@@RetroGamesRediscovered yea do you rem when they took a pic with that helicopter on the top of maxwells place well i dont think they had perms for that they just knew when he was in and waited all day and helped themselves that is rock star behaviour, the sound is what i used to like and graphics amazing sound makes a good game, you can wind it up, u used to have a single bud who had an st and he also had xenon 2 and it was ok not bad but the sound on the st is a little thin but on my amiga the sound was insane also the st could not cope with the mix of title screen and game music like xen 2 on the amiga and what a cool name for a game brutal deluxe that was stunning - nowadays everyone would have a little cry baby over that and throw their toys out their pram

@@raymoreton3184 Ha ha, yes I think you're right, they were awesome developers. I remember meeting them at an Amiga show in London once and got a signed copy of Magic Pockets, still have it to this very day.

@@RetroGamesRediscovered when i was growing up when i was in junior school for christmas the first computer i had access to at home was speccy 48k it was a joint between me and my bro and in one of the years the two martin sons dropped right into our classes me with the older and my bro with younger we became best buds with them, their dad was a co founder of the games dev martech we had loads of sleepovers and other stuff one summer break we got paid a tiny amount maybe 20p or 50p for half hour perhaps he had us testing games it was me and the elder bro and my bro and the younger, this may have been because the home office wasnt huge or it might a way to keep them apart but i was paid some sweet money fro testing/playing games

    oh my .. cadaver, Chaos engine 2!! I'm really .. OLD !!
I'm not sure this kind of games are for youngsters (you need to search sometimes .. it's hard, hum my lovely generation Z..).
Funny to see one last time those games... What an evolution ....

Old farts might like it even if the choice of games is debatable (First Chaos Engine, Speedball 2 missing)

While this is the "leftovers" cart for the Bitmap Bros (the best games were on Collection 1), the versions are at least the original Amiga versions this time around rather than the terrible console ports (special mention to the dreadful Master System port of Speedball). Chaos Engine 2 is easily the worst game BB did, absolutely dreadful. Z being the PSX version though is understandable given that it's unlikely that the Evercade has the horsepower to run DOSBox and it lends itself more to the Evercade's controller.

Thanks for your comment! I actually think this collection stands strong on its own with some great games included - I don’t see it as the 'leftovers' cart at all! It’s definitely a bonus to have the original Amiga versions instead of the console ports, though, and I totally understand the choice of Z on the PSX given the Evercade’s limitations. Always good to hear different takes on the collection - appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

I found your review bit over the top & not completely honest. Chaos Engine2 for instance was originally a ‘two player’ game & the split screen is annoying. This cart is not one of the best by any means. Sounds like your review is for some reason very obviously bias. It’s a very average cart @best

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It's only bias because I enjoy those games! I'm not sure how else I could be biased!
