I really wished they would've planned to support skaven along with vampire counts, lizardmen and dark elves, the same way that other factions are getting published rules and arcane journals and all the models coming back. I'm glad they gave us pdf rules though! I've had some fun with my vampire counts! Maybe it's something GW will consider doing when they've released everything else. If the rolling out of stock/back order status on much of the old world stock is anything to go by, it would certainly seem like a good idea to support even more factions... This game was really fun to watch, and I definitely think skaven have decent rules. This seemed like a sensible army list for skaven too, although I think the bretonnians could've/should've been built (as an army list) and played a little better.
@@MountainMiniatures it’s just too good to pass up. Those clan rats just look to good when lined up. And with some of the stuff going cheep second hand right now it to easy to get an Old World army on a budget.
Doesnt the doomwheel fire the lightning small templates off *every* shooting phase, whether you want to or not? It says it goes every shooting phase. Seems like you guys never do it or I never notice. Can be bad or good depending on situation but classic skaven
@@MountainMiniatures A charging unit's position when the charge is declared determines whether it charges into the front, flank or rear of the enemy unit. :)
That first turn Bretonian movement is super fishy. I dont think it was intentional or in bad spirit, but if someone moved their units like this in a trournament I'd probably call the judge XD
@@MountainMiniatures Well, some minis were moved several times, even after their activation and there is no way to recapture how they exactly moved. Ideal procedure would be: premeasure (if necessary), lay down the tape measure so you and your opponent can see the distance, move them with the tape on the table and put them into the final position. If you need to measure further, at least place a dice on the initial position so your opponent still knows what you are doing. And once you move another unit, you shouldn't readjust already moved units, or at least ask your opponent in a casual game. I'm sure it was fine for both of you guys, and if I play with friends I don't mind either, but unfortunately I met quite a lot of people on tournaments trying to gain an advantage by using movement shenanigans.
RAW the Doomwheel is forced to "shoot" in each shooting phase (so 2x per turn) as an ability and not an optional weapon. Just Skaven doing Skaven things.
@@FlayedSkull lame comment. Don’t be a hobby elitist. People can prepare and finish their minis any way they want. But good news, that means you can prepare and paint yours anyway you want, and no one has the right to tell you how to do it.
Great work, as an Aussies, I never can watch these live, it was nice at the start when you include the post game in the replay vids
Great job guys. Always better. I'm happy to know this channel
Those base converters are amazing😍.
Also lovely paintjob and man am I enjoying these mew models for the skaven
Guts awesome battle report, and man those bases for aos and old world you’ve shown of look amazing!
Thank you for sharing

I'm planning on using the warp blaster as a skaven hellblaster in friendly games😊
Is it bad that I bought the new Skaven for the Old world and not for AOS? About to drop some 💵 on those base converters!
that what i did!

You made the right choice.
Yeah its a good start for an old world skaven army. I did the same. Just wish it came with some more jezzails or ratling guns
Everyone at my local is desperately trying to shift stormcast and buy skaven.
still not Enough DOOOOMwheeeeLZ!!!
Feel better Steve! Don't let grandfather Nurgle have his way with you!!!
I need that dice thing!!!
I just wish there was a way to annotate you bought AOS models for TOW so GW can see how much people love TOW
2 favourite armies hell yeah!
Not for GW XD
The Bretonnia spent too many points on leaders
Good ole Laura the horned rat giving you warp lightning
Got my hopes up thinking Stormfiends were in Old World :(
I was windering how far would you guys ship
Your products?
Steve with hair woah
Skavens cant shoot into combat in TOW? They respected life of other rats back in the day?
It is hard to imagine and feels somehow unskaven.
Yeah they dont have that rule in old world. Theyre in a bit of a rough spot atm

@@MrMoustaffa you don’t have to place any templates if you don’t want to. So no is doesn’t have to “shoot” every turn
Thanks, missed that when reading the rules
45:00 you cant flank pegasus you are in front arc 😳 also closest rat ogre should die
false.

i just watched his entire movement phase, there was nothing fishy happing at all. what is it you had issue with?

The ability says that you can place up to three templates, so I think you can just choose to place zero if you don’t want to “shoot” it.
Why don't you clean your mold lines?
Models would look so much better ...

It was not a snarky comment, but a legit question:
Why not clean the mold lines when it makes for a better looking model.
@@FlayedSkull generally it is down to speed and that is fine.
