There’s a plague of people using speakerphone in public. WHY!!!!??? I actually saw a woman today using her phone on speakerphone but still holding it to her ear!!! What the actual f#ck!!!!!!
I can’t hear that’s why
@@saundrajones2971 Everyone else can f#cking hear you. Ever heard of earphones? Headphones?
@@saundrajones2971 why are you talking on the phone if you can't hear? Seems like text would be a more reasonable means of your main communication.
So why are you so focused on what others are doing? With all the stuff people do? Sorry I am just moving on. Also what a left field comment what does this have to do with the review of the movie? If something like this is really making you this angry in life? Re-evaluate some things.
@@raf686 well, you are focused of what other people are writing, so what's the diff?
They should make "Planet of the Planet of the Apes'
Planet of the World of Apes Planet
@@madmaxmedia Apes! In Planet of Ape World Monkeys of American Apes of the Planet Ape Monkey World Apes!
Planet of the galaxy of the apes
The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
Love the new setup man! Keep up the great stuff my friend
I thought the biggest problem with War was that they marketed it as a big action-packed finale of the trilogy, but it was a much slower movie compared to the first 2. I think a lot of people were disappointed because it wasn't what they were expecting. I re-watched that trilogy this week and I have to say that War is a MUCH better movie than I remembered it being. I don't think it's quite as good as Dawn, but definitely the second best.
I was very worried while walking into this one because of how well the previously trilogy ended, and felt like we needed a few more years before they continued on. Glad I was wrong because this one really worked for me. The characters, VFX, and post-Caesar story are where I needed them to be, and I’m looking forward to what comes next. Great video, Adam!
Here’s a good one Adam I just saw the movie last night with my boyfriend. And the guy next to me was watching a god damn soccer game during the movie!!! Brightness on and everything… and his family got up at least 4 times for the bathroom.
I have a big rant coming out on the new theater experience later today!
A fight almost broke out in my theater because a guy wouldn’t get off his phone….
Caesar has life experience,
Noel is just a teen.
Caesar has the most unique life experience of anyone in the franchise, he's the first of his kind, the only ape ever that really knew both worlds like he did.
Awesome review of my favorite Planet Of The Apes movie!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Finally just saw it. I agree that Noa is good, but idk if they can top Caesar as a character. I’m not even sure if they will make another movie with Noa. There wasn’t much sequel baiting, which I liked. Not everything needs a sequel. Also agree that it was a while before Proximas was introduced into the film. I thought Noa was going to get captured immediately and meet him sooner.
One last thing is I don’t think the score was as good as the first trilogy. They only played it in Caesar funeral.
I'll have to rewatch all of the apes movies. I didn't even know that Caesar died. I thought this one would be about Caesar as well
So no Cornelius?
Nope
Appreciate the haircut.
Adam, I don't know how much you fly, but I'd love to see a Rant on the airport & flying on an airplane. What grinds my gears is that 90% of the people using phones/audio devices won't use some type of earphones/earbuds. Also, when you go out of your way to find a more secluded quite spot some jackholes roll right up to you to sit down and have a loud conversation. This is especially true for airport employees
I 💯% agree with you. Caesar is really missing in this movie. His character was so strong. Movie was still the best I've seen this year though
I enjoyed the movie as a set up for a new trilogy. It’s not one I see myself watching by itself like I can for the previous three. I liked the characters and the VFX were really nice to look at. I’m interested to see where this trilogy goes.
You just wait for the real epic scifi this year from the director of The Godfather, Francis Ford Coppola with his new movie called Megalopolis. The teaser trailer has already dropped on his RUclips channel hopefully you can do a reaction for it. He started it since 1983 all the way until now and self funded the movie itself for 120 million dollars and even said “sold a significant piece of his wine empire so that he could use a percentage of the sale as collateral for the line of credit to finally make the film.” THAT IS TRUE PASSION AND DEDICATION of film director. This movie deserves more attention
I'll probably check this one out eventually, but man, I miss Caesar already. 🥺😭 That trilogy was just so good.
I would have loved more time with Proxima Caesar. He was a protagonist that was extremely dangerous in that he had Caesar's leadership instinct fused with Koba's cruelty and a dash of charm. I think it would be smart to bring him back (we didn't see a body!) and make him the big bad of this trilogy and have the ape vs humans narrative be secondary. Then have the next trilogy time skip to the original movie.
I really liked Kingdom, i too was let down by War, so for me, got me into franchise again, looking forward to more, but yes i do agree that they held back some, for the next movies. 8/10
DAYUM... I wish you'd said "spoiler" before saying what ya said about War 😢... I actually hadn't seen it yet, was planning to soon though because I just watched Rise and Dawn... Oh well.
Thanks for the review anyway, lol
Nice haircut. I saw a small boost in your subscribers. I honestly think you can get to 100K subscribers sooner than you think. As far as this movie goes, I am just going to catch it on streaming b/c like you I do not like sitting in a moviehouse for pushing 3 hours if you include previews. See on streaming. Catch it at home.
Yay Adam!
@@juliebeebe442 To me he runs a great show. As long as he has been at this he should have 100K or more. I think the algorithm doesn't know exactly what to do with his channel b/c he isn't vanilla or just tells you what he thinks or what you want to hear. There is a market for him here. Not everyone has to be a smiling smuck on RUclips. There is a place for that as well. Clearly I like his channel. He will get 100K subscribers soon.
@@DominickSpano I agree.
I think he is the most normal, cool, smart, moviehead out there.
I thought Noah was a likeable character. He was young and innocent but also quite clever and fair. I liked the movie except for the fact the ending is a little too open for other chapters.
I'm not going to see it for the following two reasons. The first one is the reviews are saying it's an average film. The second one is, I'm not going to reward the film industry for rehashing the same thing over and over.
Wow so brave, whatever would this world be without your brilliance!
@@Jones183🎉😂
Contraguations! You've saved the film industry forever! From now on they will no longer rehash ideas and only make original movies because of your choice.
@@marcusholder6508 I will not be watching Mufasa either.
Cool story. Good thing I follow myself when seeing a movie. But cool story man.
Needed more Maurice. Probably my least favorite of the new apes movies, still good tho
True.
Great review as always Adam, I enjoyed this one too but agree it didn't hit as hard as the Caesar trilogy, still a great watch though
I felt that 2.5 hours but enjoyed it. I agree it could have been shorten so it didn't drag. I don't need this film, nor the rest of the trilogy yet I appreciate the connection to the original film! I wanted more explanation of how these factions formed as well. The opening scene was incredible! Did they ever explain the term 'echo'? I hoped for an end of credits scene that was a flash forward with the Icarus splashing down.
Overall, this franchise sets a high standard on prequels. I really enjoyed your review.
It's a natural selection to deviate from the norm.
I thought this movie was mid at best. It’s plagued by the most boring one dimension characters. You can’t top the last trilogy but damn, this was a snooze. 5/10. I hope we don’t continue with these characters going forward
No? These characters ar i teresting ok
Glad many disagree.
Next will be theme park of the planet of the apes, Noah becomes walt disney
Yes. I can see it now. Call it "Jurassic World of the Apes".
I loved the movie, I find it admirable that a big blockbuster was confident enough to take things slow and have limited action. Good review!
Looks like a video game cut scene
I’m so sick of CGI
Coming back to watch this after finally seeing the film. It was okay. Not nearly as good as the last trilogy. I missed the social commentary of the last three.
Going to see the movie on Sunday
I liked the film no spoiler but I think the eagles are symbolic to the ending that’s all I’ll say, it may seem weird in context but it actually has some symbolism behind it
Spiritual aspirations to challenge of how far can apes go.
Adam you lost me at “War was my least favorite”
Im trying to figure out how people thought this film was mid and boring, do people not like slow burners?
I loved the movie. Not a fan of Mae's stoic acting but enjoyed the movie. I was actually annoyed overhearing people say that the movie was a snoozefest. And many reviews of the film actually seems to be made by people who paid no attention to the film at all. I swear that brain dead critics piss me off
Apparently people do not like well written stories 🤷🏻♂️
@@GG101_ well in all fairness Hollywood for the last 6 to 7 years has set the bar ao low that audience has become use to that
@@Jonathan-fu5hx I wasn't a huge fan of what her purpose was in the story
@@jarrodedson5441 Her purpose was to find the key that will make satellites work so humans can contact all talking humans in the world to come together and be strong again.
Disney has this franchise now. Expect nothing but failures. Or soon to be failures.
Yes Noah was not great character
👍👍👍
Need thumbnail designer?
Next one is called “Rise of the planet of the horses and eagles”. The horses and eagles revolt against the apes for subjugating and oppressing them.
Yes. I can see it now. Apes invent a virus that makes eagles smart and apes dump. Call it Planet of the eagles.
I think you misu derstood this whole movie
War is the best one! What are you talking about
