My E82 had the wrong oil drain bolt from when I bought it. It became cross threaded after doing my second oil change. I got a rental for two weeks while looking for a competent shop to rethread it. The rental car was 500 & while driving it got a windshield rock chip. So the windshield I had to pay 500 for, the rental 500, the oil pan repair 250... So was out over 1k because of one little bolt.
Aww, I see an EV in your future. Less moving parts, no oil, very little to break if it wasn't for the ridiculous amount of electronics they stuff in them...
