Technical sparring is fun af feels like youre both in bullet time so you can hyperconciously focus on strategy and tactics. Its hard to find a good partner to do it with tho

👍 The vast majority of sparring should be done close to this intensity. Seems like most guys don't realize your brain doesn't really heal very much and how vulnerable it is.

Nah I'm ok u guys can play spar like the thai kids out there to practice timing and space. But there is no threat watching this spar. If u cannot match the intensity your going to get knocked it. Pulling your kicks is respectful 🙏

Be careful letting that left hand relax on a southpaw there were several times where he couldve tagged you with that right parry his jab and come over the top with your own jab and a long lead uppercut can catch him when he throws his jab because you are taller than him

if doing light sparring should be pretending the low kicks are coming full force and you should reach down to grab them and pull it up... bad habit... but to each their own

100% I agree I made that note watching this back, normally I would go with heavier kicks and light to the head but I’m coming off a serious knee injury. Just working my way back to 100%

@@bhavjotcheemait's a good time to level up your boxing, I had 2 knee injuries after taking a multi-year break(due to weight gain, 185 lbs to 275 lbs). So I improved my hands and long knees until I developed the strength again in my legs and dropped down to 230. I did start doing those "knees over toes" and resistance training which also improved my confidence of not injuring my knees again.
      Recover well!

I appreciate that bro, glad to hear you’ve come back from those injuries
I’m currently at the point of building up the stabilizer muscles (been doing this for about 3 weeks) and just started implementing low impact plyometrics, I feel a real difference every 3 days or so in the overall strength and balance so I feel I’m almost there
