I love watching your videos and I love playing hunter, but I can't shake the feeling that I must be awful at it, because everyone just melts me in half a second.

Rafael, I feel your pain. I main'd a rogue for a long time. I don't remember the expansion but for a while, I was getting dominated by warlocks. I couldn't figure out why so... I made a warlock. I leveled it slowly enough to learn each spell as it became active. And then, armed with the knowledge of everything that was in the warlock toolkit, I got back on my rogue and started winning sometimes.
PvP is definitely about knowing how to play your class/spec. But, it's just as much about knowing how the other classes play. So, you might consider making just one of the classes that dominate you, and level it slowly, learning every spell as it becomes active. Then, jump back on your hunter and see how much better you'll do. Good luck!

2 pieces are garbage but 4 pieces are good. However, I don't think it is necessary to have 4 sets to have fun as mm hunter in bg.

I would go for crits, if you are talking about PVP

I believe it's a combined "Survival of the Fittest" and "Nature's Endurance", both of which are found in the Hunter talent tree. SotF _"Reduces all damage you and your pet take by 20% for 6 sec,"_ and NE _"Survival of the Fittest reduces damage taken by an additional 20%."_
