Why Fans Turned on Hans Kim

- Over the past few months Kill Tony Fans have started hating Hans Kim more and more. This started when the regular on Kill Tony started bombing more often and then reached its peak during the win over Rick Diez at the Kill Tony NYE Show.

Shane and Matt thought Ric won: that's all we need to know.
They kept it real. Was so happy they did that.
They're both way funnier than like 99.9% of people in that orbit. Hans isn't funny.
Besides, Hans could always just start a podcast with Schob. They could call it “The Fighter and the Kim”.
@@mixedmartialanarchist6469They're both equally unbearable
The Dawgs have spoken.
Your framing of why we dislike Hans is way off. Its got nothing to do with the rivalry. Its 100% because he sucks and is protected.
He definitely sucks.
I think you are both a little correct. I think hans is bad as a comic and the rivalry has shown he's bad as person
@@lunix5438 it's more the fact that he sucks maybe 4 months ago i liked hans but gradually overtime his sets just got super lazy and bad then when ric came along as potential replacement i was fully on board without even having watched the new years episode and before it came out

Well he is Tonys friend so its not that weird
Also they both have spots on the show why fight so one has to leave makes no sense
I never thought ric was even close to funny enough to be a regular. Like Hans bombs but his interviews can be entertaining. I still think they could find a better opener than either of them. I prefer Casey cuz he has his own style ric just says like dad jokes
"This is like my career and my life"... yes Hans, that's how life works. If I showed up to work unprepared every week, I would expect to be replaced too.
I empathise with him a bit. The guy is human, it would be pretty rattling to have someone call you out publicly like that and then have to defend your job.
Maybe dont do so much coke….
He never stopedthey just stopped pointing it out
Also he never liked his „hot girlfriend“
It was just pussy to him and he clearly shows that…..
He gott a lot of money and fame i guess that could turn anyone einto a dickhead
Yeah. And flaunted my abuse towards my girlfriends because I’m a piece of sh**, I think I’d deserve to lose my job.
Yeah, but the whole idea of kill Tony is that you prove that you are worth being on it. So therefore, if you are doing bad and there's somebody doing better than you, they deserve your job and you don't just because you were a funny comic at one point doesn't mean you still are @@dorsia6938

I really thought that the Ric/Hans rivalry was something they agreed on to create some hype. Now, it seems like Hans is really, actually, upset.
He's probably reading a lot of comments online. One thing about a lot of comedians is that they're very insecure. And Hans at one point didn't have shit, so on one hand I can understand being scared of maybe losing the one thing that brought you up, and seeing comments that support that fear doesn't help...On the other hand, dude does need to be humble about it, if the majority of people think u aint funny, its probably the more accurate opinion
Hans treated him like a friend, invited him to his house, played CATAN with him....
Then he tried to take his job while not being able to fill it. I dont care for Hans comedy, its mediocre, but dont pretend to get friendly then try to take my job
Btw i don't know wtf catan is, but apparently it holds value to Hans. Hans value is what tony makes out of the interview, same with sweet dick willy

Every single person I talked to or even overheard was saying Fuck Hans Kim, or Rick Won. People were driving around the parking lot yelling "Fuck Hans Kim" and everyone was cheering as they drove by.

People keep saying it was good for the careers of both. But utimately it helped rick and damaged hans. Hans didnt want to battle. And rick only wanted to battle because he felt he could bully Hans. Rick is obviously a much sharper mind.

Please don't try to distance yourself from the "joe rogan crowd", all of you people are of the same ilk, y'all are not fans of comedy, y'all are fans of bigotry.
I think the main reason for the hate towards Hans is that it seems like he stopped trying... I understand he has to write a new minute every week and thats no easy feat but the dude is on the KT payroll and its not like he is on the road 24/7. He should be able to come up with at least a decent set every week, he aint working a 9-5 like everyone else. Look at William, I know he has been doing it much longer but that dude is super consistent. Not every joke lands but imo he has at least 1 really good joke every week. If theres a boring guest I will sometimes skip to the end of the episode just to watch William cuz I know theres a good chance its gunna be good. I dont see Hans that way at all.
agreed
Idk how u guys can stand William Montgomery everything from his voice demeanor and face is completely off putting and unbearable. How is he funny? Because he screams or yells loud? What makes him funnier than Hans?
I agreed I thought Hans was really good early. I think that is because he probably burning minutes while he hadn't generating more jokes. Now like you said it seems like he almost doesn't give a fuck because he knows his "honorary position" on KT is suppose to highlight a next an upcoming comic until they lose to another comic. That isn't what has happen with Hans, he has straight up lost to guest from everyone opinion but he is still on the show.

He couldn’t headline his own show to save his life…
comedy wise yea. financially his dads like a wealthy dude
So all this time what I have been learning about comedy is you have to have a thick skin to survive in the business. Hans Kim is one example of how that is not the case at all. The way he's handling the whole Rick Diez situation speaks to how fragile his ego is. Rick has been nothing but humble about it off stage. Hans is still reeling from the whole thing and has taken it personally instead taking it on the chin. It also speaks volumes to me that he wasn't at all willing to give Rick his due credit. Rick was right about wanting to leave an impact and he sure has.
So damn true. It’s not his performances that made me lose respect, it was the weak and entitled brat he exposed himself for - on stage and during interviews off stage.
100 percent. Hans played himself.
Maybe it's cuz Tony's always like
"Ladies & Gentlemen, give it up for the funniest comedian in the history of Comedy!!... You are are about to witness comedy as you've never seen it before!!

No imagine it's all put out public so now anyone who hites you will immediately think your second rate and will directly affect your pay. @@kingbeelzebub If this is the only way he can make money, he better get some other skills...
@nottomclancy2439 i not really he has over a million fans and is still growing. It's very common for comedians to go decades doing stand-up and still never making it. He's genuinely talented and is getting hate because someone else compared their success to his own for no reason other than to build their own terrible career and ric literally acts mentally handicap no reason. Nothing's wrong with him, but once he's on stage, he acts special needs, and a part of me feels like he does it on purpose to get sympathy views. Also, it feels like none of the KT comedians really like him. Like he's permanently put a strain and competitive edge on something that was given as an opportunity to people who are funny. Good breakdown. At the end of the day Tony’s behavior created this situation for both these gentlemen. If Tony never started to make Hans challenge to keep his spot, Rick wouldn’t have saw that as an opportunity to open the show for good. Tony could have created a better scenario for who wins and who loses for a better outcome in case Hans did lose. This was a great opportunity not executed well. Also David Lucas couldn’t tell Hans the truth about the situation because of his friendship but thats not what friends are supposed to do.

The problem here is regularship. David Lucas made the right play by keeping a golden ticket but no longer being a regular. William Montgomery could probably do the same and be really successful. Hans could probably do that and have a career like Burnt Chrysler where he has a loyal fan base that inexplicably love his stuff. And then we could all go on to find bigger and better talents. Tony should be encouraging regulars to leave the nest, rather than keeping them under his wing forever.

Kam needs to take note because this is close to his future.
To add to Hans perspective… it’s tough to create good material every week, as we are told week after week.
The time should come to an end when he seems to struggle over and over again.
It’s a tough situation for Hans, like hanging by your arms… the benefit of doing well is you keep the spot. But the longer he does it, the longer it feels. He has no upside for staying longer. Unless Tony starts a rotation for opening for him or something, I don’t see this working out for much longer.
The theme song, all the friends he made, it’s tough for the show too. Hans is both good and bad for the show at this point. David felt like that to me as well. It’s good until it’s not that good. I’ve watched hundreds of episodes and something new should be happening…. Either start musical chairs with the band or add another staple to the show… perhaps a way to build up interest for the bucket pulls or something…since the episodes are a few weeks behind “airing”. Maybe pick bucket pulls for the next week and announce them so that they also have a week to better prepare their 60 seconds.
You could pull 15 names and as long as 10 of them show up and check in the next week, they will go on.
Hans is pissed because KT is his life, Rick has another lucrative career. Hans was fighting for his livelihood while Rick was fighting for a side hobby.
Rick is really smart and forward thinking with this play of making a rivalry, it's good for everyone - Rick, Hanz, Kill Tony etc. Good to create hype and a story line. But Hanz can't see that bigger picture and took it really personally, which built real awkward tension, deflating what Rick is playfully trying to do.
tbf at this point i think they did that on purpose to stir shit and hans was told to act like that to make bigger waves, but it failed kinda. people are commenting and engaging with the content but hans is literally being torn apart in mid air for it. dont know if thats worth it. but thats my perception of it since tony states he wanted to make it full WWE so they had hans kim go full heel just like the rock in wrestling

Exactly what I thought.
“You’re American, you have a backbone and a spine.” How ironic
Hans is their guy. His whole life revolves around being on KT. To let him lose would be a death sentence for Hans. They know it, he knows it.
And we all knew the audience would favor Hans no matter what he did on stage.
Ric was putting over Hans, just like a veteran wrestler retiring from professional wrestling.
If Hans actually worked harder on his jokes, instead of mending his fragile ego, he could have had a legendary set to legitimatize his career.
Tony's crew shelter Hans for too long.
WE DONT HATE MR. KIM❤

But when business starts to get high, one wrong move in the company/organization could make a serious impact for income/future endeavors. Kill Tony isn’t just a comedy show, they’re trying to build careers for future comedians, and I guess they saw Ric as removing Hans off of his platform and potentially sending is career into obscurity vs. someone they can just build up at a later date. It’s not just Kill Tony, I see it in the UFC and similar organizations as well. What’s unfortunate is that it essentially disses anyone who was paying to see a fair competition, they were the ones that were really frauded. If you’re going to make something competitive, you have to be okay with both outcomes, and I guess Kill Tony wasn’t ready for Ric to beat Hans. I don’t know, I’m drunk so if this is nonsense to read, than don’t judge lol. I don’t even really watch Kill Tony because I think it’s a hacky haphazard way of trying to make new comedians that is in no way similar to how these comedians who made the show got big in the first place, it’s just a roast imo.
Edit: one other thing about being a new comedian, which I know that Hans isn’t, but old comics only had the room they were in to judge their set, not ALL of social media. I can see how detrimental that could be to someone trying to start out, especially when you have to consider just how much you have to get used to having thick skin. Hell, it’s why 90% of us wouldn’t dare to go on stage in the first place. Social media only makes this exponentially more difficult unless you have “golden sets”.
Even if you don't like someone, most people don't have the heart to be publicly responsible for someone losing their job
Agreed. I'd be pretty angry too.
yeah why is nobody acknowledging this lmao
@@iancooper1466because the creator of this video and 99% of the commenters are brain dead. It’s mine boggling
Mind *
Wouldn't have to worry about loosing his job if he didn't suck ass at it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He became a regular for a reason. The problem is its literally impossible to be in a regular spot like that and deliver EVERY SINGLE WEEK. William Montgommery is not human.
And the reason was tony wanted protection from the asian community after ping pong tried to cancel him, no other reason.
@@user-re9mz2bt1eI don’t think enough people realize how much this plays. Dudes untouchable
@@bustedcherokee yeah and in that case, hans should have chilled and present himself from a good side. but he seemingly doesnt realise all these nuances of the showbiz. sadly it looks like he doesnt even understand that hes a convenient token asian so he grew an ego and thinks hes the real deal, talking about how rics shtick is outdated. if he honestly thinks peepee and vagina jokes are some cutting edge technology, then i just pity that fool lol
Haha, I just wrote ''fuck hans kim'' and ended up here 😂😂
Lmao
That interview with David Lucas came off like Caramo gas lighting in support for the Pink Sauce Lady.
I've never even smiled at a Hans joke
I love his material his jokes are awesome. The one about the man reading a book in Arabic. He was relieved to see him fold the corner and close the book. It means he has future plans. Because he was nervous dude was a terrorist that was gonna blow up the plane.
It's fascinating now with comedy - comedy podcasts and stand up are everywhere. I think its amazing the notion of laughs per minute as a metric. Kill Tony has only about a minute to catch your attention or else you get dunked on. Katt Williams talked about studying laughs per minute as he came up. And Katt does have dense laughs per minute with the Pimp Chronicles. This Rick calculating laughs per minute. I bet Hans does not but makes sure to write every day.
I too think Hans is getting worse. That being said, I don't think we've even seen a total of 10 minutes from Ric. There are countless minutes from Hans. He is way past his regular standup material (which is actually pretty good).
Great new stand-up channel to subscribe to!
Welcome!!
Han is a sweet guy turn to someone that I feel like I can’t relate to anymore. Kam is enjoying life too much at this point he need to be humble again.
Imagine seeing someone "enjoying life too much" and telling them they need humbled. Your life either sucks and you hate it or you're just a straight up hater. Fkn crazy.
The fact that there exists white women that touches either of them really shows how far WW have fallen 🙄
@@maybachfadedthe enjoying life part was a bit weird. But I think their intention was saying that once these guys get too comfortable, and they don’t have to struggle anymore and they don’t spend their proper time in clubs and grind it out for years and years then get propped up by tony who instantly brings them to open up for his big shows. And then they get propped up from rogan, and flying in private jets...yeah you lose touch. And kill tony has a habit of pushing it regulars up into the stratosphere before they’ve put on their space suits.
@@Barbarossa_FYou sound like an absolute loser for putting white women on a pedestal 😂
@@sorryimsosad thank for understanding
When it comes down to it, Kill Tony is to comedy what American Idol is to music. Very few have the talent to actually become stars in their own right, but a few are very talented and might.
Okay? Thats the same everywhere. Only a small percentage of musicians, actors, athletes, comics, etc make it. Thats common knowledge.
I think this was a very good read on how it went.
I do like that you can follow the behind the scenes of the KT universe
I've been hating on Hans since the first time his name was pulled and some reason everyone loved him.
I like William Montgomery personally
I think hans feels that he cant be replaced and doesnt like the fact that it could be taken away at any time, work hard hans it will make you a better comic
Honestly tho, when it comes to these competitions where the stakes involve a recurring traditional figures replacement, the crowd will always choose who’s traditionally been there. Regardless of who’s better. For example, when they had a competition between the Swedish drummer and Michael Gonzales for who would be the kill Tony drummer, literally anyone who knew about music stated that the challenger won clearly. But since Michael has always been there, he won. It’s a custom
For the last year any and all of Han's jokes have to do with
-Sex
-Race
-Nationality
They're so lazy
That’s 99% of standup
@@shotgunsam23 maybe if you listen to garbage lmao
My favorite part is when Hans is saying that Rick is a two-dimensional character 😂😂😂😂😂😂 like okay sure buddy
Tbf while it's true Hans has become quite lazy with his stand-up, I do think it's kinda shitty that Kim helped out Ric so much and Ric was outing Kim's regular spot like that. If you're doing it to make him a better comic, then tell him to his face. Don't call him out in public after crashing on his couch.
I was thinking they played crowd cheer over the speakers so it sounded louder.
It’s annoying how Tony says Hans is rich and selling out shows everywhere but when his regular ship is challenged he hates it and acts like his career will be over. He should feel comfortable enough to leave and thrive like David did
William is the best and a true comedian
Hans is mad at Ric for doing what Tony has done to him over and over. Why isn’t Hand pissed at Tony for making him compete?
Cause Tony gave Hans the job and his career u dim wit. How do u breathe properly without malfunctioning?
I don't think anyone is mad with Kim we're just wanting the show to move forward. It feels kind of stale when the only regulars that are switched up are the ones in the middle. William is a staple and everytime I think I've had enough of him, he does something different and gets me back on board.
I don't think Kim is doing anything wrong per say, people just want a change.
Watching the nye show i thought ric won and the fact that ric is not a resident and hans is made it easy for tony to let hans win. Ppl at the show did show hans a lot of love cheering for him. This got me into the show i like the rivalry.
Lol Kill Tony is cringe af. It’s the clown factory
Then why watch a video about it. Weird...
@@yorithadon4513 You assumed I watched this video?? I’m tryna get you people to wake up and tune out. I don’t have anything against this creator so I don’t mind commenting for his channel
Try harder @@aar0n709
Everyone and their mom has a podcast
The podcast gold rush will dry up soon
What brand vape and vapes he puffin on he loves that
If you're a celebrity, never look up what people think about you online.
Dunning Kruger effect …… when Tony gave Hans a special place as a regular due to cancel culture coming after him , it gave Hans the assumption he was one of the greats . Notice Hans bombs more on his minutes than any other regular before him . Statistically, Hans has been the worse regular and should be put to the test until he becomes an actual comedian .
Totally 💯
