When I heard his rendition of this song……….it just my feeling. Piet captured the dynamic flow of this song for me. He is effortless in his notes. I felt this song without knowing the language. Piet needs to sing more of these types of songs. I see him doing movie theme songs. I could see him doing James Bond Avatar, blockbuster movies ..big ballads like Celine Dione. His time is coming. He’s going to be famous. With the right producers and writers he’s going to be the one to watch. Oh and I love love love ❤❤❤❤the honor you give to this young man.

Love and appreciate the honest and unbiased reaction to this song... I love both of these singers but to compare them would be like comparing apples and oranges. Dimash is a showman with incredible talents and elaborate stage productions while Piet, even though he has not had the advantages that Dimash has had, Piet has evolved into an artist who personally has star quality with an excellent stage presence. I love that he comes across with deep sensitivity in interpretation. Like dimash, Piet incorporates stunning surprises with his technique, stamina and incredibly gifted range that seems to naturally come so seamlessly and easily resulting in a remarkable performances as well - especially with his extraordinary whistle notes. Both singers so unique and gifted in their own ways. After seeing Piet's video of his version of Morissett's Akin Da Na Lang - would love to see Piet in a duet with Morissette... Now that would be magic.

Thank you for your reaction, Frank ! I discovered Piet Arion yesterday and fell out of my chair. For the second time. The first time was when I heard Dimash singing. Some comments are so rude...! Why ? There are space enough, love enough and ears enough for these two singers and for those who will follow singing that way. It's a pritty new and wonderful way ! We're sooo lucky to witness this ! I think Dimash opened a door and it's marvelous. Thank you so much, Dimash, we're soooo grateful ! Just let's enjoy hearing each other and feeling this happiness each other brings us and will bring us again and again. Whoever is the singer. They are different, our feelings and emotions are different hearing one or another. But what we feel listening to them is superb and only that matters ! I deeply hope that Dimash AND Piet (AND so on) will break into the music business, worldwide. They deserve it.
People come out with rude comments because I feel they are jealous that Piet can actually sing that high and perfectly. Yes, there will always be a comparison with Dimash, but they are both different singers in their own right, I also feel that some just can't believe there are certain men that can hit these hight notes. Gabriel Henrique is another one, he's Portugese, but his high notes are amazing, again his way of singing is different, but such a powerful voice.
Some of the comments on this video are so rude. no he’s not dimash. He isn’t trying to be dimash either. In the original video on piets channel he comments that he is in not trying to copy dimash or be better than him. Piet himself is a big dimash fan. Even if some of the notes are tweaked with or auto tuned he still has an incredible voice.

He’s my Facebook friend from Austria named Piet Arion who works at a low paying job but his passion is music and every extra $ he makes a studio recording. I’m 74 and on Social Security but I try to send him $30-40 a month so he can continue to record. He’s about Dimash age and started making the studio videos at his own expense about 10 years ago. He’s a songwriter, too ( YT “for AF” a hauntingly beautiful untitled song he wrote and sang after his lover parted and broke his heart). But most of his Videos are tribute vids to singers he loves, ie Whitney Houston ( youtube “ one moment in time”) Mariah Carey ( YT “ Mariah Hero Medley” For years he was lucky if he got 500 Likes. But about 4 weeks ago , he informed me that he decided to do a tribute video to Morissette who he loves. He decided to sing “ akin Ka Na Lang” but before he recorded it he had a Filipino friend who sat down with him and made sure his pronunciation and diction and meaning of the song were perfect ( His native language is German and 2nd English). It took him a few weeks to master the language. Then about a week and a half ago he recorded it-expecting maybe a few likes and comments. But when I heard it and saw the response , I fell out of my chair!! To date , in less than 2 weeks it has received over 20,000 LIKES and over 4,000 COMMENTS and 95 % of the comments are “ WOW! OMG! PERFECT PRONUNCIATION ! BEST FOREIGN RENDITION!! He sang it as close to Morissette’s as possible but retaining his own unique 6-octave vocal range rendition. This is his breakout song and the video is so incredible that a few of the 4,000 comments thought he was lip syncing and thought the 2 beautiful whistle notes were fake. They absolutely are not. He did version 2 to prove it. That’s his voice and whistle notes. Check out his “ Oh Holy Night” or Mariah Carey Hero Medley” and you will see that he is well known for his remarkable 6-octave vocal range including whistle notes. I know this is long but if you ( or anyone reading this who is a Morissette fan) please watch Piet Arion version and leave a comment. You will at the conclusion probably utter OMG or WOW.

Actually I don't care if he's using autotune or not. I just really enjoy his version of the song. I don't know him too well, but he said himself, music is just a hobby for him. Maybe he doesn't sing live because he just wouldn't like it and sings better in a calm surrounding without being nervous.

I don't understand why people hate on him. People can never accept that there is someone out there that can do something that most people can't. Dimash is very respectful to other people and I think he would be very ashamed if he knew that we as his fans are disrespectful of others. I love this talent... his adaptation is very special, personnal... artists are not meant to be compared... so-called Dimash fans who are making comparisons are insulting Dimash himself, as he is very humble and would never support this kind of behavior.

If Piet is good, then he should be proud to be compared to Dimash because whether you like it or not, Dimash is one of the greatest (if he is not the greatest already) singer/vocalist on this planet. Amazingly incredible, I love this arrangement more than Dimash, coz it emphasizes delicately and intensively the climax, and this man has the most unique voice, three magical things this man has that Dimash doesn't have, 1st-- the incredible very low notes, 2nd-- the mid to high range whistle tone that's fuller and solid that sounded spreading magically to the atmosphere and the 3rd-- the highest range piercing whistle tone that somewhat able to break the heaven's door. This guy is not human, he's extra ordinary person, he's an angel. He's whistle is legit just for the record. When I listened to this song, I felt like my soul was flying and brought to heaven crying and broke down with tears, very emotional. Oh my God! What happened to me!!!.... Though Dimash is a winner in terms of range in chest and headvoice. Both have unique and powerful talent, though.

Im not a Dimash fan he’s very operatic but I do love his voice, respect his talent and body of work and I think he sings beautifully however that does not take away from another singer (Piet) who equally has a beautiful voice too. Dimash actually learned from others artists, nobody is 100% genuin, is stupid to say, Arion is copying Dimash. Arion did this cover and set the standart higher than Dimash, sorry. Actually Dimash voice is extremely impressive, but in his high it does not sound pleasant as Arion's voice 💙
You mean the ton of reverb and studio effects on his voice in his higher notes? 😂 No offense, he's good, but you hear sooooo many and strong effects. Of course dimash has reverb, delay and so on on his mic but it's not that strong and doesn't change when he's entering that higher register. Plus this guy is super weak in his really high notes, that's probably why you think it's more pleasant

dimash's high notes are actually very full, it was just too clean because hes overkilling it with operatic approach and cleaned out a lot of the distortion, that is HARRRD but aesthetically this song's original emotion impression is plain and desperate, Dimash actually may need to add some harmonic distortion to resonate in his mid falsetto range so it can make common people feel emotionally warmer and not so shrill to the face all of a dramatic sudden. However his approach wasnt mostly pop, it was more operatic for sure so u cant blame it

Dimash's performances have excellence, soul, feeling and a magical, authentic atmosphere to them regardless of the notes he hits, and reducing his abilities to high or low notes is simply missing the entire point. I just can't stop listening to these songs (and others), the first two make me cry, the third makes me ecstatic, and his ability to deeply move me is the only thing that counts.

There is no chance he could perform that live. With enough editing and trixing eveyone can sing a song and make it sound great tbh. Even totally tone deaf people could put something great together using auto tune and other editing. That's why he decided to do studio recordings, because the sound quality is just that much better. And, just like most CD versions, autotune is a thing nowadays. The only thing he took from Vitas is the Mic technique and by the way even that wasn't Vitas original idea , it was used by singers in Ukraine & Latvia & Belarus in the past but they were using it just for effect like Dimash does to get the crowd cheering . Thank you for your reaction, Frank ! I discovered Piet Arion yesterday and fell out of my chair. For the second time. The first time was when I heard Dimash singing. Some comments are so rude...! Why ?
There are space enough, love enough and ears enough for these two singers and for those who will follow singing that way. It's a pritty new and wonderful way ! We're sooo lucky to witness this ! I think Dimash opened a door and it's marvelous. Thank you so much, Dimash, we're soooo grateful !
Just let's enjoy hearing each other and feeling this happiness each other brings us and will bring us again and again. Whoever is the singer. They are different, our feelings and emotions are different hearing one or another. But what we feel listening to them is superb and only that matters ! I deeply hope that Dimash AND Piet (AND so on) will break into the music business, worldwide. They deserve it.
People come out with rude comments because I feel they are jealous that Piet can actually sing that high and perfectly. Yes, there will always be a comparison with Dimash, but they are both different singers in their own right, I also feel that some just can't believe there are certain men that can hit these hight notes. Gabriel Henrique is another one, he's Portugese, but his high notes are amazing, again his way of singing is different, but such a powerful voice.

Some of the comments on this video are so rude. no he’s not dimash. He isn’t trying to be dimash either. In the original video on piets channel he comments that he is in not trying to copy dimash or be better than him. Piet himself is a big dimash fan. Even if some of the notes are tweaked with or auto tuned he still has an incredible voice.

He’s my Facebook friend from Austria named Piet Arion who works at a low paying job but his passion is music and every extra $ he makes a studio recording. I’m 74 and on Social Security but I try to send him $30-40 a month so he can continue to record. He’s about Dimash age and started making the studio videos at his own expense about 10 years ago. He’s a songwriter, too ( YT “for AF” a hauntingly beautiful untitled song he wrote and sang after his lover parted and broke his heart). But most of his Videos are tribute vids to singers he loves, ie Whitney Houston ( youtube “ one moment in time”)

For years he was lucky if he got 500 Likes. But about 4 weeks ago , he informed me that he decided to do a tribute video to Morissette who he loves. He decided to sing “ akin Ka Na Lang” but before he recorded it he had a Filipino friend who sat down with him and made sure his pronunciation and diction and meaning of the song were perfect ( His native language is German and 2nd English). It took him a few weeks to master the language. Then about a week and a half ago he recorded it-expecting maybe a few likes and comments. But when I heard it and saw the response , I fell out of my chair!!
To date , in less than 2 weeks it has received over 20,000 LIKES and over 4,000 COMMENTS and 95 % of the comments are “ WOW! OMG! PERFECT PRONUNCIATION ! BEST FOREIGN RENDITION!!
He sang it as close to Morissette’s as possible but retaining his own unique 6-octave vocal range rendition. This is his breakout song and the video is so incredible that a few of the 4,000 comments thought he was lip syncing and thought the 2 beautiful whistle notes were fake. They absolutely are not. He did version 2 to prove it. That’s his voice and whistle notes. Check out his “ Oh Holy Night” or Mariah Carey Hero Medley” and you will see that he is well known for his remarkable 6-octave vocal range including whistle notes.
I know this is long but if you ( or anyone reading this who is a Morissette fan) please watch Piet Arion version and leave a comment. You will at the conclusion probably utter OMG or WOW.

Actually I don't care if he's using autotune or not. I just really enjoy his version of the song. I don't know him too well, but he said himself, music is just a hobby for him. Maybe he doesn't sing live because he just wouldn't like it and sings better in a calm surrounding without being nervous.

I don't understand why people hate on him. People can never accept that there is someone out there that can do something that most people can't. He's just covering a song that he likes, like millions of other people around the world, even if he auto tuned it, he still has an impeccable voice range, and quite frankly, he really doesn't have anything to gain by pretending to be something he's not. If you read a comment above that a guy mentioned Piet's story and if it was real, I think this talented singer has no chance to sing Live. He is not as lucky as Dimash.

Amazingly incredible, I love this arrangement more than Dimash, coz it emphasizes delicately and intensively the climax, and this man has the most unique voice, three magical things this man has that Dimash doesn't have, 1st-- the incredible very low notes, 2nd-- the mid to high range whistle tone that's fuller and solid that sounded spreading magically to the atmosphere and the 3rd-- the highest range piercing whistle tone that somewhat able to break the heaven's door. This guy is not human, he's extra ordinary person, he's an angel. He's whistle is legit just for the record. When I listened to this song, I felt like my soul was flying and brought to heaven crying and broke down with tears, very emotional. Oh my God! What happened to me!!!.... Though Dimash is a winner in terms of range in chest and headvoice. Both have unique and powerful talent, though.

I agree with you. I too get emotional when I hear his tonality. Superb. The ppl who hate your comments are just stuck on Dimash., and they don’t tolerate other ppl. Im not a Dimash fan he’s very operatic but I do love his voice, respect his talent and body of work and I think he sings beautifully however that does not take away from another singer (Piet) who equally has a beautiful voice too. That’s like comparing Whitney Houston, to Celine Dione, to Laura Fabian. And saying who is better! Better???? All theses artists have beautiful voices….it just that one may capture the vibe or rendition of a song better better than the other one.

Of course dimash has reverb, delay and so on on his mic but it's not that strong and doesn't change when he's entering that higher register. dimash's high notes are actually very full, it was just too clean because hes overkilling it with operatic approach and cleaned out a lot of the distortion, that is HARRRD but aesthetically this song's original emotion impression is plain and desperate, Dimash actually may need to add some harmonic distortion to resonate in his mid falsetto range so it can make common people feel emotionally warmer and not so shrill to the face all of a dramatic sudden. However his approach wasnt mostly pop, it was more operatic for sure so u cant blame it

it is about creating atmosphere, emotion, experience, not about hitting this or that note, certainly not with an aid of a computer. Notes are just technical tools, not an aim in itself. Hitting higher notes doesn't guarantee a better performance, it can even detract from a performance if it is done just for show. Dimash's performances have excellence, soul, feeling and a magical, authentic atmosphere to them regardless of the notes he hits, and reducing his abilities to high or low notes is simply missing the entire point. I just can't stop listening to these songs (and others), the first two make me cry, the third makes me ecstatic, and his ability to deeply move me is the only thing that counts.

There is no chance he could perform that live. With enough editing and trixing eveyone can sing a song and make it sound great tbh. Even totally tone deaf people could put something great together using auto tune and other editing. So personally I will never get impressed by a vocal performance from a new artist unless it is live and unedited so Iám sure it is talent and not just faking.

Piet used to do a lot of "live" covers, but has lately been wanting to record more professional versions. That's why he decided to do studio recordings, because the sound quality is just that much better. And, just like most CD versions, autotune is a thing nowadays. I, too, hope he puts out a live cover of SOS. It would be awesome because I know he can pull it off.

The only thing he took from Vitas is the Mic technique and by the way even that wasn't Vitas original idea , it was used by singers in Ukraine & Latvia & Belarus in the past but they were using it just for effect like Dimash does to get the crowd cheering . Vitas on the other hand started doing that fate he was trashed for lip syncing so many times . Dimash voice tone is nothing like Vitas , even in Opera 2 where Vitas uses high falsetto, Dimash used his head voice and flipped to whistle .

Wow...straordinario ❤ questo ragazzo mi ha lasciato senza parole! Non ho familiarità con questo tipo di musica e di canto...perdona la mia ignoranza, ma no avrei mai creduto possibile che un uomo potesse raggiungere certe note e cantare in questo modo!

Roba da matti!!! Sono piacevolmente sorpresa...sembrano essere dotati di uno strumento soprannaturale, come gli angeli...nè uomo né donna!
