Hi Otto, I need your advice, please help me. I've got DJI pocket 2 camera. What is the best setting/modes for filming sport games? It might be sounds stupid but when I tried to film my son's soccer game I couldn't get any good video. The gimbal rotation is not quick enough to follow the players. Also when you start recording the gimbal tilting kinda down. I have to recenter (double click) the gimbal. I'm curious is there any way you can disable the gamble stabilization so it will stay steady. Thanks.
Hi. Mmm... there is one settings when you swipe on the screen from the bottom, for the gimbal speed. Set it to the fastest. I would also try stepping away if you are too close. Unfortunately there is no sport mode and the gimbal will turn not turn fast enough.

I was about to give up hope but you have given me motivation
Your video tutorials are amazing, Otto. Right to the point and easy to follow. One question I have with regard to ND filters, for which I haven't found an answer yet in the media. If using ND filter and even a variable ND filter, how do you handle brightness changes when following the 180 degree rule? It's all good in an environment with a relatively constant brightness level all around, but walking for example from a bright lit park area suddenly into a shaded area renders the video underexposed. I guess the only option would be to set the ISO from the recommended 100 to a variable value of say 100-800 max.
I am interested to start creating videos and planning to buy DJI Pocket 2 Creative Combo. Your tips and tricks from this video definitely will help and guide me a lot. Thanks! …following your videos 🙂
Very nice tutorial. Thank you. I love the music too in the lost in Miami cinematic footage. I learned so much. May I know a good source to find such nice music for footage?
Great tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing. I am buying pocket 2 this week and taking it to Universal Orlando in a few weeks. Any tips to film a good vlog in Orlando? I hope the battery lasts a long time to film all-day riding rides. Can you do a tutorial setting up pocket 2 for vlogging and modes to use? Would be super helpful. Thanks. Mary
Hello Marienne! Thanks for your feedback! great purchase. I have a few videos for better movements and tips with the Pocket 2 that you might like to watch.... Good idea! I will consider the tutorial for setting up the P2 for vlogging as soon as I finish some videos that are on the pipeline. Oh, the battery is probably not going to last all day long, I suggest that you buy a power bank so you can charge the Pocket 2 during the day.
@@OttoJulian_ Great to hear. Yes the combo comes with the battery bank or something like that. I really want to buy a white one ;) looking forward to your videos about setting it up for vlogging. I never used anything so small and don’t know how to use it. I usually use Sony cameras for videos
Hey thank you so much for your content it's really going to help me create better YT content of my own. I've had the pocket 2 for a while but not really used it after the initial play about with the functions. I think its time I learn how to get the best out of it and after just watching a couple of your videos I now have a few ideas on what to use this little box of magic for. So again Thank You.
This is great I definitely need to get out and use my pocket 2 more often. Been busy doing other things but having a 500$ camera laying around and not being used is just not good.
Thanks! I have plans to make a short video about this. But just so you know, the black bars are there when you make the de-squeeze and the image expands to a more "panoramic" format. You can remove them by zooming in your content but you lose the image part on your sides (not sure if that makes sense). If you don't de-squeeze you won't get the bars either, but some people might notice some things a bit out of proportion (not a big deal when I showed some footage to some people, they couldn't tell)
Hello Peter! yes, you got that right, it will depend on the situation, I've been feeling lately that doing it manually sometimes yields better results because the tracking is not always very consistent and it could make unwanted "movements" or "bumps". Thanks!
Hi Otto! Learned a lot from your videos, thank you. As an amateur in photography and beginner in making videos, I am having trouble grasping F-stops, ISO, and shutter speed relationships and when to change these. I am also confused about when and how to use ND filters, what the 180-degree rule is, and what modes are best for what. I am not only specifically referring to the OSMO Pocket 2, but DSLR cameras too (I use a Nikon Coolpix 900 and a Canon Powershot SX 740). I usually take a lot of nature and travel photos and love to take pictures of animals and birds. I am good (not at your level, but not bad!) from what others tell me, but a lot of the best ones I captured were accidental or lucky! Any tips on resources to help me learn about these features and the best settings to use for what I do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and keep up with the awesome tutorials!
Hi, firstly, thank you for your feedback. Many years ago I was having the same issue. I loved photography but I didn't quite understand the exposure triangle very well or other concepts. Back then I decided to take a few lessons with a photography expert who used to teach about this. I can't remember how much I payed, but that was well spent money back then. I kept learning with this teacher and then I took a few online courses to learn other skills such as using lightroom, etc. Once you learn about those basic concepts, in my experience, it is easier to grasp all the video making experience. There are a few good online courses, I'd look for one that is not overly expensive but also one that has a good reputation and is easy to understand. As a side note, I'm aware that there is some confusion when it comes to usage of ND filters and I'm working on a series of videos that explain that and a few other things related to videography... Hope this helps. If I find anything useful I will share it with you. PS: Have you looked at Domestika.org? I've seen a few nice basic online courses over there and it's not too expensive
Just got the Pocket 2 per your recommendation. Can you recommend a video editing software for a rookie? And where to get audio clips like you have in the background?
great! hope you enjoy it! I think you can try Premiere Rush on the iPad, which for the most part is free (last time I checked anyway). I get my music from this website, but it needs a payed subscription www.epidemicsound.com/referral/gbijmf/ Otherwise, there are a few places where you can get free music. If you are going to post your content on RUclips, they do have a free music library
Otto is always bringing the A game. Nice tips in here sir! "we want to show everything right away..." Otto: "No, no, no.. the viewer must be wooo'd" Okay I paraphrased... but wooo'd is a great word.
What editing software do you use? And do you have a tutorial on it? I have just got the Omso 2 I've had the 1 for a couple of years. Your videos age great...
hello Danny! thanks for your kind feedback! I use Premiere Pro on a PC, but no tutorial on it just yet, I've had plans to make a beginners tutorial but haven't had the time to put it together. hoping I can do that soon
Hey Otto, your videos have been so helpful and awesome. I just wanted to see if you could respond or correct the link for the ND/wide angle pack. The link also shows that it isn’t compatible with the pocket 2, not sure if that matters but I am unable to find the correct bundles. Thanks!
hello Rocco! thanks for the feedback. Indeed those links are pointing at the wrong product because they are out of stock (Amazon points at a similar product when that happens). I was told by Freewell that they are currently out of stock, I think I will just place a note next to the links so anyone clicking on them gets a quick warning.
When you have to drive far to take your video it would be good idea to take multiple rounds of the same shot and using multiple devices. Some device just take better pictures/video at certain location/scenery than others.
That's so nice!! IT IS a great little camera! Fun fact: I initially just bought it to make a few videos for the channel, then it was going to be sold. Now it's one of my favorite gadgets
Thank you otto... It is very helpful tips you show in this video... Thank you again... Can you please make a video about how we can take video for instagram storis (vartical) in pocket 2..
Hello Raj! Thank you for watching. So many viewers asking for vertical mode. I will try to include that on a future video, but in a few words, just place the pocket 2 on a horizontal way, the camera will position in vertical mode
Great job Otto. Can you please make a video of pocket 2 on tripod while you facing and talking in front of it? I mean do your entire youtube tutorial videos only with Pocket 2 to see how it captures the lighting and frame as you are doing it face to face.
Just bought my dji pocket 2 combo and watching all your videos. I am starting zero anyway. What can are the best seetings for taking videos? Thank you sir.
Very informative but everyone seems to be putting a link to Amazon to the old pocket . Someone could buy it by mistake. Luckily Amazon say not compatible with pocket 2
hi, thanks for the heads up. Upon inspecting the links, I guess you are referring to the anamorphic and wide lens bundle for the Pocket 2. It seems that they are out of stock and the way Amazon links work is by pointing at something similar. The wide lens with the ND filters are still on sale and available for what I can see, but not even the anamorphic is available
Hello, I use 16:9 most of the times. The mode will depend on what I'm trying to achieve. Generally all lock, or tilt locked. I rarely use FPV. thanks for watching
Otto, you are going to a very beautiful places like city, sceneries and beaches. You have to bring only one extra lens, Wide angle or anamorphic? And why?
hello Yuri. At this moment I would prefer a wide angle if I had to choose just one. I like the effect of the anamorphic lens but right now is not something that I prefer over a regular wide angle lens.
@@MCVlogsHk cool. Do you have any videos yet or are you producing them? What is the channel about? The first time I was recording for a youtube video I had to take some wine 🍷😅
@@OttoJulian_ day in my life , indoor shoots , since there is no one to shoot for me , I would like to buy p2 for motion tracking for indoor !! Can I buy for indoor shoots
Hello Otto, I'm watching your video from Chile, I'm currently working on several professional projects for which I usually use a Sony a6500, most of the things I do are interviews with people on soccer fields (I work with small sports clubs) although With the Sony camera I get good results, I want to start taking panoramic shots of the children training and the field to contextualize the interviews more without having to carry my Weebill S stabilizer, I am thinking of purchasing a Pocket 2 to take these panoramic shots in a way quick and easy to include them in the final assembly. Do you think the difference between the shots from the Sony and the DJI is very noticeable? I want to maintain a professional level and in my mind this idea at least works quite well but I am afraid that the shots will create discordance.
I am assuming that you do some color grading/correction so you might be good with them specially if you are using a flat color profile. I don't know if you know already but the Pocket 3 is out already, and that's the one I would recommend over the Pocket 2, although it's a bit more expensive I feel that the benefits are superior and you will future proof your camera for a few years. ruclips.net/video/s09mo8tqbKY/видео.html
@@OttoJulian_ Yes, I do color grading/correction in Davinci as well as the entire setup, I feel capable of making the colors similar and unifying in that area, but do you think there is a lot of discordance due to the fact that the DJI Pocket shots always they seem to focus everything? Regarding the DJI Pocket 3, yes, I am aware that it came out and I think it is spectacular, but it is expensive in my country and the economy is very bad.

Hi great content ,please share the links to ND filters
they should be working (video description)
Great tips, straight to the point.
Hello Billy!! Thank you !!
Thank Otto.
I ve got a lot to learn 😁
I always ve to think what kind of camerasettings i m gonna use.
you can do it! we can all learn new things! just practice, and have some patience!
Yes and your films will help 😇
I like that statement!! 👌
Brilliant stuff, great video tips for me as a beginner
Thanks for watching Graham
Just got the Pocket 2 per your recommendation. Can you recommend a video editing software for a rookie? And where to get audio clips like you have in the background?
great! hope you enjoy it! I think you can try Premiere Rush on the iPad, which for the most part is free (last time I checked anyway). I get my music from this website, but it needs a payed subscription www.epidemicsound.com/referral/gbijmf/
Otherwise, there are a few places where you can get free music. If you are going to post your content on RUclips, they do have a free music library
Thank you so much Otto! Your content is professional.
I appreciate that! thanks for watching as well!
Otto, I always enjoy your videos. Always great tips that made me addicted to make movies. Thanks!
Hello Dave!! Thank you so much for such a nice comment/feedback! Really appreciated.
Hello Otto! I am learning a lot from your videos!!! Thanks a lot!
You are welcome Simón
Otto is always bringing the A game. Nice tips in here sir!
"we want to show everything right away..."
Otto: "No, no, no.. the viewer must be wooo'd"
Okay I paraphrased... but wooo'd is a great word.
Lol 😆🤣😂😹
I was told by Freewell that they are currently out of stock, I think I will just place a note next to the links so anyone clicking on them gets a quick warning.
... and I made it to the part III as well :)) Super 😀👍🏻
Excellent!!! Thanks for watching!!
Outstanding tips Otto. Thank you!
You are welcome
Your videos are very helpful. plz make more learning videos about DJI Pocket 2 and video editing.
thank you so much! I will work on it
When you have to drive far to take your video it would be good idea to take multiple rounds of the same shot and using multiple devices. Some device just take better pictures/video at certain location/scenery than others.
True! Thanks for sharing the tip
Good day Sir which application you using by editing videos
Thanks for notifying
Hi, premiere pro
Hi! Will these ND filters work with the wide angle lens that comes with the pocket osmo creator combo? Thanks! 🙏🏻💕
I don't think so, but you can't buy the little ND filters that I used on this video by themselves, they come with the wide angle lens.
Nice Detailed info on pocket 2 Otto 👍great really like it am using the same few weeks now it’s great little camera.
@@OttoJulian_ thank you otto... Thanks a lot for your help... I hope yoy make more amazing videos regarding pocket 2..
Will do! Thanks for your support
Great job Otto. Can you please make a video of pocket 2 on tripod while you facing and talking in front of it? I mean do your entire youtube tutorial videos only with Pocket 2 to see how it captures the lighting and frame as you are doing it face to face.
You are welcome!!
Mustafa, I'll try to do something like that, maybe not the whole video, but just a part so you can have an idea
@@OttoJulian_ Awesome. God bless you man!

@@OttoJulian_ oh ok thank u for reply
Wide medium and close up,, remember that okay? 👍 thanks for this
Yeap! Thanks !
@@OttoJulian_ btw, i do round and forward shot hyperlapse
@@themattprincebro I love hyperlapses but sometimes get a bit lazy to do them 😅
When filming a walking shot, how do we avoid the wablling or bumping motion as we walk?
you need to walk like a "ninja", smoother steps, instead of walking as you normally do
Thank you so very much. You are teaching me a great deal.
Hello Anita! You are welcome!!
I discover your channel ! Great work !!!! What format do you use in this videos? 3: 4 or 16: 9?and Which mode is generally used? Fpv or other ?
Hello, I use 16:9 most of the times. The mode will depend on what I'm trying to achieve. Generally all lock, or tilt locked. I rarely use FPV. thanks for watching
Otto, you are going to a very beautiful places like city, sceneries and beaches. You have to bring only one extra lens, Wide angle or anamorphic? And why?
hello Yuri. At this moment I would prefer a wide angle if I had to choose just one. I like the effect of the anamorphic lens but right now is not something that I prefer over a regular wide angle lens.
Omg this is a great vid with great tips! Thank you!
Hi there! You are welcome!!
Excelente Otto ! Muchas Gracias!

@@MCVlogsHk cool. Do you have any videos yet or are you producing them? What is the channel about? The first time I was recording for a youtube video I had to take some wine 🍷😅
How about for indoor videos as a A DIML , is it worth buying for indoor ??
What is a DIML?
@@OttoJulian_ day in my life , indoor shoots , since there is no one to shoot for me , I would like to buy p2 for motion tracking for indoor !! Can I buy for indoor shoots
@@MounikaDiclasse yeah it will work fine unless it's too dark inside.
Another Dji pocket 2 video Otto, excellent. Subbed
Hey there!! Thank you!!
Hi I bought Freewell Budget Kit way back. Can I stack the wide angle lens?
I don't think you can stack this wide filter from freewell
hello! can u show us a video, how do u desqueeze the anamorphic video in post production. thx, greets

@@OttoJulian_ yes please
Very detailed and informative! 😊😊
I'm glad that you found it useful Madel!
Your broll is awesome mr.Otto!
Thank you Danemarc!! 😊
Otto I love all ur videos thanks for ur tips
thank you Willy, so nice of you!
Thanks for this helpful tutorial...I can now create better video for my channel. Will definitely watch the other vids
