Love common goblins. I've been playing since 4th and they've never gotten the respect they deserved. I know their inclusion in the Battalion was contentious amongst the WAAC crowd but I was happy to see them back.
Oddly enough, I think the two key moments were (spoilers) The goblin shaman running away of course, and the warboss on chariot rolling double 1s for his FBiGO. If he'd fled enough for the chariot to get impacts, then he surely dies and Luka closes in on the hill at least a turn earlier
Did you guys decide on the ruling at 57:30 about removing models from combat? The closest answer I saw was the rule about removing models evenly on the sides of the rank, but I am not even sure if that rule even applies to skirmishers.
Spoiler: At 01:03:18 that is no FBIGO but a Give Ground on that 7 with LD 9. And Steve you even forgot 1 wound. That sorcerer did not have to check for panic... :(
I will not stand for this state troop slander. With items like the kaurels of victory and gryphon standard you can stack insane amounts of combat res. Add in a melee detachment to counter charge in the flank disrupting the enemy and you have a block that is near impossible to break. Soften them up with guns then grind them down.
dude so many other armies can do exactly that for fewer points, and the units would also get special rules like warband... state troops are the big fail infantry unit in the game. In a game where infantry already struggles
State troops do get special rules though - detatchment _and_ regimental on the same unit - (something that used to be unique to empire but chorf infernal guard now arguably do better). Using the detatchment rules to chain stubborn/frenzy/hatred and threaten (and very sometimes get) an out-of-order flank charge and maybe some combat res from supporting fire when receiving a charge is kindof their whole deal? It's not an especially good deal, but without it they're hopeless.

Great Goblin list😎...lets see if they can stand against Chaos!

We need a video where Luka does the dance from Allan Wake 2!

Loving orcs and goblins videos!
That's my kind of Chaos list!
The Heralds of Darkness restrictions are so dumb, it's the main blot on an otherwise great book.
Waaaagh! (I can't stop to post this warcry!) XD

The detachments are essential for state troops. Without them they just don't hold up.

@@Orcimedes detachment rules might as well not exist in the game, its has no playability.
The degree to which infantry is bad is severely overstated by the community.
