This is the most useful setup I've seen for last two years! Great work!!! :)
Wow! This is perfect. Never even thought about a set up like this in my office. We have a hard shooting videos because we are busy and taking and putting up lights and equipment take too long. Thanks for the sharing and going to be buying this entire parts list today :).
Does the Intellytech light come with the soft box you used? I saw on BH it comes with one but it looks different from yours?
Looks very nice but was surprised that you did not attach the mic stand to the super clamp. Given the square shape it looked like a perfect fit!
DSLR Video Shooter An awesomely wonderful and beautiful invention. 😊🎉One question how do you get your audio to sound so good?
You're the king of these ergonomic all-in-ones.
also dont forget yourself :)
Agreed! Genius!
Big words coming from Gerald
are you the prince?
Ha! Thanks brotha!
Man - I’m so glad Peter McKinnon and Aputure invented this a year later!! 🤣🤣😜
I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw Peter's thumbnail.
This is... exactly what I've been needing for a setup or two. Holy cow. You just changed my world.
EposVox is legend!
@@Eddylive :D
You know this is a great idea when Eposvox mind is blown
Just started my build and gotta say, thanks Caleb. I live in a small apartment and this is exactly what I was looking for but didn't know till you made it. Been seeing other creators now credit you as inspiration behind their own build and its no surprise - this thing is *amazing!* You're the man 🤟
Very clever! I recently built my own version of Adam Savages rolling tool cart to get more organized in my workshop, and this strikes me as the video kit version of that same project. I may have to do something similar for my own talking head shots. That may be my side project this week.
Yoow you got 2M subscribers
This is the single most helpful, remarkable setup I’ve seen amongst the hundreds I’ve watched from you, Sean Cannell, Potato Jet, and a host of others. Thank you Caleb. Thank you so much.
I keep an eye on this channel, not a videographer but always like your presentations. This one is brilliant, loved it. Really appreciate the physical putting together of all the parts and full description of what they are. I don't live somewhere where I can visit a store packed w/ accessories (or even just a plain ol' camera store), so this approach of yours really teaches me in a most complete fashion. Thanks
2023 DSLRshooter: "I built an ironman suit out of smallrig components "
Yes! Thanks for the laugh, Rayo
I havn't seen a single SmallRig Component in this video.
hahaha!!!
Hahahaha! 💪

Built one of these today for work and my Zoom meetings... my clients LOVE the clarity of my SL3 and Sigma lens, but getting all that out of the way and organized is awesome. Thanks! for this video, it’s perfect!
This is great film!!! One of the most difficult issues is ergonomics in the recording and you showed how you can do it without losing energy. I look forward to more such films.
Great solution! I've been wanting to build 3 of these for a while to solve so many studio or on-site problems. Glad to see you break it down in detail. Thanks!!!
I just added this video to more than 10 lists of youtube, audio, lenses, recording studio, lighting, recording studio, etc. This video is by far the best of 2019, congratulations!
Attach another 40" grip arm and have it pointed at you as a handle, and you could walk down the street for night time vlogging.
Stephen Krieger 😂
Guess it's time to workout
Stephen knows what’s up
zarrar ahmed malik2007 no need to workout, it’s on wheels 😂😂😂
That would get stolen from me in Manhattan in 3-2-1...
Love builds like this. This is the kind of thing i put together when im procrastinating
First of all, this is an amazing vid and exactly (kind of, almost) what I was needing in my life. While I don't create vids to make money (seems like that's what a lot of these youtube-how-tos are geared toward), I do create them to see my progress with my guitar playing, and now, as a teacher during the COVID closure, create read-alouds and various short vids for my students. I just purchased a CannonM50 and, per your advice, returned my RODE and got a Deity mic. I had been using my laptop and a snowball for years. Time to move up to the next level. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your youtube channel. Appreciate your tips, presentation, and QUICK AND EASY way of explaining things. (Last night I watched a 40-minute video with so many visuals, my eyes were crossing.) You mentioned at the end of this vid to ask you questions for possible new features on your channel. I would love to see something a little more low-key, not so much beginner - but ready-for-that-next-level, and more geared toward recording instruments, like playing guitar, singing, etc. - and just for FUN. Not to make a buck. =-) Thanks!
Amazing! I’m just setting up a new studio and have been looking for solutions to elimate the clutter or stands and wires…this takes it to another level. Thank you! Amazing content!
Every single time you're surprising me with your level of creativity! Thanks for the awesome tips Caleb!
Thank you!
I love it! I had a different idea for a studio with limited space I’m moving into soon, but a variation of this is the new idea - thanks!
this is awesome content coz you make the way more shorter for someone who's thinking about some kind of setup and doesn't know where to start, so you give us a great ideas and then we can adjust the setup as our requirements and needs which makes our work way easier .. thanks a lot for such a contents.
Both this single setup as well as the desk setup in the other video are both amazing options! Thank you for this!
I could see this working great for corporate interview setups where you have to cram everything into a tiny office. I would love to see if this would be stable holding something like the 120d with a light dome as far off to one side as possible and maybe something like a 2' quasar tube as a hair/back light opposite. Thanks for the gresat content caleb
Hi Caleb,
this looked great in your video.
I ordered exactly that, and the stand parts arrived one hour ago. Now, everything is mounted, and it looks like the one in the video.
And: it WORKS as shown. Thank you for this inspiration!
Best regards from GERMANY, Michael
Awesome Caleb. This content is super helpful for people as a starting point. I really like this setup and can see some improvements I could make. I’m gonna build it out!
Your videos are super helpful for someone like me looking to professionalized their home video set up. Thanks so much
Caleb, I love this rig set up!! I really dig and appreciate your build videos. Such a solid resource of great ideas! Please, more! Thank you!! 😃
Hey Caleb - thanks for the great idea. I went with the Impact rolling stand and was surprised by the build quality. Not the equal of similar Matthews but robust enough with smooth tubes and smooth locks. Really surprised. I built a similar rig with a variety of Impact, Kupo, Avenger and Matthews components. It really beats setting everything up separately!
OMG! You are a life-saver! I've been trying to create a compact solution for extremely small space ... then I saw this video ... cheaper light and I'm there ... THANKS!
Great idea to make that workflow super streamlined!
OMG I've been trying to create something like this (but for a webseries) for about a year now and was so close...this has given me SO many ideas to work from! Portability is what I'm going for
Sweet setup! I have a shoddy setup with 11in friction arms coming off my cage (one for a small LED light and the other for a shotgun mic), but this one looks way sturdier.
SO HELPFULL, So many good Ideas in here, this could be expanded to so many aspects of filmography
Thank you so much for this!! Love the details of your setup! Will definitely have something like this once I get my studio!
This is great! You have inspired! This is the set-up I was dreaming about and I didn't even know it! Thank you,
Rudy
Excellent video. Keep up the good work. This year will the year of the roving RUclips studio setup. Thanks
What a great idea! Thanks for making this video. I'm going to check out the stand and other things and hopefully make this. It will surely make my life a lot easier filming things. Thanks again!!!
Thank you for sharing this awesome setup. I am new to learning how to build out a live stream, video studio. I am going to try it out .
So many solutions in your work. Thanks and HNY 2022 from Vancouver!
This could be one of your very best episodes EVER... extremely thankful for your insights and willing to share...
That's a cool setup. I like this video and would love to see more like this. I would also love to see more videos about your workflow (video editing, etc.).
I've been thinking for a long time doing something like this to my studio, because i hate my static setup. Thanks for the inspiration. I think I'll try to build a budget version of this. 👍🏻
Caleb, I've been watching and using your informative vids for years to help build up my filming kit. Without a doubt your custom rig vids are my favourite but they were never that practical for my use cases. This however is absolute genius and I am going to copy this ASAP. Nice one!
wow! you were GOD SENT!! I was looking at building the perfect youtube setup and I found this video! I honestly don't understand how you don't have a million subscribers already!!! Thank you so much!!!
One stand, holds it all!
This is super smart and amazing
OK. Out of all of your crazy “ultimate ...” this is by far the most practical of them all!
I film in my office which is 16x16 but I share with another person so efficient use of space is a must!
Seriously amazing setup! I need something like this for my room. You just gave me some ideas, thank you man!
Why have I not seen something like this before?! Absolutely brilliant!
This is amazing...I definitely need a system like that. Thank you for sharing these tips.
Just when I thought it could not get better, comes Caleb and sets the bar higher one more time.
Now I’m loving these new set ups. How about a multi camera set up? That would save so much time.
You have some of the most practical, effective and useful tips and advice here at youtube .. Cheers ... !
This might be the most useful video of the year for me. Thank you so much, Caleb.
I just got most of my parts in the mail today! Sooo excited. Thanks man.
I built one of these for my RUclips studio...love it! Thanks!
Absolutely fantastic walk through Caleb. So simple once you break it down
Super useful, I was actually thinking of doing something like this in the future. I am definitely going to save this and come back to it.
I love this set yo much so clean and simple
Thank you for this video. I had just bought two C-stands so I could hang some stuff off of them in the hopes of reclaiming some floor space in my small studio. It never occurred to me to go one step further and mount my camera on it too. I can now walk again in my studio without being a contortionist and having to duck and weave through a jungle of light stand legs and tripods.
Love this video so much.. I come back to it often.
I just started building a version of this! Such a great idea. I am using my iPad Air and an iOgrapher case and lens.
Thanks for this. I am going to try this out.
Awesome setup! Thanks for putting in the time and research to create this. Super helpful!
Oh this is great! I might be downsizing my studio and this would be PERFECT! Thanks!
JAMES CAMERON: “We just invented a special camera rig for Avatar 2.”
CALEB: “Hold my beer...”
Hahaha! Thanks man ;-)
The idea of one stand for a yt kamerasetup ist very funy👌
Thats so cool
This is an awesome setup. Purchased the whole thing with the exception of the camera, mic and light... Can't wait to put this thing together! Thanks for the video...
Nice! Great tips. Just bought 3 of these items with your links for my setup. Don't need it to be mobile, but I love the idea of having it in place at the ready all on one C-stand.
Bam. Dig your style. Articulate and informative. Always enjoy watching and learning from your channel.
Caleb I just received my very first super clamp in the mail today. Grip equipment has become very addicting. What you can do with it is only limited by one's imagination. Again thank you for sharing. I always love your videos. Especially set up videos like this. Long-term subscriber.
- Will
This is amazing! I love it it. Gonna have to start picking some of this stuff up.
I built this thanks to your video over a year ago, and it’s been SO helpful. One note- I use a Canon C200, pretty heavy, and thought I’d use a more expensive head, but the cam weight pulls the smart clamp arm down, so the cam is not level in that direction. Ball head is the way to go.
I've watched this video multiple times now. I love it! Thank you :)
The switch up at 8:49 blew my mind - the natural light and darkness completely changed the scene, can't believe it was the same space!
Thanks for all work on help amateurs like me to DIY good enough setups, or even incredible setups, spending money in the correct stuff ! I would like to see video classes small rooms setups, to stand up filming, with teleprompter, with 1 or 2 cameras, plus pc screen, recorded output to post-edition. Best regards from Brasil !
I saw this video when it was originally released and enjoyed it. But now that I'm looking at livestreaming from my office - THIS IS GENIUS!!! I'm ordering the goods today!
HI there.I know this video is almost a year old, but guess what. Its super relevant to me at this exact moment. I have made my RUclips studio on a stand and I am thrilled about it. I think maybe (even though I know your not strapped for content) to make talk about what you’ve learned from these older videos, give us some updates, and new ideas. The info is priceless, thank you!
Love your building guides. Best was the audio kit, but this one is great too.
What a fantastic idea. Thanks for putting all that together!
Great! that stand is awesome!!! Thanks for sharing a very practical video!!!
I can't hold back my gratitude for this awesome video and idea, you just made my day. Thanks a lot
This is why I come to your channel time and time again. 👍👍👍
Awesome video!! Love these DIY style tips. So much fun to watch even if you’re not going to do it yourself. Very interesting. 😍
Really creative. I enjoyed this video. I have learnt a thing or two and I'll definitely apply some of I have learnt to my set-up. Thanks for making this video.👍👍👍
Great idea for a simple and movable setup!
Awesome. I just might do this, because it would help me a lot with an autobiographical piece I’ve been thinking of doing in various locations in my home.
You have gained a subscriber! Thank you for sharing and taking your time to showcase the process. Hats off to you, sir!
Thanks for this inspirational video! Keep up the great channel.
Dude, first video of yours I've seen and the value is insane! Earned a sub 💯
The best RUclips channel I've ever seen Filled with clever informations and insights
Clear and simple explanation for viewers
Thank you very very much
In Arabic شكرا جزيلا بارك الله فيك وجزاك الاسلام والجنة
Omg’. This just saved me tons of time and frustration!! So clear and simple. You rock ❤!
Una idea genial!!! Me encanta! Veo que puede ser una exclenete idea para el contenido de limpieza que hago. Muchas gracias por compartir!
Ammmmazing setup! Love your videos and reviews!
Wow thank you. I have been searching for a video like this!
I have seen this being done with a 231cs from Manfrotto. Bit less sturdy but easier to handle, and thanks to the grip mounts it takes 10 seconds to go from sitting to standing perspective.
This is fantastic Caleb!
your videos are just so damn good dude. Just the way this entire show all the way down to linking what you use vs budget recomendations. Thank you very much man.
Awesome setup, thanks for sharing!
Great setup! I may have to steal this. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome setup...simple and convenient
So helpful - I was stuck in a confused daze - and then I just decided to trust you and buy the kit. Thanks!
Did a little research and found this good alternative: www.ulanzi.com/products/uurig-table-top-universal-live-broadcast-stand?aff=46
Love it! such a great idea!
