Finding this channel has been the single greatest RUclips adventure I have experienced this year. I love how your family enjoys doing things together, and being on a vessel sailing to different parts of the world is better than any education you could find at any school. God Speed Zatara and Family.
If you like Zatar as I do, look up Sailing With Six! They are an awesome family from Australia or New Zealand sailing around the world as well. the kids are younger. Bella just turned 12. Finn is 11, Archie and Pippin are 8 and 7 I believe. Their upload schedule is a bit more spaced out. Especially since they found out Finn has a medical issue. They are currently in Canada getting him treatment because they are from another Commonwealth Country of course. They are still posting about their trip to make it down the cost of Mexico where they purchased their catamaran after they sold their monohaul. They have actually met the Sailing Zatar crew. I am a Patreon and have asked them to post the footage. I'm not sure if they still will or not. But the family is amazing. The mum and dad are fantastic and the kiddos are about the best you could ask for at those ages. Bella is the typical Big sister but you can see how close they all are. Bella and dad are tight. Finn and Mom are tight. Of course Pippin is the baby of the family and Archie is a fireball of fun with his long shaggy hair. Like the Zatara crew, the Sailing with Six crew are getting an amazing education both on the boat with home school and then in the real world when they get to port plus learning the sailing.
Just a shout out to Renee, the glue that keeps her family together. Editing, cooking, encouraging all. The whole family works well together and I’m in awe of the braveness, hard work and great perspective about countries they’ve been seeing. Thank you Zatara.
Yes, Renee is an amazing woman, mother, friend... I'm inspired by her daily! She ,by actions alone create's change. With her positive out look an great sense of humor!! ✌🏼💗😊⛵
9:30 THANK YOU, for giving us an actual firsthand account of your experience sailing across Somalia 🇸🇴 while mainstream media outlets spew colonial propaganda talking points to this day. This is why I never liked generalizing people regardless if they’re from the West, East, North, or South parts of the world. One God, One Message, and One Humanity is my view of the world. For someone who is unable to travel for whatever reasons, these kind of videos truly are a blessing. Thanks for letting us in and working so hard to make the videos engaging and easy to watch.
I'm sure someone has said so already but that was a bird we call a Hoopoe (pronounced who poo) ... Digs around in the ground with that long beak for insects and worms. Makes a truly beautiful sound that sounds exactly like it's name. Incredible that it got out that far on those little wings!

What an awesome job telling the story of your family adventures … well done. Love that you’re doing this as a family and sharing it with the world … we all need GOOD stories of GOOD FAMILIES! We have a Nordhavn 60 and are currently on west coast of Canada … after taking her to Sea of Cortez after commissioning. Fun fishing hint … my wife saw this on Pinterest (every great idea comes from that site). We keep a small squirt bottle filled with cheap alcohol (vodka works well) on our swim grid. Big fish comes in … we squirt a small amount into the gills … and they instantly become docile for about 2 minutes while we decide whether it’s dinner or back to the deep blue. Take care, keep the cameras rolling and bless you guys as you travel this amazing world.
I met the two of y’all at the mall in Djibouti. Awesome videos and love y’all’s story. If y’all stop back in Djibouti or in corpus let me know. Safe travels!

Another great episode. I loved seeing the kids diving off the boat in the middle of the ocean. Those are the kinds of things I'm looking forward to when we finally get our boat - hopefully in a few months!
Great Video as all ways. Just a correction. The bird you mentioned is called a African Hoopoe (Upupa Africana). One would think that they are part of the Woodpecker family, but they are not. Their bill's are way to thin to peck wood. Thanks for all the amazing videos. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

You folks are my favorite Cruiser channel now. Amazing how much energy and skill Keith displays in fixing things and Mama in charge of the kitchen, keeping up with the inventory and cooking food the family seems to really enjoy. Jack seems to be following in his dad's footsteps in fixing things and maintenance. One thing I am still not sure about is what are Finn and Kate's chores? Maybe you just are not filming when they are working?

Ahoy Zatara! How's the fishing been? Haven't seen you guys land anything for a LONG time. For some reason I enjoy it when you get a fish on your line...and I'm not even a fishing type of guy. Hey Keith, I'm a non-sailor. Don't know that much about boating or sailing, except the very basics I learned when I was a teenager, decades ago. You do these other videos ever now and again on Q&A, and I'm wondering if you would be willing to do a 20-30 minute video on the sails and rigging on Zatara, what each does, how they work, and what it takes to actually sail Zatara.
Hey guys I've been patiently waiting for your videos actually missed you guys LOL. Happy so far for the safe passage can't wait to see the new places you are visiting I'm sure the videos are gonna be awesome

While i sit here in the comfort of my home. I love that your posting your journey. Cause this gives us a glimpse of whats its like there. Safe travels.
Hi 👋 just found your channel! What an adventure you're all having and very envious. You're in my favorite part of the world, as a diver the Red is by far the best is the world as being British, only 5hrs flight away. The bird is a Hoopee, not a woodpecker, but an interesting and friendly guy. Enjoy the fantastic Red Sea and safe journeys friends 👋🇬🇧 xxx
Thank you so much for sharing your jouney. This was my dads dreams to take the family & live on a sailboat sailing the world. My mom was not into that so he never got to experience it. He would've loved to see your family living those dreams. Thank you again
Can you discuss fuel costs in the Middle East in your next episode. Has it gotten less expensive? And where in your worldwide sailing travels has fuel been the highest/lowest etc. Thanks for sharing your family adventure!
Gotta hand it to you guys, you’re taking a really exciting route. Can’t wait to see how Jeddah goes. Changed a lot recently and a hidden gem, but let’s see
Very impressive. First youtuber boat I watch going through the red sea....I would need to see more do it but definitively good to know somebody is going that way !
Great to see your sojourns are going so well. There has to be a party when you complete the circumnavigation.. PS the Woodpecker was actually a Hoopoe / Hoopla bird. Very common in the Middle East.

Hey Keith, that 'woodpecker' that stopped by your boat is called a Hoopoe and we have them around our home in Thailand...
Absolutely love your sailing adventure videos.

Loving your journey! Outstanding vid quality, too, btw! Kudos to Renee! Great job as always!
Love the Cuban Yoyo trolling off the stern!

Very impressive. First youtuber boat I watch going through the red sea....I would need to see more do it but definitively good to know somebody is going that way !
I love that you are putting the date that the video was filmed. Thanks for that
Your vids always put a smile on my face. I love your family and thanks for sharing your journey. Safe travels.
Great to see your sojourns are going so well. There has to be a party when you complete the circumnavigation.. PS the Woodpecker was actually a Hoopoe / Hoopla bird. Very common in the Middle East.
