and your organization wants to win the SB, and your team is talented enough to win it all. But you get knocked out in the 1st round again and again and again, the worst thing you can do is to do nothing. Chances are you will repeat the same results next season when you do that. If you make major changes, yeah there is a chance you get worse. But if you get worse, so what? you already failed to win the SB, failing to win the SB again means nothing. But if you change and hit it right, you might win the SB. So yeah, that is why you should make changes at such a point in time.

QB. Troy Aikmen was an Elite Franchise QB. I'm a Packer fan and have been watching The Packers since the Lombardi days. Mike McCarthy Is a good coach but his play calling gets Stale and Predictable!!!! And that's how the Packers Defense took advantage of the Boys In Dallas!. It was looking like the Packers defense already knew what plays Dak Prescott and the Cowboys offense were going to run very early In the game! Dallas has a some very talented players and they are In a weak division, If Jerry Jones can find a franchise QB perhaps In the draft the Cowboys can easily win that division again make a deep playoff run. If on the other hand JJ gives Dak a big contract that's a BIG MISTAKE!

I hope that next season we get the hardest schedule. Because playing against bad teams has only made us soft. I’m tired of Mike McCarthy but this will be his last season. If he doesn’t even get us to a nfc championship, then it’s best to say our goodbyes and get someone new.

Ty for bringing up the Cowboys and McCarthy losing to the Cards this season. J. Dobbs had 4 starts in the NFL before that win. Playoff-winning teams beat teams they're supposed to beat. (Anyone remember the last team McCarthy lost to while at GB? It was a home game in Dec against the Cards. He was FIRED within days.)

It shows that the cowboys are fine with winning their weak division, making the playoffs and going out in the 1st or 2nd round. Jerry wants a lap dog coach and hates it when anyone isn’t that. This off-season has some great head coaching candidates that would actually fit and win in Dallas but Jerry is going to let that pass and get a new coach next year that is just happy to be there and be Jerry’s pet.
Jerry is clearly making these decisions on his own. He counsels no one and no one dare challenges him.

They got rid of the Coach thinking thats the problem, then the Offense C, Kellen Moore, that wasn't the problem, then Cooper cause Dak need a elite WR, then Dak need a good RB to open up the pass, got rid of Zeke.. Did all of that and still have the same denominator, DAK!!! DAK is a average back up QB. But he isn't an elite QB.. He stares down one receiver, never looking at the check down. He forcing the ball to Lamb and the other receiver is wide open.. You know who he throwing to because he looks at one receiver the whole play.. 8 years one and done and that's how long Dak been there. 8 years same results. Dak is garbage

Our team is built the way it is because of our owner.
