There's some pretty critical people here.. . Don't get your panties in a bunch. Geez. I love Bob Ross as well and I think Jason did a great job showing people the basics to a snowy scene. It's a painting in 30 minutes. For crying out loud. Way to be supportive of people trying to inspire others about the joy of painting. Bob Ross would call you guys angry little trees. Thank you Jason for the video,
can definitely see the Ross influence. as a kid who grew up watching Bob Ross its awesome seeing his legacy and approach still has an impact. Happy Painting
Love the details you give for every step of your demonstrations. I love the little laugh, too. I am trying to get up the nerve to try painting mountains, and I appreciate your methods.
Sir, I have been searching the internet trying to find painting video like Bob Ross's. And you, YOU have finally ended me search! I loved watching his videos to help me sleep and now- hhhhh....Just, thank you! XD
Jason I've been watching for Idk past 6 months+ Just want to say thanks here from The U.S. and Ty so much Ive got I think every single 31 seasons of Bob Ross episodes And wow what a great guy he was! but anyways besides that i know you are fan of him so thought I'de mention it. Jason please just do what your heart is telling you and like Bob was once told where your heart is at you have got so much talent and it shows and i personally thank you! Its always a pleasure watching your paintings if i had extra money trust me ide be buying a canvas and paints and giving it a shot.. you guys make it look so easy haha! Anyways ty ty ty for all your hard work and sharing with us! its very much appreciated Jason!
I'll be honest, I thought you'd ruined it putting the dark area in the foreground, but fair play, you ended up knocking it out of the park with all those superb high-lights! And that snow at the bottom looks amazing! (As does the mountain). I do think maybe you should've put a little more detail in that dark row of trees though.
Hey Jason, I really enjoyed this particular painting. Contrary to what some people here say, I liked the uniform look of this painting and your use of different values of color. Also, I think the mountain looks top notch and overall your videos are relaxing and fun to watch. Keep up the good work man.
Love it, gotta get me some Bob Ross products, been trying without, and well to say it midly not coming out too great. Also great for just relaxation to watch this.
Just wanted to say ive enjoyed each episode and look forward to more and hopefully seeing you get more recognition for your work. I also like how diverse you are with your paintings and the imagination behind them all. Keep up the good work, cheers!
Another beauty Jason, it has helped me a lot, as the Bob Ross ones seem way too explain too fast and feels intimidating.Just getting back to the wet on wet style of paintings, and practicing snow breaking on the mountains on spare canvas.I'm more used to painting flat with gouache paints on heavy paper (I paint from vintage Marvel and DC Comics covers).Standing and painting using the Bob Ross oils upright is a challenge, but I will keep practicing.I think I've painted about 6 now, copied from the Joy of Painting shows. Thanks again Jason. RAY
I'm pretty sure I requested a winter scene back in feb/march when it was awful weather, so great to see one. Have you ever thought about a space picture? Say from the view from Mars? You could have the mountains of the red planet, looking back into space. Kinda cool? Anyway I look forward to seeing your next effort. Keep them coming
Dear Jason, could you please consider painting a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger fist fighting a predator in the jungle? That would be super badass. Also, this painting was great. Keep it up!
It seems like when I do it, I have too much paint and make mud. Like when you blend out with a dry brush it doesnt really move the paint alot, on mine the paint smears into one color, is it really just a matter of using less paint?
12345 6789 10 11 12 Make sure you have the right amount of liquid white applied. Also make sure the paints you are using are stiff as Bob said you should be able to get about 3/4 of and inch to stand up straight out of the tube when pressed. Your darker colors will be thicker normally and lighter ones a bit thinner. Always remember a thinner paint will stick to a thicker paint. Some brands work better than others for this type of painting style. You can buy Bob Ross brand but you can find different brands that will work just as fine for less.
Hi Jason..I'd like to ask you something about your brushes..I tried to use the knife but it's not simple..and I would like to know if you use sable or ox brushes..because wtith mine it's very difficult to do clouds, fog...What's the better brush? Sorry for my english..thank's a lot if you answer....bye.
You can do it in big although when I did it I used a large board that I covered in gesso then attached that to the wall and painted on that. Hope that helps.
Jason Bowen out of curiosity how big was the board? It's just that what I want to do is paint mountains on the up stairs landing, a waterfall coming down the stairs and have that go off into a river on the down stairs hall way. of course I would also be putting trees, bushes and that sort of thing to make it look more realistic. Thank you very much for replying and giving me your advise.

Beautiful demo...love ur painting..what type of canvas r u using??
Your mama
What do you use to make the bottom of the painting?what do you use to soften the paintings?
Can this be done with acrylic paints?
Can we paint mountains with using the brush instead of the knife? thanks.
its BEAUTIFUL! ^^
Not quite as soothing as Bob Ross, but the painting is just as good (If not better)! :D
His lines are too sharp, not much, but just enough to make his seem more "painty" than Bob's
ASMR'ers
Matty Atkins Don't you just think that Bob Ross' paintings look more smooth due to the poor video quality? :P
Mer134 having seen Bob work from dvd quality I'd say nope, he's just smooth
Amazing Halo Forges o
I paint with acrylics and gouache but I am sure I can still adapt the same principles.Thank you
Jason Bowen What are pre-stretched canvases?
Good job keep up the good work thank's.

Bonjour de France encore bravo je voudrais savoir si on peut mettre quelque chose dans la peinture acrylique pour qu'elle sèche moins vite merci
Nice work man
Fantastic
After painting a sci-fi/fantasy painting, you are back to basics I see.
Great stuff, my only criticism is I wish the camera was more focused on the brush and less on the hand
The little giggles freak me out lol
Cleaning the brush is the best part. :)
Thanks a lot..I will look for these brushes or similar..bye.
omg theses deserve so many more views...
Great pic! Do you also have the cartoon Chanel? You sound familiar.
Hi Jason, would these techniques work if transferring them to a wall and if so do you have any tips. Any help would be great fully received thanks.
