- This scenario is based on a horror movie that originally came out in 1958, then soon coming out with a remake in 1988. This is most likely the first scenario out there that involves this, hope you enjoy!
This scenario is entirely fictional and is NOT real in any way possible! Hope you enjoy. :)
Note: There are possible **VALID EAS TONES** in this video. I am NOT held responsible for any misuse or any activation's as a result from watching this video

Just a couple things to confirm from what I've seen in the comment section.
~ Yes, I've seen both movies, I'm aware that "The Blob" is weak to the cold. It'll slow it down, but it won't kill it. You could try to escape to Iceland/Antarctica, but there are a lot of flaws to this and humanity wouldn't be able to survive for very long.
~ Immediate Evacuation is the right term for EAS alerts, Evacuation Immediate isn't. Although the code is EVI and it may say that on their website, it's because the SAME standard defines it as Evacuation Immediate, however, scrolls/screens will display it as Immediate Evacuation and the TTS will read it as Immediate Evacuation instead.

If it works just like the Blob in the 88 remake, then humanity might have had a chance of it landed in a little town with relatively few high value victims.
It getting to Denver that fast meant it was going to grow at a runaway pace before anyone even realize what had happened.
Yeah with more Blob entities landing on Earth, it's basically a neutron bomb going off everywhere at once. Makes you wonder if it's an alien bio-weapon meant to scour a planet clean before harvesting resources?

I have a morbid curiosity. And I like seeing the wide dichotomy between mundane but terrible (EF-3 or stronger tornadoes), to the insane but semi-plausible (nuclear war), to the straight up maddening (alien invasion).

and wait we did..
and the end result despite the errors that occured in making the scenario all payed off as a fabulously made and beautifully sinister scenario that i adored. damn good job on making this Radio in all honesty, i can only imagine the gut kicking feeling when the program errors kicked off but know this was an awesome vid! can't wait for the Alien invasion remaster keep up the awesome work!

Not really, the cold won't kill the thing, it'll only slow it down. Humans could try to escape to the Artic to survive but there are many flaws to that and humanity wouldn't be able to survive for very long.
You could possibly argue that they could but like I said, there are many flaws to this, plus it's fictional and pretty fun to think about. :)
But in the movie, they solved it by freezing it, so it would freeze and eventually stop, frozen in its tracks. If humanity survived (Which in all likelihood, they wouldn't, but there's a slight chance.), they would probably be able to go back and try to scrounge the earth, but that's extremely unlikely.
I like how quickly people forget nuclear bombs and Napalm are a thing. Just nuke any blob bigger than a skyscraper, then Fire Bomb the rest.

The blob had one true weakness. Water. Well, if you ignore the story plot.
Amoebas that large are possible, sure. But they wouldn't necessarily move very quickly, though in the case of the Blob, it doesn't have to. What I find odd is the pink cytoplasm. Why pink? Wouldn't crimson be more fitting since that is the color of blood? Also, the elimination of all life wouldn't be technically possible, but life with those things would be rather difficult, even if we had shelters like in Fallout (which those do exist to be fair).
Amy Carter maybe the tests they were doing on it caused it to turn pink? Idk I haven’t seen the movie so I can’t say for sure

Now THIS is a good eas scenario! I’ve seen a lot of good ones but this takes the cake as one of the best. It honestly feels like it actually happened, with how real the screams sound, and how in this situation you can’t do anything about this. Gives me sleep trouble, but that doesn’t matter right now. Outstanding work.

This was the best kind of Mock EAS...there was no hope, no chance...just the end of everything. It's fun to speculate these things.

A very good video, and the first I have seen based off of the "The Blob" movie. Well put-together, and great voice acting. First responders, of course, are the first to go, but I did not expect multiple other blobs impacting across the country, let alone the world. I also liked how your creative liberty has the original mass crash into a school - a well-known, populated area, as opposed to a rural farm - presumably frozen solid from its trip through space, warmed over the next few hours by the resultant fires and ambient temperatures (As far as I know, Colorado is still pretty cold, even in March!)
As for the voice acting, I can almost hear the mortal terror in the reporters' voices before they're consumed, but wonder if the breakdown of their audio feed would affect the content (separate from the transmission cuts) of the video feed: i.e., flipping the logo or mucking up the colors, unless the guy was flailing over the video controls (nice touch making the color corruption magenta, though - it fits nicely with the theme.)
Wow it's definitely an honor to hear that from you! I saw that surprisingly no one has done a scenario on this movie, so I decided to take my own chance at it! I'm hoping to even remaster this in the future, cause I feel like I can make this a lot better with the tools I have now. Thank you very much though!
