Hi there, I would love to do this kind of stuff once my life. When I go enduro alone, I always met crazy riders that are just doing basically trial up hill 100% of their time and I am there just riding easy tracks. It make me believe that everything is beyond my level. Glad to know that some easy race exist. I am in France, so I would love to have a local « easy » rally like this. Even for a single day.
Been pondering whether to try my first rally event on my new to me 701. I think this is the sign I needed to put down the payment for entry! Thanks for your amazing content - more 701 stuff, please :D
ahhh 1:47... so with my first off road bike (701) I'm in my first riding event in Malaysia. It's a 140km fast trail rally style event with 250 riders, not a true race and no roadbook, just signage on the trail. a perfect community event to bring in new riders like myself. the trail was suppperrr wet jungle clay/mud. I really had to sit, watch, video and laugh to myself at the ADV pig bikes totally stuck with damn near road tyres on! Don't worry, they had plenty of support around, even being eventually towed off the trail as late as 2am... well... it really made me feel happy with my choice of the 701!
I just bought a 23' 701 for a ride, Canada to Mexico on dirt roads along the pacific range. The Cascades of Washington state and Oregon and the Sierra Nevada mountains through Ca. i have a 500exc-f and a 790 S but those two did not seem a good choice for this ride. 2 weeks in August with hotels and chase van.
@@habibi750 The ride starts August 3rd 2024. I'm definitely going to put the 48 tooth rear sprocket on. Only 8 mph slower but that should be enough for technical sections.
Amazing! Should had my first 701 offroad trip this year in France but my rear innertube left me down on the highway in a weird way, it was melted by heat.... But it are great bikes, love mine so much! Great rally! What tires are you running on them?
Auch, I’m sorry your trip got cut short. I had some maxxis nobbies, but now I will be trying a new Michelin combo of enduro medium and tracker … It’s a constant change :)
Desperately searching for rally events in Sweden - I mean, our local TET is 2841 kilometers long - there must be something here, right? Norway? Finland? Promise not to bring any surströmming...
I would never do a race where I had to deal with QuadTards. They are bad enough on regular rides. Blocking the entire road, no awareness that someone faster is behind them, and then shocked when you actually pass them.
Mersi! Este o comunitate de rally in Romania, nu stiu daca in special pentru 701... Dar comunitatea de la evenimente de rally e foarte faina, o recomand did tot sufletul!
Please do a real rallye with real offroading ! I have a 701 and will bring it for a two-week rallye in Morocco, and I am dying to know how to set it properly for fast and tough terrain. It seems everybody builds a rally tower and goes on flat trails like you did. No suspension needed !
From one hand you and all of us make fun of people who take heavy adv bikes to hard terrain, on the other hand many countries don't have any other off road options that are road legal, Europe doesn't even have fucking dual sports... What do you expect people to do...i have never seen such a huge gap in any market generally in history
I mean to expect everyone to ride a crf300l which is the only new option and without even proper suspension is surely unrealistic, many don't want to buy ktms, they are non reliable and expensive
To be fair, it wasn't technical... We'll see how it handles rougher stuff in a few weeks :) But regarding its size, I don't think it's that big actually... If you think about it, not long ago the Dakar was running 690s ... and they're not light either. It's obviously not as light as an EXC, but it's not bad at all

All jokes aside looking forward to the next video 😊

Hi,I have exactly the same bike with exactly the same rally tower.
Where did you find the side stickers?custom made or you did them yourself?
I bought it like this... it was a graphics kit, but I can't say where it was from
good content !!

How did the 701 do on your ride?

@@Erik-rp1hi Cool. Hope you have an epic ride!
Hi, thx for sharing your experience with us! Which rally tower is this? All the best, Christoph
It’s an MST one
Great content, What type of rally tower and road book are you using? I would love to see a video on that.
Thank you! I’ve got an MST tower with an F2R roadbook

Felicitari pt participare si video. Avem in RO o comunitate de 701 care merge la rally raid sau la ture de genul? :D

I did! Check my other video, I took part in the Dinaric Rally with it… And that’s one rough rally.

That's a biiiiiig bike for a Rally. It didn't look extremely technical so that probably was fine a rally like that though.

@@KRANKiT Very true. I'm used to some tight stuff between trees and 90% of people run 300cc 4 or 2 strokes. Mostly KTM 300 2 stroke.
