Tbh the difficulty spikes have just become a thing for this game. Like “You thought the button puzzle in SA1 was hard? Child’s play. Kronos Island puzzle.” And now “You thought Eggmanland was hard? Fuck you. The entire fifth island hates you.”
They absolutely made the ending so much better than the main game. Ouranos as a whole feels a lot more climactic than the main game, playing as the other characters was a lot of fun. The towers and that final trial tho, dear god why 😭 it took me 3 hours to beat the final trial. And the final boss was just 👌. I don’t think we’ve had a boss feel that climactic since Dark Gaia
Although the hardest part for me was the first two towers and the final boss. Firstly cause in the first tower it was 5 v 1 and having all of ur stats at level 1 was mind blowingly hard and without mentioning the bloody time limit. The final boss was tricky for me, mostly cause I had no idea on what to do. But surprisingly, the 3 and 4 towers were very easy, mostly cause it was just parry, attack, repeat. And as for the master king tower, all u hav to do is cyloop them, cause ur attack hit harder when u cyloop them. I beated it in the second try

If you guys noticed, the cutscene where Sonic is losing rings affects your gameplay. It limits your time in Super Sonic to 100 rings no matter how many rings you had prior.
WE ARE SO BACK, BABY!! The towers are a pain and I love playing these characters again and the fight was peak. Morio kishimoto and Ian Flynn cooked. Also it’s so heartwarming to see sage alive and well, plus idk what the future holds for eggman hes not the same after this. Also, have you noticed the super move on the end it looks like what sonic did to zavok during the metal virus. God the characters, the music, and the fights. Sega and Sonic Team can’t lose this and I’m so ready for the next adventure along with the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow the Hedgehog. Have a good day, man.

I still love finding people who react to this DLC, because they really improved EVERYTHING that i found a tad off about the Original Game. Yes, it was REALLY challenging, like geez, but everyone was fun to play, and This finale was what officially turned this game into my Favourite Game, alongside the Splatoon Series. (I’ve been obsessed with Sonic my whole nearly 20 years of life) The music is incredible, the Visual Splendour of The Final Boss, and CYBER SUPER SONIC, will forever be ingrained into my mind. I cried so hard at the end of this game, and This Alternate ending. It truly is in my eyes, a Masterpiece, of a game.
They COOKED. I never played the game, but seeing this new ending after seeing the old one. THIS, is the true ending we deserved. After sonic forces, they learned a bit more with frontiers, but with the updates. They corrected their mistakes, and now, frontiers, is redeemed. The ending we wanted. Now, they need to take these lessons, to the next game. Learn from the mistakes. And improve even further with the next game. Don't repeat history Sega, we all make mistakes but you learned from it. And this, is a sign that there is a chance to fix things
I’d definitely recommend the game, there’s a few weird design choices (like a pinball puzzle to unlock one of the titan fights) but I think it’s all worth it, and playing as all characters is great (also spindash is amazing)

That hit me in the feels because Sonic X was my childhood and Season 3 was amazing with the Metarex Arc. Glad SEGA still remembers how awesome that show was to not only me but many other sonic fans.
It has issues, and criticism should be taken into consideration for the next game, BUT overall I’d say it was great. I’m happy with it. Definitely struggled in some parts myself, but I’m glad I did.
Im grateful they decided to not only they listened to the fans closer than ever before - but they also gave us an alternate ending, many of which claims to be the true ending - and best of all its free HOWEVER, my only gripe about this update is how unapologetically difficult it is - i mean its Dark Souls level of difficult from my experience, as much as i love the game, the update just feels a lot harder than it should be I like a challenge, especially in the sonic games, but this was slightly overstepping it
Nah I'm glad they did. The people wanted difficulty, so they gave difficulty. It also makes the final island climax all the more satisfying. They definitely didn't intend people to complete it the day it came out.

As a player who wants to enjoy the story while playing myself, I'd expect Easy mode to actually be possible even for people with timing difficulties born of physical disabilities like me. As it stands, I cannot complete the story since I'm stuck on the final trial - all because they decided to take away all those levels I worked so hard to get just so I would be able to fare better against tougher enemies - and now I even have to somehow take on THREE consecutively, without even an option to replenish my rings. In other words, I feel like the developers have taken away what made Sonic Frontiers so accessible to me - its forgiving nature.
They didn't need to do this. At all. But they did. And not just that, they did it for free. This was, for all intents and purposes, a perfect encore for an already amazing game. Base Sonic Frontiers was the most fun I have had with a 3d Sonic game to date. This was just icing on the cake. Really challenging at times icing, mind you, but well worth it especially for that final fight. Thank you for making, Sonic Team!
I’m so glad sonic team made this update. I got the same emotions from when I beat sonic unleashed for the first time. So much nostalgia. I had so much fun with all the characters and trials.(some of the trials) I’m glad other people felt the same hype I did.

This was a great dlc and a much better ending than the original, my only real complaint is that the new form didnt really add much other than a new "Y+B" animation and a perfect parry which im not exactly sure how it was different from the older one? We could already reflect projectiles ever since the Wyvren fight unless im missing something here? No new attacks for this enhanced form so same old same old of mashing stomp and cross slash for the best damage possible and unfortunately no sequence to fight with that crazy light blue cyber corrupt form which would have been a sick evolution from the blue eye'd form to fight with from a gameplay perspective but overall great visuals, great cutscenes, good ending, just a bit lack luster on the gameplay portion. EDIT: Lack luster on the gameplay portion as in the gameplay portion for super sonic, the trial towers and new playable characters were great and definitely changed up the spice of the game!
Watching you do this was amazing. You may be the only person I've seen who didn't have to repeat the boss fight a couple times to figure everything out. And the story changes... yeah, I can absolutely understand why you're crying.

He's so goofy... he's just... a goofy cartoon hedgehog with huge eyes and big goofy hands and a silly nose and shiny red shoes. But somehow it's so powerful I found myself starting to tear up at the end, maybe just because I grew up with this character and he means so much to me. Despite my gripes with the new ending and some stuff not exactly making sense, the final boss being kinda confusing and janky, etc... I'm really glad they put so much work into improving the ending. The funniest part of the video is that every time you mentioned anything of the boss right or ending, I was thinking the exact same thing when I played the boss for the first time

I have mixed feelings on this update but I loved it especially the story. Playing Knuckles, Amy and Tails again was a treat (I liked Knuckles and Didn't like Amy, Tails is fun but seriously no homing attack.) Just getting to play these characters again after 17 years! Yeah the platforming challenges and everything else was a weird difficulty spike! I'm not a fan. ESPECIALLY King Koco challenge. It took me 2 days to beat it and 3 attempts at the final boss(I mean seriously I hate that you had to attack the cord on Supreme! Piss me off!) But damn grinning ear to ear at Super Sonic 2! Also the Sonic X reference, And beating it. THEY COOKED! Loved the new themes. Overall 9/10 I had fun!
This dlc was definitely a challenge. But with this final boss the struggle was worth it! I was very disappointed with the original ending to the game and this new ending i nearly cried tears of joy! I had a big smile on my face during this whole fight and this makes me incredibly excited to see what the future of this franchise has in store!
Theres no way this was your first time playing this ending, you did everything perfectly and others play for 30mins for them to not make any progress. I mean it makes the video quicker ig but its also fun to watch the struggle that I had playing this game
I ADORE how the entire thing was so cohesive. All of the trials was training you to fight under pressure, get really good with the parry, and maximizing the cyloop to even have enough time to beat it. (Granted, it needs work, like being better at telegraphing attacks and making hitboxes match up, but still). Then it made you feel how desperate you were against the three Titans, so when you destroyed Supreme it felt justified. You also missed out on some crazy QTE stuff too, the fight is so dynamic with whatever the situation is!

It took me 2 days to beat it and 3 attempts at the final boss(I mean seriously I hate that you had to attack the cord on Supreme! Piss me off!) But damn grinning ear to ear at Super Sonic 2! Also the Sonic X reference, And beating it. THEY COOKED! Loved the new themes. Overall 9/10 I had fun!
Personally, if I had the money, I'd write this game into my genetics. It's THAT good.
This dlc was definitely a challenge. But with this final boss the struggle was worth it! I was very disappointed with the original ending to the game and this new ending i nearly cried tears of joy! I had a big smile on my face during this whole fight and this makes me incredibly excited to see what the future of this franchise has in store!

Theres no way this was your first time playing this ending, you did everything perfectly and others play for 30mins for them to not make any progress. I mean it makes the video quicker ig but its also fun to watch the struggle that I had playing this game

I ADORE how the entire thing was so cohesive. All of the trials was training you to fight under pressure, get really good with the parry, and maximizing the cyloop to even have enough time to beat it. (Granted, it needs work, like being better at telegraphing attacks and making hitboxes match up, but still). Then it made you feel how desperate you were against the three Titans, so when you destroyed Supreme it felt justified.
You also missed out on some crazy QTE stuff too, the fight is so dynamic with whatever the situation is!
Cant eait to see someone mod the Sonic Adventure Super Sonic hair with the counter

You have to attack the head and then use the dodge.
Attack the head, then tap the quickstep/dodge
@@KaiZenAmen Think of the Knight’s shield. You can dodge and go around the shield and skip the QTE where you ride the shield

Homing attack Supreme once and then dodge. You should lock onto the cord. Once that happens, wail like your life depends on it 👍
