i love how this has nothing to do with plagues, scp's, zombies, or anything impossible. this is the one EAS that truly hits me on the spot.
nature is something to love, but be aware of.
to thrive in, but keep tabs on.
when humanity has done nature dirty, nature does them dirty back.
mother earth is sentient, and once triggered, something will go wrong.
this EAS scenario embodies that. thanks for yet another work of art, radioactiveGirl
also, the thumbnail makes it look like mother earth/gaia developed a stand/obscurus like holy shit
One video got me to think of our own bodies as like cars barreling down a highway, constantly manufacturing parts and fixing itself. When you think about it, Mother earth is much the same... Just made up of bigger parts.
Another such video (I'll try to summarize) was about reintroducing wolves into Yellowstone (or Yosemite, some park anyway) and how it, over time, changed the way the rivers flowed and affected wildlife across the park in very surprising ways. (If you ever want to watch it's about 5 or 6 minutes, search "wolves reintroduced national park", so interesting). But obviously that the landscape changed too, is surprising and terrifying.
What if, we as humans, accidentally take something out of the machine or break it in such a way, the whole damn thing comes crashing down? As Aaron Eckhart's character says in the movie 'The Core', "You throw a small wrench into a big engine and you can still stall it.". He was talking about the Core of the earth stopping but the analogy fits, no? But if you ask me, it's one of the most terrifying thoughts possible, right up there with the Carrington event and the implications from that. 😨😨😨 Or worse. What if we've already fucked ourselves?

I love that you put my hometown in here!! No one else mentions the Quad Cities in any other EAS Scenario.
I'm also originally from that part of the country, particularly Davenport. These days, I reside somewhere in the general area of the City Beautiful.

i can confirm that pretty much the entire southwest gets nothing but rain and flash flooding. it’s rare that we see systems that have potential to produce higher forms of severe weather like tornadoes.
These EAS alerts makes my hair stand on end on my arms. It reminds me of April 27, 2011. One of the worst tornado outbreaks I have ever been in so far. I kept hearing EAS alerts all days where I lived. Scary stuff.
It's pretty unlucky when your area is the first mentioned in the scenario, but it's straight-up cursed when it's the catalyst for everything else that happens. Succesfully got me freaked out, that's for sure!!

As an Iowan now watching this I find it REALLY scary that we got a derecho in August of the same year
My area got flooded by Miss Valerie back in 2019! XD Thankfully everything was reversed in November 2.

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect given the thumbnail but after watching Im just thoroughly impressed. Definitely an impressive scenario and imo could’ve been made into something much longer but for a “mini EAS scenario” this was amazing!
Thank you! Honestly in my opinion I thought this was good enough since in the original, not much detail and lore was behind on why it happened, hence why it's only 10-11 minutes. In this however I wanted to add much more detail and backstory to it, even adding new locations and alerts, and I didn't wanna drag it on if that makes sense haha, thank you otherwise!
RadioactiveGirl00 that makes sense. What I meant was you had space to create new lore and new story but for a smaller remaster it was great! I had an idea similar to this but with 3 sentient tornadoes but I never finished the script and it just sits

I love this scenario, and it is one of the best that I have seen. This was my first one where there was voice acting. This was so well done that I like to watch it over and over with friends and family.

That 2910 there near the end is a pretty neat nod to the original, as it was actually set during 2910. So to put it, this is like a prequel to the original, correct me if I'm wrong.

Just immediately, the North Dakota segment was heavily improved upon from Absolute Zero. That was great!
The one that really made me die was when you showed Denver. Just showing a barren wasteland and no audio just killed me. I think it would've been even funnier if the original story creator made Denver the most bipolar place in the country; absolute-zero deep freezes for one moment and then Mercury-surface heat waves across the state the next. That would've really killed me. But nice execution, and the story was well-written!
This is really cool! Along with the green lighting! If that existed, I would look forward to seeing it. Also it might be caused of radioactivity or pollution in the air.

I know this is late, but this was a really great remaster. I love the sense of realism in this scenario mixed with mythology, along with more weather hazards than the original, along with the scene of English mythologies. I have to say that this is better than the original.
