MXR Analog Chorus for sure!
I own an analog CH-1 and the Corona. Like you said, the CH-1 definitely has THAT sound. It's the sound of chorus from songs that I love and the way I hear chorus in my head when I think of chorus. Most of my time with the Corona is trying to get it to sound as close to the CH-1 as possible. I can get close. The thing with the CH-1 is it's very good at hiding the LFO. Except at really high levels of depth and mix, you can't really hear the LFO of the chorus. With the Corona regular chorus mode, I can almost always hear the LFO, unless I have it dialed really really subtle. I often swap the CH-1 and Corona on my board depending what I want to be doing, but if I had to pick one and move on, it would absolutely be the CH-1.
When I type in a pedal to search, if this channel is in the results, I go here first. Outstanding demos.

I picked up the boss super chorus used for $20 and it's got about 5 different tones I like. It does affect my input volume though. This will work for now but always open to hearing other chorus pedals.

I have the MXR and adore it. So full compared to some of the others and sounds great with some drive but beautiful clean.
Glad to see comments like this, as I just bought one a few mins ago. I’ve felt slightly bummed tho, bc that thing seems to get a ton of hate. Hoping I’ll dig it, once it arrives.
MXR Analog Chorus all the way for me!
Definitely the richest and warmest sounding of the bunch thanks to its all-analog bucket-brigade circuitry.
It's also the most versatile in terms of number of parameters as it has 5 knobs.

Very nice comparison, thank you. I have a MXR chorus (Zakk's, but it's the same). Sold it and got a Corona (TC) Didn't like it because I couldn't change the bass and treble on the fly. Sold that and went back to the MXR, which has been my go to for a long time now. Setting up a smaller pedal board and I am also considering the Boss, just for basic chorus, but it also has an eq so you can add or cut treble, which is nice. Love JP's chorus, but I'm scared after my corona experience -even though it has tone print.
Same thing happened to me, had the MXR Analog chorus, sold, purchased it again years later. The Corona never really appealed to me. You should try giving the Boss CE-2 Waza a go, pretty awesome chorus. We have a Boss CE-2W vs DC-2W Waza comparison on our channel, as well as a Boss DC-2W vs TC Electronic 3rd Dimension chorus comparison. Give those a listen. If you'd prefer something as a deco piece for the home, then you can check out the TC June-60 Chorus

Great demo. I liked the Small Stone the best but with its foot print I can't fit that on my pedal board. The MXR to me didn't sound as rock n roll (if that's a thing) as the small stone.
Rejoice, (you probably know already that) there is nano version of it which is very close to the large\original version.
I love those big pedal enclosures, even swapped ce-5 with a retraux small clone
The small stone is a phaser it's the small clone that's the chorus.

I've had a very difficult time settling on a chorus pedal as well.
I started with the Boss ch-1, and it seems to be my favourite.
I currently have the MXR and feel it doesn't sound as musical as the Boss CH-1. it's a bit too compressed (maybe).
Something about the boss ch-1's shimmer does it for me, so I think I'm going to get it back.

I like the Boss. I got mine for $35 used and it sounds great.
I got one used but it was $58. Also was modded "back in the day" by Wampler. When he did stuff under the name "Indyguitarist". I think it sounds great,but I got nothing to compare with.

Spirit of radio is flanger and chorus with some distortion
all chorus' sound very tinny to me, and I haven't heard one that fills with color instead of thin knockoff frequencies. dont get me wrong, i would love a chorus tone to come out fat, and I won't stop looking; MXR was the closest.
No worries, you are not alone on that matter...in fact those who always found chorus effects to be very thin should really try the MXR analog chorus first...it is probably one of the fattest sounding chorus pedals in the market that doesn't burn a hole in your wallet....
Try the Diamond Chorus. One of the sweetest musical chorus sounds out there. But it's a bigger pedal, so if size matters, it might not be for you. I'm also a huge fan of the CosmiChorus, but if you can't figure out how to use the Dreamscape, you'll never figure out the CosmiChorus, but it's very flexible and sounds awesome as well.

Well the worm does many things....if you think you can escape with some sorta similar yet not really chorus like tones on The Worm, then save your money...
Otherwise there are more options, you have the TC Afterglow....or the MXR micro chorus....

tipico809 I had the CH1 for years and it always seemed to thin and flat . About a month ago picked up the MXR and it just has a lot of depth to the sound and pops more than the CH1
