Retaliation Cobra Commander was the best Cobra Commander in that line bar none even better than this figure. Though he might be a little more expensive. Personally this line I haven't been excited about it and I don't even have any I don't like the stylized look
Fantastic looking figure. Mine should be on the way from Cool Toy Club shortly. I hope they reissue Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow at some point. I was waiting for BBTS to offer them and when I was realized they were Asia-only they were gone. I'll probably pre-order the rest from SmallJoes as I prefer US-based retailers.
Looks amazing but so does the Hasbro ones you showed, maybe someday we sill see the return of 1/18 from them. Hiya works better with a little hair dryer time the 1st time you articulate them (i know nobody likes it and we should not have to but as the song says "that's just the way it is).
I'm not really a fan of that helmet. It looks cool in the artwork, but the face mask is to "T" shaped on the figure. The rest of the figure looks great, and I really like the Sam Browne style belt. For the most part, the Hiya figures look really cool. A lot better than those gangly looking 25th Anniversary era 4 inch figures. With 1:18 scale, it's vintage o-ring or nothing for me though. Anything modern, I prefer 6 inch figures.
Drop down hips suck, man. They give no meaningfull extra range and the way most are implemented, they go floppy in a heartbeat or move the other leg when it's not supposed to.
How's the quality? Im interested in some, but all my past experiences, IE the predator line, just.. fell apart and crumbled like a dry eraser on one of them. Easily broken. I hope these are better.

Have you received anything from CTC? I have this one on po there but noticed he sold 8 of them on eBay under the name joytoy world so I ordered one to see if it comes. He doesn't seem to answer questions on his FB page and had a bad feedback for a bent card/package. I'm still not sure the best place to get these but I did order the 6 that were available from Cotswold collectables and they don't charge upfront and have free shipping iirc but they said they won't be able to get any more of the joes and are sold out of everyone but firefly and flint and maybe beachhead.
