- 1 hour of extended music from the mission Prisoner X. The music features a mix of all the exploration and ambient themes that play during the mission. Video does not show the start of the mission while chasing down the helicopter through The View district, nor does it feature any of the combat or chase themes that play during the scene and near the end of the mission.

This soundtrack, especially these extended mixes, just makes me reflect on the story of Catalyst.
Even though it wasn't the best story, it was a very immersive experience with many memorable moments and a rich world full of lore.
Hmm not sure if this was the last of the bigger missions that I needed to do, but I may go back and do more districts next during act 2 and act 3, also want to try doing the Gridnodes soon.
Wait, are you saying that the ambient music during free roam changes throughout the game?
@@Worldwidegam3rEach district has 3 day time themes and 3 night time themes besides The View district, that only has 2 day and 2 for the night time. The themes change depending on where you are in the main story.
Yeah go to the gridnodes it's parkour puzzle solving but it's never annoying
@@GamingAmbience when you go down the Ocean Pier district, doing some node-hacking time-narrow job for Plastic, on the very edge of the Cascadia map boundary...you will find this playing.
Love this game OST's and the channel, usually have at least 2 or 3 opened tabs of the channel open. Thanks for the content.

The game has a very beautiful cityscape and music
But its story sucks
Yeah they replaced Rhianna Pratchett but the new writer still managed to screw the story somehow. And they didn't make a lot of effort to make the world believable and fun to explore and go back to. Lots of hard ass challenges that don't reward you with anything significant.
The game itself is like a dream. Like a ascetic ultramodernistic neat dreamland you explore, in a very way from a parkourist' dream.

Im listening to this piece like 10th time, its astounding what a world it creates. I even sat and contemplated on how great and intricate the name of this game is: the mirror's edge. Never thought about taking the time to appreciate it.
so true. i was just thinking about how much effort the devs put into this game. I can't say if it will happen or not but I really hope the series gets a sequel or an expansion cos the in-game map is really big but u only get to run on roughly 30% of it.

It is... but I know I'll end up treating it just like I did GTA5...
I'll rush through the single player campaign (for completeness sake) just so I can add a bunch of mods, then spend hours walking around soaking in ambiance (READ: staring at shit for hours)...
In GTA I will literally freeze time around 11pm, turn on permanent thunderstorms, walk someplace cool (my favorites are the deck and bedroom of Franklin's Vinewood Hills house) pipe it to my bedroom home theater and let it play all night.
EDIT: for ME:C it'll definitely be in the rain in the prologue and anywhere in the Regatta Bay or Ocean Glass View district. Hopefully someone will enable a rain mod for the entire game...
@@psygnale I spend hours roaming around the View. Not even finished the game yet. I fear I might get tired of it after I'm done with the story.
im late lol but yes, u should get it 100%. i played it a few months back. the story, the ambience, the feeling u get when u run and when u complete missions, all are next level. if u get stuck somewhere, theres a ton of vids on yt to help you out. my advice is to try to first figure it out on ur own tho, its much more satisfying that way ^^

Ai and character line delivery are not this games strengths but my God is solar fields and the atmosphere of this game amazing. It's an underrated game that's super cheap these days and yes i appreciate the original mirrors edge but I honestly like this more. No I'm not always in favour of the whole open world thing because it does feel barren at times but I wouldn't go as far as saying it's lifeless. Verdict. It leaves a little to be desired but that's only because the game obviously had potential.Gameplay is fun but they botched the fucking story. Solar fields was great ea fucked up though
regarding this virus from china, I report the need for some pandemic "relaxation" scenes :P
