I have listened to many different versions of SOS and My favorite by far would have to be Piet Arion followed by Daniel Balavoine the original singer of SOS in Starmania and Dimash. Beautiful versions... I do like the more sensitive touch with this very dark sad piece.
I love your reaction! This version of Piet's SOS was masterful. Dimash's version is also beautiful but I thought that Piet's delicate handling and powerful ending was so appropriate for this dark piece. His whistle tones are incredible, They resonate beautifully in their longevity which is unusual with most singers. What a range he has.... I viewed also his earlier videos when he was much younger and it seems his gift is so natural. It seems seamless and come so easily and he has come a long ways. And I wish him the best. I hope that he will have the opportunity one day to be on stage like dimash and share with the world. His incredible gift. You really can't compare the two Dimash and Piet because their styles are so different. But Piet definitely has a unique style and wonderful storytelling presence.
