The test is good. Aperture values should be kept as large as possible, from F2.8 to about ~F6 or so. If there is a more tightly closed aperture example F8-11 then the image quality deteriorates.

Thanks a lot for your tests. Maybe I'm wrong - please correct me in the following, based on viewing tests on the Internet of various video cameras. It would be nice to see a video refuting my conclusions. For an inch sensor on the XF 400 and G 60, the DV 6 processor cannot handle the processing, and therefore, at the slightest movement in the frame or panoramas, the video blurs. Video on the XF 400 looks somewhat preferable at 60 fps over 25 fps. including in relation to video at g 60. Similar tests on the panasonic 1500 with a smaller matrix in terms of clarity in panoramas and dynamic scenes provide exceptionally clear video, but this camera is blind in low light conditions. The same test on the G 50 is also more preferable but worse than panasonic. In addition to the processor, there are also problems with the sensor - the basis for such a judgment are tests on the xf 605. DV 7 greatly improved the video quality and allowed 4.2.2 to have 10 bits. But again, with panoramas and dynamic scenes, the same problems - the transmission speed from the sensor is low. Also, LOG for 8-bit video does not allow you to have a high-quality final video - the color gradient spoils and color correction with problems.

Thank you for this info, Alexander. So, are you saying the XF605 has similar "blurring" issues as the XF400 when panning? If so, I have watched a few videos that explain a method of panning based on frame rate and distance to pan = speed of pan to give optimal footage with no blurring. While I strive to get great video, I have not yet gotten to the level of videography where I am implementing such a technique, although I hope to shortly. Right now I am mostly testing different cameras trying to find "the one" for my style of shooting. The XF400 is very close and has most of what I would want out of an A camera.
I have watched many videos on the XF605, and while I can admit it certainly looks very impressive, I just don't know if I actually need all that it has to offer in regards to what I would use it for. Now, I could make an argument that having an XF605 would allow me to broaden the scope of project selection/creation.

      @@BrianBuckalewhope you're doing well Bryan ..
And thanks a ton .. loving it .
just wondering about one issue About the buses.
To use all 4 busses simultaneously .. , for a live application for my band. .
Do I first need to pan any instrument left for bus 1 and right for bus 2 ..
and then switch on the mono button or the master buttons to engage bus 1 and bus 2 saparately ..
Just goin to try it out actually now.
It's a fun thing to play with ..

Yes - the way you get a track to go to just one bus over another is by utilizing the pan. Busses 1 & 3 receive the Left contribution and Busses 2 & 4 receive the Right contribution.

You are very welcome. I have used this console as a live mixer on several gigs and it definitely is very capable of handling everything a band can throw at it.
