Russell Howard is definitely worth a watch
@@JD-eo7dr no. He definitely is not.
Jimmy Carr Vs hecklers.
@@JD-eo7dr No he isn't his comedy is woke and bias now.
Basically everyone in the UK knows who Jimmy Carr is, so if you go to one of his gigs, you know what you're in for.
None of these though were, in my opinion, his most offensive joke. The "If only Africa had more mosquito nets..." joke is just.... O_O ... On another level of darkness.
Dun dun dun..........
It really is his best
His safety in numbers joke is a good one too.
I like the title of his romantic novel about a boy that meets a girl and in the end they end up together.
These were... just regular Jimmy Carr jokes. No twin towers, no mosquito nets or anything.
Given his reaction, these jokes were lost on him
Most of them. The rest just scared him.
Lol,agree
Yeah, right over his head. Especially palliative care one
Well what do you expect? Yanks just don’t get British humour… the amount of British comedy shows they’ve tried to copy and completely ruined.
tbf some of these were kinda inside jokes, like the gary glitter one
"The problem with glitter is ,it gets everywhere. No wonder Gary got caught." - Sean Lock
I just got my first taste of Sean Lock, he was pretty good!
@@midwestamericans3806 Give 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown a try sometime. You'll thank me later.
His most offensive joke wasn’t in this video. He once was talking about the horrors of malaria in sub-Saharan Africa and said that for only a few £ a day we could save millions of mosquitoes from dying needlessly of AIDS. Legend
That’s because that jokes wasn’t ever used in a tour. It was on a panel show in America
Yep. It was the greenroom. A shame that every video with a British or European comic, someone feels the need to come on and say this is child’s play. The reference to an American show as an example makes it that much better
@@MysticWig oh I’m sorry. I missed the part where the title said “most offensive jokes from specials and tours”. Honest mistake.
Also @QuickLobster, let’s turn the Xenophobia down a touch, eh?
@@sick0em0more0 it doesn’t say that but you will notice all the clips are from tours now back to bed and get up on the right side ay?
@@MysticWigchill a bit. I was just adding in another joke to the conversation. You come in with your smart-assery “but that wasn’t a special!” Now cracking cheap, passively aggressive insults? Let’s have a bit of decorum shall we?
You must watch Jimmy Carr responding to hecklers. He is SAVAGE!
One of the great things about him is that he can appear on TV on talk shows and comedy panel shows and adjust his humour to the accepted level.
Gary Glitter made some great songs in the 70's
And then we found out about his Jimmy Saville-esq "dark side" !!
When Gary asked “wanna be in my gang” Jimmy was the only one who said yes.
I saw him live in the 80s Still feel weird bad as I enjoyed his show as was a great show man though so was Jimmy Saville
@@chrislawley6801 Yeah, I get you, but no need to feel weird. I'm sure you know the saying _not all superheroes where capes,_ well not all monsters have fangs either unfortunately.
he was leader of the gang
@@totallybored5526 I don’t know. I think Rolf Harris signed up as well.
It’s almost criminal that his mosquito nets joke wasn’t part of the compilation.
The Shannon Matthews joke was a killer as well, but too much background needed for Non-Brits :) Tramadol nights stand up routine was epic :)
Oh yeah that is buy far his best joke
@@manu-tonyo9654 Pretty sure it's mostly gotten by africans
@@SomeUnsoberIdiot WTF is that supposed to mean?
I think he's best is dealing with hecklers. "If you want my comeback you'll have to scrape it off your mum's teeth". Best ever
Can I just say, as a British person to an American, good job on your start. It's clear you realise the Earth is NOT flat. That's always a plus for me when watching a Yank video ;)
Thanks!
😂 Oh lord has the world view of Americans gotten that bad!?!
You kind of need to check out Russell Howard’s cancer boys funeral. Despite to title, it is very funny and definitely worth watching.
Yep watch that clip, fantastically funny and heart-warming
That’s genuinely one of the funniest clips I’ve watched, and I’m not really a fan of his but my god that was funny and heartwarming in equal measures
Frankie boyles "children's hospital" bit
He's sill doing well, penis-costume lad
ah lovely!
Hey!! I’m from England and love your videos. I’ve just recently subscribed to you but I’ve binge watched all of your videos! I love watching Americans react to British things or even trying out our food! Thankyou for keeping me entertained and I can’t wait to see what you do in the future❤️
Loving the comedy reacts, some of the other us vs uk channels have missed this area and its such a good one. Loving them.
I wanted to say I appreciate your open interest in culture/history/and general info about other cultures, since you seem truly interested, open-hearted and sincere. You seem like a genuinely nice person, which is wonderful to watch since your reactions are open and honest and never unkind simply if you don't understand a culture's specific likings Just a shout out to being who you are.
This guy is so funny, watching him not understand Jimmy Carr's jokes was almost as good to watch as Jimmy himself
'Treat them mean keep them keen' is an expression to keep the opposite party interested in you when dating. Dont be available everytime they call/want to go out etc.
Loved the Starbucks joke - if you didn’t know, both Starbucks and Jimmy have been caught avoiding not paying tax
They weren't not caught avoiding not paying taxn't.
I just discovered you lastnight, I love the fact you like our British comedians. Subbed!
Loving the channel mate
I went to see Jimmy Carr live a couple of times ages ago. I'd forgotten how extreme he was!
The Starbucks reference is about the tax avoidance scandal he was tied up with.
The Other Jimmy refers to Jimmy Saville, a prolific sex offender who was only publicly acknowledged after his death. He was a tv presenter, and was entrusted as a volunteer assistant in mental hospitals, prisons, hospices, mortuaries, children's homes, etc. We can only guess what went on.
Necrophilia is fine it's just the smell afterwards.
So I've head.
“It is true, it just happens to be about a different Jimmy”
Reactor: vacant!
Yeah... Right over top of his head
Don’t know why he bothered, 99% of Jimmys jokes went straight over his head. The bit about hoping Gar Glitter wasn’t a paedophile killed me 😂
"I feel like, to be a really good comedian, you have to test the boundary"
This boy aint prepared for jimmy carr if he thinks he's just gonna test the boundary!
If you’re looking for great British comedy, I recommend The Inbetweeners (that would be great for a reaction video, too!) and Taskmaster (the funniest show ever, imo. It’s seriously so good and very British)
I like Jimmy Carr , and my estimation of him went up when he admitted that what he did was iffy and was prepared to take the blame for this tax error .
Not to mention paid all the taxes back that he didn’t pay in the first place 👍🏻
I was investigating a professional (something I do for clients) and stumbled on the tax avoidance scheme that Jimmy Carr used (not his idea - his accountant's). It's a perfectly legal scheme - it's avoidance, not evasion. What I did find out is that not only is the scheme still running but I had nine pages of names investing in it - and about every fourth one was a name I recognised.
David Cameron (son of a tax evader) named Jimmy Carr in Parliament because he was an easy target...and he hadn't done anything illegal. Just like all the other people I'd found - politicians, footballers, media stars etc that were investing in something legal (but clearly shouldn't be).
To his credit...Jimmy paid up the tax he'd saved by doing something legal - none of the hundreds of other people did. Such as Arsene Wenger.
But my ire is really aimed at David Cameron - such a hypocritical move to name an individual, especially since he was raised on the proceeds of tax evasion.
Brit humor is often 'black & ironic'
Euros love Brit humor, we do also understand the innuendos regarding politics, music, history etc...
- and none of us suffer 'under being politically correct'
p.s. watch Dara O'Briain
- love from Denmark 💕🌸🌱
Dunno about that Frankie boyle is banned from the bbc because of his jokes
Frankie Boyle's most offensive jokes are on another level.
Try Tramadol Nights for offensive.
I love the way you kinda get his humour. Was great to see your reaction! As a Brit, I love how you love our comedy.
On a side note, how do you feel about the US version of the Inbetweeners? I think the US ruined it. But the Office was a pretty good however. And as for Superstore, haven't laughed so much in ages!
I do recommend Frday Night Dinner btw..
This is a truly amazing compilation of JC, I love him, check out some of his other stuff.
Russell Howard and Michael McIntyre are my favourite British comedians hands down!
the age to buy cigarettes in the UK is now 18 and look 21 with no ID
Thanks for sharing.
it's 25 now for ID
@@mackemsruleFTM no its not
google it if you dont know
You must be over 18 to buy cigarettes in the UK. If you're under 16 the police have the right to confiscate your cigarettes. It's illegal: for shops to sell you cigarettes if you are underage.
if you look under 21 for cigarettes you need ID if you look under 25 you need ID for alcohol
@@chelseacorbett694 I work in Asda and it's if you look under 25 across the board, Knives, booze, alcohol they changed it last year sometime. our local council are doing test purchases at the min so they have loads of posters up about it at work
@@chelseacorbett694 it is look 25+ with ID and without. But mainly with ID
I love Jimmy Carr! He gets so close to the bone, I would say that some of those jokes were not his most offensive. He is definately one of the best at comebacks from heckles in the audience
If you are looking at British comedians I would recommend Al Murray specifically the nations of the world or Al Murray vs Americans videos he’s quite funny and has some great audience interactions
Also Rowan Atkinson stand up..
Great watch, hi, from England !!
I'd definitely recommend checking out Sarah Millican & Russell Howard, another couple of great ones & a lot of their stuff is available on their own youtube channels too.
100% agree with this, Sarah Millican is a delight. I also adore Chris Ramsay.
@@Randomner2562 I agree, would love to see a review of Sarah's muckiest jokes. Shes a hoot!
Totally agree to the hills with this. Sarah Millican is a female version of Richard Pryor...raw, unfiltered, honest and very very funny.
Frankie Boyle! (I'd recommend an offensive compilation of his like this, there's a few of them, especially his mock the week ones tho)
Frankie Boyle on Mock the Week was absolutely legendary.
I feel like Americans wouldn’t get Frankie Boyle’s vibe
Frankies audience annihilation are amazing.
You should see him on a 6 episode series he had called Tramadol Nights.
Especially the first 2 episodes.
Jim Carr is hilarious. He is also a master of dealing with hecklers. I think you should react to one of those videos.
Jimmy Carr is my favourite comedian. Peak british humor.
I'd reccomend Frankie Boyle, Russell Howard, Tommy Tiernan and Michael Macintyre.
Also the tv series QI XL, and Taskmaster. Both on RUclips.
Innocent is correct! You totally didn’t get the ‘other Jim’ joke :)
I love seeing Americans try react to Jimmy Carr (or other Brit comedians) because they really don’t get half of the jokes.
Oh I recommend any Monty python sketches and watch life of Brian think you’ll love that film!!!!
You can tell Americans don't pay attention to world news when a comedian refers to heinous criminals outside the US (Savile, Fritzl, Glitter) and he sits there like 'yeah, ok then'.
The reason he said that Starbucks was his favourite coffee shop is they are famous for not paying tax
And our Jimmy was in a tax avoidance scheme in which he dodged paying around £12 million in tax, it was a legal scheme but when the story broke here he ended paying the tax that he should have in the first place
... i would say.. there is a other conection
@@matsv201 what’s that?
I think the hospice joke went over your head; he didn't go.
It alluded to Jimmy Saville.
😣
Seems to me that not very many Americans have the slightest idea who Savile was
@@ryansheehan9462 why would they
You should watch him vs hecklers. He is so savage with them
I'm not sure if you missed the punchline on the pallative care joke Ethan but when he said it's a true story it just happened to another Jimmy he was aiming it at Jimmy Saville lol, I'm sure you know by now Gary Glitter was another predator around the same era as Saville.
"A woman's work is never done!" And they still keep banging on about not getting equal pay.
Something which he also does which is great, is heckling comebacks. Jimmy Carr is phenomenal at those.
Sad to say that Jimmy Saville and Gary Glitter were actually found guilty. Nonetheless always nice to see you laugh at comedy and see what you find funny man. Love the channel
Glitter was indeed found Guilty, Saville was not as he was dead when it all hit the fan.
@@gonzo3915 true but the evidence was scarily overwhelming
@@leonwalker8694 Not quite mate... sad to say means that he hopes it was just jokes and they weren't actually guilty but I'm sad to ruin his day by saying that the people Jimmy Carr is talking about did actually commit those crimes
@@leonwalker8694 nah it's grand, I followed the cases. I'm too young to know Jim will fix it or any of Gary Glitter's music but they were certainly household names, here in England, before the shit came out. There are probably a lot of other celebrities in the same situation who are shitting themselves right now because the truth is coming out
Savile !
You should react to Sarah Millican and Lee Evans, they're amazing!
Jimmy Carr used to push boundaries……………………………but then he crossed the boundary!😂
Oh the Fritzl one is….wow….😂😂😂
Good response video.
also Fritzel (Fritzle?) built a secret bunker/entire set of rooms including kitchenette and bathroom for hiding his daughter in as his slave for most of her life til early twenties, and had several children with her. The joke is funny only because the damn place was behind a bookcase, with a false one foot thick wall, then a small walkway to another sealed vault door, then another and finally the rooms...so tight he pumped ventilation in and no one upstairs ever noticed he was doing more than building an extra tiny room in his basement.
THE JIMMY ONE HAHAHA
0:08 “oh wow!” Yep, Jimmy Carr can cause that. I’m thinking this one will be fun.
The UK is obviously another world to the viewer, who didn't get the jokes. I think these jokes were actually quite gentle for Jimmy Carr.
Lmao! Funny af
“There’s safety in numbers. Really? Tell that to the Jews”
- Jimmy Carr
Jimmy Carr has written a book on the science of laughter.
U should react to billy connely and Kevin bridges. U will laugh like u never have lol x
please react to avocado bathroom and it's not brain surgery and heroin Christmas by that mitchell and webb look. keep up the great vids. love from the UK
#9 got him lmao 🤣
there is a video of a Jim Davidsons show called sinderlla where the are in a adult panto pissed i have seen it 20 times and every time it makes me cry laughing its the funniest thing I've seen for years
The Starbucks comment was a reference to tax fraud lol
The Starbucks thing was because of Jimmy avoiding taxes 🤣
Cant wait to say i was part of the first 10k people to sub to this channel. This guys gonna go far
Thank you so much for the support.
You’ve gotta watch Russell Brand explaining the VMA speech 😂
Jimmy Carr is hilarious ... and offensive lol
You should do a react to him roasting the audience.
The jimmy Carr mosquito aids joke is brilliant
Aww the mosquito net joke wasn't there
Lov jimmy carr jokes
I think rather than buying a subscriber a ticket to the US, you should come to the UK instead.
I will do a poll as we get closer to see what the subs want. Either way I am gunna give back for the 50k. Maybe sooner if I can.
great video, you should react to the history of japan video from bill wurtz
That clip missed his most offensive joke, the one about there being safety in numbers.
Try his response to hecklers, he's a master of spontaneous repartee!
Jimmy Carr is the best Comedian in England, if not the World! American comedy doesn't even come close!
you should watch some of our panel shows such as 8 out of 10 cats do countdown, would i lie to you and mock of the week. Those are the main ones but there is also taskmaster which is a masterpiece, hypothetical which is good and QI i think you'd like them
Micky Flanagan is fantastic. 👍
Woooooosh
4:40 Wait...So you can legally buy a gun 3 years before you can legally buy cigarettes?
Jimmy carr, the warm up act for frankie boyle
Shows how old this clip is now. They raised the age to buy cigarettes to 18 back in 2007
Ahh didn't have the mosquito net one...
Nowadays those jokes won't fly but that's life. Also, Russell Howard is a good comedian
Carr is still around.
Stanley knife is a box cutter. It's a generic term for all those thin blade knives for carpets etc. They are made by Stanley tools...which I thought was American?
The guy with the blank expression on his face was being tested to see his boundaries as he was the most tolerant to the dark jokes
See 8 out of 10 cats countdown which he hosts. F’ing hilarious because of guests who can match him line for, line
He didn’t do the palliative teenager hospice visit. It was a joke!
Hey, this YT game looks a whole lotta fun and I'd like to get in on it. I have zero talent or originality. Just a webcam and a face. What type of content would you recommend me to create?
You should react to a load of lee Evans stuff cause he’s hilarious
I forgot how funny jimmy car is
You should do a Frankie Boyle most offensive vid, it's a whole other level
You should give Billy Connolly, Frankie Boyle and Kevin Bridges a watch. The piece by Billy Connolly about the terrorist attack on Glasgow airport is one of the best laughs ever.
16 is the legal age for drinking and smoking in the UK but 18 is the legal age for buying over the counter.
14:54 - no, he was talking about Jimmy Savile. Look him up.
Jimmy Carr is my Fav comedian
