    Jason, Back away from the canvas, drop the brush, and back away from the canvas....lol I know it's so hard to stop sometimes isn't it?
    This one has to be my favorite so far, beautiful! I LOVE watching you "create" the mountains little by little :-) Thank you so much for sharing your talent and time with us.

    I just saw this and I love the simplicity in colors you use. It’s gorgeous. You have quite a calming imagination and it’s such a blessing to watch so thank you for sharing. I totally agree using what Bob Ross did makes it easier. I was trying to follow his video one day and when it came time to make reflections in the water, I made a big ugly dark streak and gave up. Now I’ll be using oils when following his videos, when I get around to it.

    so I had a question about the paints you are using. I have seen you use a lot of Bob ross materials. I was wondering for a first time painter what is the best to start out with as far as paints an brushes. I want to buy stuff to begin painting but don't know what I should start out with. should I just buy the Bob ross materials or save money an go a different route an get Winsor paints an so on. I want to do paintings like your mountains an other paintings like these landscapes an so on. thanks for all the help an information. keep the wonderful paintings coming.

    • @JasonBowen
      @JasonBowen  9 лет назад

      +Devin Alles (Shadoww) Well at the moment I use Winsor and Newton Artisan oils because they are water mixable and you don't need any solvents. But those paints are soft and you would have to paint in a slightly different manner to the Bob Ross style paintings. Hope that helps.

    • @shadoww8086
      @shadoww8086 9 лет назад

      +Jason Bowen so what would you suggest for someone that is a beginner just getting into oil painting for the first time. I know the materials are a bit overpriced cause they are name brand. I just want to know what you suggest a beginner to get for Starting out

    • @JasonBowen
      @JasonBowen  9 лет назад

      +Devin Alles (Shadoww) Not an easy question as there are so many options out there for an artist. I personally have tried a few brands and non brands and for me Winsor and Newton are very good and I enjoy the artisan oils very much. The Bob Ross art supplies are perfect for the Bob Ross system of painting.
      If I was first starting out I would just buy a few colours and have a go and see what I like or dislike about the paints. Sorry its not the best answer.
