LOVE LIVE THE AWESOME MEMORY OF THE WORLD’S GREATEST ENTERTAINER! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
That smile could light up Las Vegas!
I used to live in Augusta when I was in high school. Every Christmas, his estate was covered with Christmas lights and was really beautiful.
👍💯💜👏👏👏🎆.Thank you Jordan.Great job. This is a awesome video.im sure Mr James Brown would of been proud. He did spend some time in Macon, Georgia. He had a Recording studio here. It's now Jones Brothers Mortuary. I'm not sure but before the perms he had his hair straighten, aunt Lucille had a Beauty shop. He knew the family.she might of done his hair. He .might been in macon because of Little Richard. He was always sharp as a tack. I smile at that tiger balm. I'm told it was good for pain.i did enjoy learning things I didn't know. Seeing the museum. I'm sure most if not all.of his suits were Taylor made.his shoes was always shined. Again thank you. I didn't know he had diabetes. Love, respect and positivity always
Neita James. 🙂👋.
I live in Augusta thank you for posting this also I worked for Mr brown several years he was a awesome human being
I live in NYC. I was at all of his shows. (THE APOLLO) After a show, outside at the back stage door. In the 70's, James came out walked over to me and said Hi, I'm JAMES BROWN. After a second, the girls around me started screaming. His bodyguards took him away. Ohhh, by the way, I was sitting in the first row wearing HOT PANT!! I believe he saw me from the stage. LOL
I was listening to the radio when he passed away. That night I had a dream of a man standing build like JB. Standing in the shadows walked to me and handed me something, turned and walked down some stairs to a bright light. I believe he Passed the pattan to me a FAN. I have a designing business now.
Great story. Didn't see as many of his shows as you. I remember once me, my uncle, brother, best friend and her sisters standing on line in the rain wrapping past and around 8th Avenue. Saw my mother coming. Thought we were in some kind of trouble. She brought us umbrellas and sandwiches. All of us lived on 115th Street 4 doors down from Wadleigh Junior High School in which for three years Anna Marie Horsford was my classmate.
Michael Jackson presented James Brown with the Lifetime Achievement Award at The Bet Awards years ago…James did not know he was presenting and he came out and the band started playing Michael did his version of James Brown’s dance steps and the audience went crazy he told Danny Ray to put his cape on Michael!! Michael got choked up telling the audience that “this man is the single most influential person in his career!” James Brown Live at the Apollo. me and my cousins used to dance our puts off to that record😂😂
Yes, James Brown was a tremendous influence on Michael growing up. He always said that a lot of his success was due to James Brown. He idolized him.
Bruh why y’all pulling mj into this video, you know this is about James brown right?
Fun Fact:James Brown's song Funky Drummer is the most sampled record of all time it's been sampled from Public Enemy,NWA,George Michael and Janet Jackson
I am from Augusta, Ga and I saw him on the street corner of Broad street in downtown Augusta circa 1973. He had on a full length fur coat an sunglasses and there was this crowd of people I would say I am guessing around 20 or so that had come up to talk to him.
I lived there in the 70’s and my daughter still does. My granddaughter sang in the movie theater associated with him. How cool ! Loved James.
Thank you Jordan very historical and interesting. Loved James Brown. A legend.
I'll never forget seeing him live in Philly! Omgoodness! Electrifying!!! I say, "You can't have a good party without James Brown!!! 🎊
Thank you! It was the first concert I went to, Mr. and Brother James Brown. Always will be loved! He was music and his talent was/is unsurpassed, so much so that it affected other artists who emulated him and carried his legacy into even more greatness. There is only one, Mr. James Brown. Thank you and I know you are at rest and your soul is with GOD. Blessings to his family always! Amen. 💜🙏🏽
thanks jorden very cool .shout out to jah.
Thank You James Brown and Daze with Jordan the Lion. How fortunate we were to have his music. Great entertainer.
James Brown fez a trilha sonora do final da minha infância e adolescencia. Aliás ouço seus discos até hoje. Pena que naquela época não havia informações como hoje
Saw James at Philly's Uptown Theater numerous times in the early 60s!
James Brown was one of a kind. Finally know how he got his hair looking so good. It was nice getting to see some of his personal things along with his entertaining side . Those three piece costumes he wore on stage so classy. He was stylin and profiling in them. It’s a shame that the family still haven’t come to an agreement on where to lay him down. Last I heard was one of his daughters has his casket in her front yard with a canopy over it. James Brown deserves better than that. Love new intros. Thank you for all you do. God bless
Very good vlog liked see all his suits and all his other things they had
Hey buddy the name of the town is Beach Island South Carolina and James Brown’s house sits directly through the woods behind my aunts house
Yet another fabulous intro Jordon. Both James Brown vlogs were both brilliant, educational & enjoyable.
Thanx Jordon
I love cities that keep the lives of their famous residents, especially life long ones alive. Other cities could learn from the fantastic job Augusta has done with The Godfather. ❤ keeping history accurate and alive! Jordan great vlog! 🐩
He was truly a unique individual they'll never be another one like Mr Brown. 🦁
Doctor Detroit was my favorite James Brown movie. I got to meet T.K.Carter from that movie and he seemed blown away that I liked it so much!
I’ve told you many times that I was a stage manager for a few years in Cincinnati before moving to Hollywood. Anyway, we had James on our show a lot and I would always start out calling him Mr Brown. To show what a great guy he was he always insisted that I call him James. If a horn player hit a wrong note he would fine him $50.
Great stuff! 13:18. I believe the “vest” is actually part of the orange jumpsuit you showed earlier. This is what the outfit looks like without the jacket.
Thanks so much for sharing!!🙂
The King👑👑👑👑🤘🏿

6:38 - Awesome ! James with " invited guests " Bruce Springsteen & Michael Jackson 😀 ! James was always top billed 😎
To have been there That month of Sept.
Thank you Jordan. I did not know they had a James Brown museum.
Just for the FYI (I live here), it’s a whole section for James Brown in the Augusta Museum of History. They have a ton of other stuff as well-old train, trolley car, canal boat, Sally Ride’s astronaut suit, toms of history about the area, plus a lot about the other famous people from or who lived in the area. It’s a very interesting museum. Not far from there is the Woodrow Wilson home which can be toured. There is a lot of history in Augusta, North Augusta and Aiken area
The museum was great, loved seeing all the great things on James Brown. That museum had just about everything and it's so great to be able to see and learn about Mr. Brown. Thank for the great tour.

Another fantastic vlog! Thank you for filming the places some of us can’t visit ❤️
I remember back in the 60s, our city reached out to mr. Brown to come and try to calm things down here in Omaha. Malcolm X was from here in Omaha and things were really getting bad. So Mr Brown came and put on a concert and talk to the people of Omaha try to settle things down here. Things after he left actually got worse.
Great vlog!
One of the giants. Thanks Jordan!
I soo enjoy when I get trips that go to the South. So, far I have not encountered not one Southern person whom was flying to be rude. They are the one that like talking and I have Great conversations with them. Southern people make my FA ✈️ trips much more enjoyable. This was a GREAT tour!!!! 👏🏼🦁👏🏼
As a southern born and bred person, thank you for saying that! We always try to be nice, polite, helpful and yes talkative (as my daughter says we can strike up a conversation with anyone). We do love our southern hospitality! Come for a visit anytime!
