    first of all, this made me cry

      As far back as at least the Roman Empire sports were used to placate the masses, probably earlier. This can easily devolve into a discussion about should the masses be controlled and by who. Politicians, religious leaders, dictators, (benevolent or otherwise) etc etc. Myself personally I dislike the fact that I am controlled, but perhaps I don't have the wisdom to understand the necessity of it.

    As a self-declared scientist, and someone who loves science with a roaring passion, this video was amazing. I was almost in tears watching our breathing earth, and scaling into see the dna and molecules. This is the kind of stuff we need to show people in order to help them understand how BEAUTIFUL our planet and our universe are. How insanely amazing life is, and how much people are missing by not just sitting back and thinking about whats going on around them from time to time. Amazing video.

    I'm a big fan of Louie Schwartberg"s work. I've watched Moving Art repeatedly. Unnusual nature shots accompanied by marvelous musical soundtracks are almost hypnotic. His use of drone camera footage is especially innovative and will certainly be imitated in the future.
    Having said that, I must point out that some of the drone work is immoral and possibly criminal. Specifically drones forcing animals to stampede. In "Machu Picchu", a drone stampedes a herd of alpacas. In "Hokkaido", a herd of Japanese deer. In "Marquesas Islands", horses. It makes for a great shot, exciting and powerful. Yet it unneccessarily endangers the herd.
    Stampeding animals is not only stressful to the beasts, but may separate mothers from their young. Stampeding may cause injury to those that fall, breaking their legs or causing them to be trampled by the herd. It's illegal to stampede a herd of animals in the United States, and if Mr. Schwartberg's drone pilots had stampeded say - a herd of bison at Yellowstone, Rangers would have arrested them.

    Its not entirely true that we are blind to the slower paces in life. Some of us simply may lack the mental ingenuity, or patience to extrapolate the past events in a landscape, and extrapolate them to the present.
    I ask you, have you ever seen a dead, and fallen over tree that has been nearly covered with bittersweet, and worked the possible scene backward to a point wear the vines weren't there, and the tree was still standing, and alive? Or a halo of lichen on a rock, that began as a tiny colony, and spread outward over decades, while the central, older part of the colony died and faded away as it was weather beaten?
    All of nature is beautiful. We just don't always know how, or when to appreciate it.

    This was unexpectedly amazing--very profound thoughts about the way we look at our world. This man rejuvenates my thirst to understand, to take a better look at reality so that we may change it for the better.
    As Camus put it, "Man is the only creature who refuses to be what he is." All I desire in this life is for us to face the truths of our reality and our humanity for all that it is--the good and the bad. I talk about philosophical and societal topics that help us improve as people. May we never stop progressing, and may we always learn from each other. That is all, no more no less. Good day to you all! :) This life is a gift, and death, for now, is a promise.

      Your comment is nothing more than the teleological argument for the existence of the fairy-tale God. A child can use a similar argument to claim that Santa Claus exists because presents were found under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning.

      @@gordonsirek9001 Why are you atheists always get triggered after seeing 'GOD' mentioned somewhere?
      After seeing all that in the video above and you still disprove existence of a creator then I'd say that the so called 'teleological argument' here is yours.
      Have a great day! May God have mercy on you

    • @raz0229
      @raz0229 5 лет назад

      @@gordonsirek9001 Very well! What do you think about our orderly fashioned universe and what is beyond? Our planet, environmental and cosmic order around us. How are we perfectly put in a region where life can exist? How aren't we able to see any other civilization yet or how not they've reached us? Everything from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet proves the signs of God.
      I'd suggest you to watch the video below, ans let all the stubbornness leave your heart and think for a while

      @@raz0229 You are just regurgitating the teleological argument for the existence of the fairy-tale God. As I previously stated, a child can use a similar argument for the existence of the fairy-tale Santa Claus because of the presents found under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. This is an argument from ignorance. The Christian creed is: "I don't know, therefore the fairy-tale God did it."
