    I was the oponent from game 1. A lot of luck from my side, but it was a pleasure playing with you

      Well reid was crazy lucky during the entire remaning games in this run, so... Like he got nearly only really good hands, and had quite good matchups

    Casual Reid Duke vs Paul Rietzl round 3 on a Tuesday or whatever. Crazy.

    "That's me, I'm the doctor in this game." I giggled.

    Personally I always preferred Wall of Brambles over Wall of Wood. Two extra power and the ability to regenerate! But that's also when I didn't understand about a mana curve yet... (To be fair, most players hadn't heard of a mana curve yet.)

    Would love to see Reid play Jund Creativity in Modern

    i dont think you should sb out leyline of the guilpact vs mill bc it makes you less vulnerable to Archive Trap and also it makes randomn fetches tap for mana without having to thin your deck

    when is it correct to use the fetchlands for deck thinning pourposes ? , for example in game 1 you have a 5 land hand and didnt fetch

    If you don't put Ragavan in your deck (assuming you're going to face a lot of Yawgmoth), what else do you play in that slot? I've been trying to figure that out for several weeks now.

    this deck looks so dependent on its opener with ragavan and leyline making certain starts unbeatable, and so many dead draws, especially if the opponent manages to clog up the board with their own creatures.
    i wonder if you can play both leylines, scion and kavu in some totally different deck with solitude or force of negation/subtlety (to use extra leyline). the old zoo cards like nacatl/tribal flames seem so weak compared to the new cards in the deck.

      Might I interest you in the Blue Zoo variant of the deck?

    This deck - Leyline + Threat seems legit

      Well this deck, including Leyline, is one of the best decks in the format lol

    Seems like leyline was the worst card in deck. With tri lands you can easily have domain on turn two anyways.

    It looks like you need to cut a few lands....you lost match 1 by flooding in games 1 and 3

      21 is probably right given the curve. Jund for example runs between 22-24 and control shells tend to run more (except new landcyclers have sort of changed that)
      Flood and screw are just a part of variance sadly

      while good, feels like the 4 leylines also kind of add to the flood factor as being bad draws late game too.

    I would drop 1 Ragavan 4 Nishoba Brawler 1 Wooded Foothills 1 Windswept Heath; Add 3 Hexdrinker 2 Qasali Ambusher 2 Boseiju, Who Endures. Easy framework to tweak though, mtg classic.

    • @kylejoly577
      @kylejoly577 2 месяца назад +1

      Why add 5 bad creatures?

    • @habsamdwich
      @habsamdwich 2 месяца назад +3

      I can't say I agree with those changes - qasali ambusher, while occasionally free, costs more than nishoba brawler for worse stats, boseiju doesn't contribute to domain, and hexdrinker seems way too slow when the deck is mostly 2 drops and you need to put 4 mana into hexdrinker for it to be a reasonable threat, and even then it has less power than kavu or brawler if you have domain
