The vinyl recording is digitised using the following equipment:
Turntable: Brinkmann Oasis with Brinkmann 10.5 and RöNt III power supply
Cartridge: Hana ML
via XLR Cable to
Amplifier: Technics SU-R1000
with an RCA connection to a Tascam DA-3000 master recorder and recorded in DSD - 5.6Mhz quality.
Scratches were carefully removed with the software "Vinylstudio". The music file was then saved as aiff 24bit /192kHz file. This file was then imported into iMovie for movie creation.
The film is edited with iMovie, resulting in an 4K ProRes video file with LPCM Audio 24Bit/48Khz. The video is compressed with Shutter Encoder and the audio signal is embedded with LPCM 24Bit/48Khz.
This file is uploaded to RUclips.
Before recording, the LP's are cleaned with the Humminguru Ultrasonic Vinyl Record Cleaner.

Back in 1982 when I was just a young pup in the military, a group of us Canadian Signallers went to Germany to hang with British Signallers for a month on their base. It was part of an exchange program. The lads introduced me to so much music I had never heard before. Then one of the guys threw on this tape - Oxygene. I was gob smacked. I had never heard anything like it before. It wasn't even a high quality audio system either. So when I got back to Canada and bought the album and played it on a decent system, wow. Life changing. Then of course I got Equinoxe and that blew me away too. Thanks lads for making me aware of the great Jean Michel Jarre.

Like so many other folks it brings back memories of experiencing nothing like this before from so long ago back in India. The journey was especially memorable because I had to look so hard to find a copy when global commerce was not a thing. Now almost 45 years later living in us I have a CD version, digital version, audiophile lp version in my collection. But none can replace that original feeling of wonder and discovery.

Recuerdo que con mucho esfuerzo en mi adolescencia compré el álbum después de haberlo escuchado en el pabellón de Japón en una feria internacional de Bogotá, no sabía de dónde salían esos extraños y agradables sonidos que ambientaban el pabellón japonés averigue el nombre del intérprete compre el disco por encargo porque en la tienda de discos todavía no lo conocían a los poco días tuve el álbum en mis manos llegué a mi casa con mucha emoción llamé a mi viejita la senté en un sillón de la sala prendí la radiola marca admiral le dije que cerrara los ojos y nos dispusimos a escuchar esos bellos sonidos por unos instantes nos transportamos a otra dimensión fue un lindo momento que siempre llevaré en mis recuerdos hasta el último día, 😳🥺😳🥺😳🥺
