I think it will be Wally for 3 reasons 1) Wally is the most popular Flash of all and has larger number of stories that could be used in films and adaptations. 2) Since Batman and Hal Jordan will already be older and, established heroes, it would make sense for Wally to be already the Flash since, in the comic his age is close to Dick Grayson (who in the DCU would probably already be Nightwing). 3)After the mess that was The Flash film, with all the behind the scene issues caused by Ezra Miller, I have doubts DC will want to touch Barry Allen any time soon.

Considering how Amanda Waller and her organization seem to be have role in projects like Peacemaker, Creature Commando and Superman Legacy (there are rumors that the villain will be a Superman's clone) I think most of the DCAU projects might be building up towards a Justice League film adapting the Cadmus Arc, with Waller becoming the main villain (their film will be less of typical "heroes come together to fight an alien invasion" and more of a spy thriller, with heroes trying to find evidence of Waller's crimes).
I doubt we even see Barry for a long time. They may even run the whole Parallax story, kill Hal, turn him into the Spectre, resurrect him as a younger actor and then bring back Barry from the Speed Force with a similarly aged actor as the new Hal.
Kinda unrelated to the discourse but I wanna say I really recommend reading more Wally. A lot of his 90s stuff written by Mark Waid is really good and defined The Flash as we know it today. Some notable storylines to check out are Born to Run, Return of Barry Allen, and The Human Race. Geoff Johns also wrote a good Wally run in the early 2000s.
I'll zip over to those for sure. I'm currently on #105 and having a good time making my way through Waids run. I like a lot of Geoffs 2000s stuff, so I'm excited to tail off volume 2 with him. Appreciate the rec and you watching 🙌
I definitely feel like Grant Gustin, Nu52, and the Zack Snyder stuff helped a huge push in defining the modern Barry Allen after Geoff Johns brought him back to the mainline, but Wally was always the main Flash, at least for me, the comics seem to be going back to Wally slowly and since this whole DCU thing is gonna have a good chunk of legacy out of the gate (Supergirl, three Lanterns, two Beetles, implied Robins) I feel like starting with Wally as Flash would be the best way to go and could really revitalize the character for audiences after he got pushed aside for the Barry revival, cause even now that I appreciate the Barry Allen character far more after spending the last 15 or so years with him, I still prefer the Wally West iteration and believe that his 20 year comic history as The Flash is far more iconic overall than either Jay or Barry and it's time DC and even Warner Bros. recognize that.
Grant Gustin's Barry was as important as Adam West's Bruce Wayne in terms of popularising their respective hero, so id say the general public thinks of Barry first. That said, id prefer wally.
I'll be surprised if it isn't Wally. He makes more sense for a long-established DCU. Plus, I'm foreseeing the DCU Justice League lineup being the same as the initial Timmverse one.
I havnt watched the video yet but i am going to put my own predictions here:j udging by how we have, john Stewart and Damian, i feel like it will be Wally. This also has good opportunity for prequel and flashback movies that show characters like barry and the other robins.
I think that if Barry is The Flash at the beginning of this universe he wouldn't be The Flash for very long and would probably die pretty early in the universe with Wally taking over. The fact they want an older actor to play Hal tells me that they're going to have Hal making his exit soon, passing the torch down to John Stewart (and maybe Kyle Rayner but that's more wishful thinking than anything). So, if Barry IS still around, he'd probably be making his exit soon as well. Barry in the comics died 8 years prior to Hal dying (1986 to 1994) so I think it's more than possible for Barry to have already been dead for like half a decade at this point giving plenty of time for Wally to be the new Flash for a while. I don't think it makes too much sense to have Wally still be Kid Flash at the beginning of this universe. We already know that Batman Brave and the Bold has Damian set up as the new Robin and the BatFamily being pre-established. This means that Dick Grayson is more than likely already Nightwing at this point, and probably around his mid 20s if I had to guess. Dick and Wally are around the same age, so Wally should also be around his mid 20s, so the name Kid Flash would be very ill fitting for him at this point. You'd either have to give him a new superhero identity or put him and Dick in separate generations, making Wally closer in age with the Young Justice group which doesn't really feel right since his relationship with the OG Titans, Dick Grayson in particular, is one of his important relationships that isn't a Flash character. To me, if we have Dick as Nightwing, then Wally should be The Flash. I think Barry Allen will definitely exist in the DCU, but I think it's more likely he's already, especially with what we know about Hal's age, the status of the BatFamily, and the fact that Barry has been the main Flash in adaptations for last decade, it's time for Wally to have his time. It's also not necessary to have Barry's death be due to Crisis on Infinite Earths, there are many other ways to kill him off, I think having him be absorbed by the speed force in a fight with Reverse Flash makes the most sense as a replacement for the events of Crisis.

@SailorSuitRebel I think they are going for a very ambitious melding of timelines. Cause having Barry and Jay with that age gap is fine, but Hal being so near in age with Jay is weird to me. It's going to be interesting to see how much ground they cover character and worldbuilding-wise once the DCU starts going. And if they can pull it off, this might be next-level. Time will tell! With Hal being that old but Superman and John being way younger, Gunn could do what the tomorrowverse did and make it so that Barry and John are best friends instead, if they were to keep Barry in the younger side. Although I don't think that would be very likely, personally, I really want Barry to be the main flash for at least 1 or 2 movies (I just need a comic accurate Barry to be portrayed for once), so i really wouldn't mind if they did this.

If that is the case, im fine with the age being whatever they decide.
