Well they made it more laborious than it had to be. I simply put mine in a bathroom sink of soapy water and scrubbed the outside then turned it inside out & scrubbed that. And mine is not even that old. I rinsed it under warm water then patted off the excess with Viva paper towels then sat it in the sun and let it air dry and done. After that I wiped it down with leather conditioner from Home Depot and boom. Done. I think they did this unnecessary dragged out sound alarm cleaning for views and kicks.

The yellow thread is exactly how authentic LV bags come but they only use it on the undyed Vachetta leather. And the reason the new leather is lighter is because thats what new Vachetta leather looks like, it only gets darker and more brown from sunlight, oils from your hands and water stains. aka with age and use. Go on the LV website most/all of the LV monogram items that have leather on them will be this colour most of the time.
The owner of that purse would be all “check out my authentic Louis” and I’d take one look at that stitching and think to myself ‘you poor, naive girl’..
The bag itself is authentic. Reworking the patch isn’t a big deal because he can always remove it and send it to the San Dimas warehouse for “authentic” repair...which is literally what he’s doing anyway
I don't get the "ASMR"-Hype, the sound of scissors cutting doesn't give me goosebumps, but I enjoy watching a video without hearing some explanations, just with natural sounds, it's so calming! Thank you (and: amazing work by the way!)

I cleaned my canvas Coach bag (about this size) with Mr Clean and then olive oil on the patent leather. I used a birthday candle on the zipper. it came out looking brand new. It is now in a bag in the closet. Just wanted to share my low price cleaning.

I have two bags that are 35 years old. They look well loved. As far as Coach, even if there is a small charge, it would be worth it. There are also some good videos on cleaning Coach bags on You Tube.
Amazing! I had a few Louis Vuitton bags in over 20 years but still in immaculate condition. All I had to repairs are a couple of it which Louis Vuitton repaired it free.

Here in my city there's an artisanal market and a store for leathercraft bags, belts, backpacks, everything is so beautifully crafted and you can tell the quality of the materials, you can buy a full leather backpack for around 200-300 USD. Pretty sure outside of my country leatherwork is much more expensive.

A lot of other coated canvas like Bruberry, Coach, or even higher end brands like Goyard feel plasticky I think. They've changed the formula thru the years but its the coated canvas trunks that made them famous for their durability. They r super care free, dont lose shape as much. When it rains, it always looks great.
I was watching a video the other day about how designer brands do their own repair (kinda like a lifetime guaranty??) And that if you ever send it to someone else for repair you've basically fucked the authenticity of the bag?
When you made the new tag that said "made in Spain", you used a lowercase "M" in the word "made", but then capitalized the "I" in the word "in". It looked weird to me, so I looked it up. Vuitton uses a lowercase "M", lowercase "I", then the name of the country of manufacture is capitalized. God is in the details.
The video also shows different cuts of different versions of that tag. One was made where the stitching was far too close to the text then it cuts to one that has a larger gap. 🤷🏽♂️
And the tags on authentic LV are heat stamped...not laser printed. So the finish effect is slightly different. Not the same. The spacing of the fonts is all wrong. The position of ® looks right. However its size is all wrong. Tq
