I was introduced to chair yoga at the VA in Minneapolis. This is really great for the 50+ crowd and anyone with limited mobility. Add to that the fact that mindfulness meditation is good for everyone and it is so simple. Before I was introduced to mindfulness meditation I thought I had to be a monk or light incense and candles and do other ritualistic stuff. Nope! Just pay attention to your breath. That's it. Thanks for the wonderful video and calm narration!
Ah, finally! A gentle voice and and a yoga introduction that I can manage with all my arthritis! Thank you. Now to figure out how to save something on youtube!
If you're on a computer, there is a grey button below the lower right corner of the video (if you scroll down slightly) that says "save", which will allow you to save it to a personal playlist
And if you are on your phone, tap your screen in the upper left had corner. Small downward arrow appears. Tap that and a bar appears at the bottom of screen...tap LIBRARY. You get a list of possibilities. I like to put in 'Watch Later' list. Anything that appeals to you, that you do, indeed, want to watch later, pop it in there. I was very happy to discover this way to save, rather than trying to remember! (Use download catagory for your next plane trip, etc. Very cool!) Good luck! ❤
My husband and I did this video together tonight. I enjoyed the mindfulness aspect, quieting my mind. My husband loved the stretches and back strengthening.
With chronic stress, chronic pain, major depression & high anxiety, it is very difficult for me to find any type of exercise or relaxation that doesn't cause more pain or concerns. As per my usual I was highly skeptical but threw all thoughts out the window and gave your video a try the very first time watching it and to say it was absolutely amazing is the understatement of this century! To find ease of pain and complete utter relaxation (something amazingly hard to do with chronic high cortisol!), well there just are no words to truly completely describe it nor to thank you enough! Keep up the astounding work and thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you so much. The last year has contained a lot that has created stress in my life and I feel like I'm starting over in so many ways. There aren't words to express my appreciation for you.
Sundays are my days of exercise rest and Chair Yoga fills that gap by focusing on ME: my thoughts, and my body as it relates to them ,guided by your excellent, easy to follow directions. I've done two of your Yoga routines today and plan on several more. Always, and thank you!...Anastasia
I work at a senior center they do this video with them a lot of my clients enjoy it can do it too. I sat down with them and did the video now do at home with my home computer. It helps my stress thanks Corey
Thank you for this wonderful, gentle practice! As a regular yoga practitioner who has a problem with both legs as a result of injury until now, this is a Godsend to keeping my upper body and back strong and limber while my lower body rests and heals. Namaste.
This is great. I have arthritis and I am not able to do all floor work so the chair yoga is a good solution. For those who have mentioned seniors and arthritis. There is arthritis and joint and muscle diseases that effect the young too. I was in my 20's when I got RA. The chair yoga can be beneficial for anyone who has limitation with mobility. Young or old. Thank you for your video. I will check out your other videos.
Fantastic! I had surgery on my leg and hip from a car accident and after more than 6 months and can't do much at all. This actually did make me mindful of my body and my breathing. Thank you.
Thanks a lot Corey, I really enjoyed your calm teaching style and the wonderful exercises. My foot is broken, so I cannot follow regular yoga classes. I will check out your other videos, too. Thanks again, Michaela
Great simple but effective routine! An excellent routine to practice even while at work if someone works at a desk. I like the focus on mindfulness! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for sharing this yoga video. I found your instruction easy to follow and your voice tone gentle and relaxing. The exercise is refreshing and I highly recommend.
This was a beautiful way to start my day and begin moving again. I've been diagnosed with chronic fatigue and exercise is important for me - and hard! But this was easy. Thank you!
Wonderful! I have just started using this video and am amazed at how good it makes me feel! I take 15 minutes every morning. Great for beginners like me!
This has been a wonderful experience. I spend a great deal of time at my desk and this is a wonderful way to release some of the tension and encourage me to spend more time taking care of myself. Thank you! :-)
Cory thank you for the lesson..i finally found some exercise I can do being limited to what exercise I do..Ive heard of yoga but never tried it personally..I always thought it required more vigorous movements..I will check out your other videos..jus wanna thank ya...EZ
Nice to watch and be guided. I teach Chair Yoga (a half hour only class) to seniors at a Retirement Residence and its really good to see new ideas. Nice to see a young person teaching too. Namaste and keep up the good work.
I really enjoyed this work out. Thank you for creating it. I tried yoga at a fitness club recently but it was too difficult as I have spinal issues. Thanks again! God Bless you.
This is useful if you've had certain surgeries where you can't bend your head too far for a while or bend your waist down (so no down dogs or forward folds), but you don't want to forgo practice. Thank you.
Great Video! I am working on an exercise program for seniors at my facility and would like to include some mindful chair yoga. I think it would be a great addition to my program. Thanks for the video!
NOOOO! 'You're welcome'..you're welcome. :D Also, I've been looking for exactly this video but done or voiced by a girl. Obviously this is not in offense to you in any way but that is what will work better for me. I've settled on your video but I'm just expressing my frustration with myself in that I too am a young guy, such as yourself, and I too am overlooked as 'not right for the job' just because of the way I look or act and in for no reason due to my capability or quality of work. This is all just a rant but when I saw the improper use of that word I had to chastise you, then inform you, and now just forget everything I said before this; you did a very good job and thank you so much for making the video in exactly the way I was looking for it.
Thank you so much for these videos. I have ehlers-danlos syndrome and can't do the super vigorous exercises without hurting myself. These are nice and slow and controlled. Love MBSR
vickie oglesby The practices are intended for weight loss. But practicing mindfulness more generally can be helpful towards bringing awareness and intention to one's eating and exercise habits.
i feel so stupid, i had back surgery more than 10 years ago...conditions got so much worse over the years and the surgeon did't even warn me. today, i can barely move without excruciating pain. i am hoping to learn here, some tools to deal with that pain, so that i do not have to take drugs
Maybe in Your office - LOL! Some of us non-PC gals enjoy seeing guys stretching. Now think with a Southern Accent: as my momma would say, mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm!

During yoga session how can You tube put an ad? It is risky for health to end the session and try to restart it.
Thank you. This is great. I wish I could get this to my Mum in Australia but she is scared of computers. Do you have a book or DVD?
Your welcome! Yes I do have 4 different Mindful Chair Yoga DVDs available at www.whitecloudwellness.com/collections/mindful-chair-yoga
Will this help with weight loss
