That's rubbish mate, It's a big ugly V6 which suits vans rather than sporty cars. It does not sound as great (compared to the GTR e.g) and it is simply no engine with any huge potential

Varies from car to car with tunes....i have a 2013 750i here in the US and the bootmod3 tune....some e-bay downpipes and charge pipes and a dual cold air kit....we run 93 octane fuel and also the thermostat has been changed.....no other mods at all and my power went up from 445 hp / 480 tq factory motor to 553 hp / 587 tq and its an animal.....damn near stock M5 power
Some very good points you all raise. To be honest tune only it's probably a difficult task . Throw on an intake ,some downpipes and a free flowing exhaust I'm sure it will bump of the output significantly. Still a beautiful car and I'd love it parked in my drive way.

When you think that the manual M140i RWD stage 2 with 440bhp that you did a review few months back is faster than this 2nd Gen B58 with the awesome ZF gearbox and supposingly 75bhp more says to me that something is wrong with this car

what is that interior trim ? it looks like that one blackwood material but it also looks like the m performance one , with the matte black but its neither of them. can someone tell me how he made his interior trim that way cause it looks amazing . thanks!
It's actually quite dangerous. I live in Sweden where 110 is pretty much the standard speed on highways. Every year I travel to south Europe and pass through Germany from north to south. When you drive so fast you kinda get used to it and start relaxing at speeds like 160-190km/h If you have a really good tuned car even faster speeds feel safe.
So funny in this comment section people arguing that the b58 is the best engine ever made.... Im working for BMW and can tell you that its a really good engine, but when it comes to the best engine ever or also the best inline 6 engine ever, you guys ever heard something of the 2jz gte ? Or 1jz gte? Ask any mechanic even at BMW will tell you those are so much infront of what the b58 is. And btw Yamaha havent made the 2jz, its from Toyota, they only work with them together for a better float design in the cylinder head. Even if you guys maybe are to young to know Toyota for more then prius and hybrid. The 2JZ GTE is the holy grail of Engines. Its a fact.

Gearbox issues
yeah cause the Transmission toggle down the Power a little bit and the gear changes can be much faster, but it's still faster than the 600hp RS6
Torque limiters and clamping pressure on gearbox probably the issue. Once the gearbox is eventually tuned, I'm sure it'll be faster.
