There is a lot of lens dependence. It is not simply working or not working. For many old Canon EF lenses AF of 7artisan is sluggish and hunting a lot and often fails. But it works well for some particular combinations of lens and camera. So you should try and check if your combination is lucky.
finally, somebody mentioning that autofocus in video mode works with sigma lenses! Great job a lot of good information, not just a lot of words. Have a good one.
7Artisans was a better adapter until the latest Sony 5.0 firmware update on the FX30. AF and IRIS worked perfectly with Sigma and Canon lenses... then the update happened and now nothing works. Still if you haven't updated your Sony firmware the 7Artisans is a better and cheaper option.
Just got it today, can't believe that all my Canon and Sigma EF glass now has eye and face detect in video mode on my FX30 with only a little bit of hunting noise. According to Set Up, Body is on Ver 5.00.

Just a heads up. MC11 doesn't work with EF-S Canon crop lenses.

@@JosiahObregon Sony FX30. Lots of 3rd party lenses and adapters are not working now after the 5.0 update, Sony say not Sony's problem.
@@cameragod1 oh wow, I threw this on my A7IV. Yet to update my FX3.
@@JosiahObregon I'd wait a bit. All my 3rd party lenses have been affected in some way, even my older Sony glass is doing strange things.
Anyone here used a 7artisans? Apparently its better. Wanting to know what AF is like with the 55-250mm efs.

I use 55-250mm with sony zve10 and it work perfectly!

@ that’s dope!! With noise reduction in Davinci you can completely take that out too.
