I'm a life long gardener. This year is the first year I'm growing okra. It happens to be a super healthy food. Looks like I'm gonna have a bunch of it.

We grow it and eat it right off the stalk for a crunchy snack. YUM! My husband knows he has to make sure to grow tomatoes & okra & keep a swimming pool every summer,or he won't have a very happy winter!

Hey Backwood, I use to fry my okra the same way most of my life until a friend of mine changed that by showing me what he did. He cuts the ends off and slice them long way down the middle and then prepares them to fry. Reason being is he said and I agree you get more okra flavor and you can actually eat them with your fingers like a chicken tender. Try that sometime and see how you like it. Semper Fi!!

My Granny would fry up okra and make creamed corn. The only way I knew to eat okra for years was to dip the fried okra on a plate and top it with creamed corn. It was sooo delicious!
My mama would boil okra, drain the water and melt butter onto it. A little salt and pepper and woooooo! 😜

Breaded okra in skillet with small portion of extra virgin olive oil. Add onions, onion and garlic powder, little salt and pepper. Let cook to brown put on lid to smother. Taste great. I also cook my green tomatoes the same way. Good eating.

One way to avoid the slime for those who dont like okra is to use fresh or frozen okra and place the pieces of a ceramic plate and spread the okra flat and somewhat apart. Salt the okra generously but no overboard just as you would a steak or anything else. Place the plate or baking tray in a microwave for about 8 mins or a oven at 275-300 for 15-20 mins the okra will shrink and become dry. Once dry they can be added to stews salads sauces etc without releasing the slime. The slime is actually still there only dried but once in our digestive system okra will activate its original properties. Only reminder is to be careful of the additional salt when seasoning the main dish as the okra is salted as well.

    Oh boy....
I've always added it small size amount of butter garlic powder fresh cracked black peppercorns and salt and onion powder turn up the fire and reduce down to make the most flavor explosive delicious revenge reduction sauce
Before any liquid always saute onions at chopped garlic last careful do not burn the garlic it will render the bitter taste throughout the entire dish
    I love okra ...
green, bell - Pepper... And Onions
    Saute
    With, Cabbage...💘✨😋✨😋✨💘

make sure that you talk accurately for instance in the beginning of your vid you said that you were gonna show 2 ways to make okra but your title says 3 and you also said in the vid that you were gonna make it 3 different ways and you actually did and i was glad that you did it 3 different ways because i wanted to see how you boiled yours and i was glad that your boiling method was included. when i first heard you say that you were gonna make it 2 different ways i kinda got less interested in what you were presenting because what you said didnt agree with the vid title notwithstanding i watched all of your vid and it was cool peace be with you.

The dogs aren’t stupid, they just didn’t have wild parents to teach them how to attack the Bull from the back. 2 wild dogs or wolves would snip the Achilles’ tendon on he bull over hours of fighting: one distracting from the front and the other nipping little by little and then eat that bull alive while it’s down crying from the pain of the nips and exhaustion.
