    68 yrs old and handicapped and on SS only. Recently had to move in with one of my sons due to financial issues.
    Ended up having to get rid of most of my guns. Decided to keep my Glocks, 2 AR15's and a 20ga pump shotgun.
    My edc has been my Glock 26 for several years. About 4 months ago I picked up a PSA Dagger. ($255+tax and shipping)
    I've put 400 rds through it. 6 different brands/4 different defensive rds, "0" malfunctions.
    My Dagger is my current edc.
    I am VERY pleased with it.
    In my opinion, PSA is Really "Takin Care of Business"!!
    Putting quality firearms in the hands of Average American Citizens at an affordable price!
    I couldn't be happier with PSA!

    My first civilian carry gun was a First Gen Shield. Over the years I've tried over and over to replace the Shield platform, to find something I shot and carried better including the Mossberg MC2C, M&P Compact 2.0, P365, P365X, Hellcat Pro, Taurus G3C, CZP10S. No complaints on any of them and carry them from time to time but I simply shoot the Shield platform the best. I don't know if it's the grip, the size, the weight, but I just shoot it better. I've owned several versions of the Shield and my EDC is a Shield Plus with a Shield 2.0 PC Slide and ported barrel and a 10 round mag with a +3 Magguts in a Vedder LightTuck IWB or DeSantis Mini-slilde leather OWB... the best carry configuration I've ever had.

    Striker indicater is pulling water into the striker assymbly on the canik. A striker indicater is a bad design option and unnecessary in my opinion. The striker tube is the weak point in striker fire guns. If the tube is a super close fitting, any water or oil can cause it to stop due to Hydrolic pressure. Having a sticker indicater is practically inviting this issue to happen.
    When you mentioned rain being an issue for one gun, I predicted that canik being the one to have an issue.
    PS as a guy with small hands I really appreciate your viewpoint about grip size and feel.

    No Hellcat Pro? For a holster carry gun, it may be the perfect package. Even some of it's perceived negatives may really be positive for carry. For instance, it has a heavier trigger bread than some other guns. But these aren't range toys. A heavier break makes the gun safer.

    This channel is one of the best. All good guns, but carryability comfort is most important for EDC if there is decent shootability. length of grip is important, I carry IWB at 4oclock..Sig Macro too long on the grip, as are many of the so called EDC guns. Largest grip length Ill go with is G19 and SW 2.0 compact, that includes G43X and 48, but for grip length and concealability I prefer P363XL and shield plus for shootability and comfort in all types of clothing. I shoot them all pretty much the same for self defense shooting. Id like to see more content on carryability from all places rather than target shooting.

    Put an Icarus grip module, a Sharps grip module, or Mischief Machine grip module on your 365 and that's probably all you will carry... The slimmest option is Icarus and has the most pleasing aesthetics. The Evo grip is top choice with the palm swell. Price and width is where these aluminum frames differ as well as the Icarus and Sharps having gas pedals on both sides. Icarus and Mischief have a variety of options compared to Sharps, Sharps is the most affordable and has G10 grips that are interchangeable similar to Mischief. In my opinion, these are the best options as far as aftermarket grip modules for the 365.

      Daniel, do a close inspection of your trigger bar. And areas of the frame where the bar may be getting pressure against it.
      Work the trigger with a firm grip on the frame as you would when you're shooting. And see if it's (the bar) making contact against the frame. As well as watch the rear where it would be engaging with the sear.
      I have a theory, but until I have somebody that can test it, I hesitate to call it any more than a theory. I'm wondering if the grip frame is too thin, to accommodate the normal sized mag. I'm wondering... if we squeeze these things too hard that it may put pressure against that bar.

      Just sent one back to S&W with that sight setup. You get tritium front and rear on them, so it’s 3 vials across the sight picture. Just make sure you see all 3 glowing before you sign for that particular firearm. I replaced the front under warranty and I think it was pushed into place with a hydraulic press at the factory.

    I love the 43x, but I can’t knock the 26 out of position as my number one though. I’ve started carrying full size or compact larger pistols as well, AIWB with keel principle works for me. Walther Pdp compact 5” is my longest I can comfortably carry. Shield plus is awesome, while the trigger is great I don’t like how sensitive the slide lock is on mine.

      Surprise twist: it wasn’t the rain. A lot of MC9 owners have been complaining about the same issues. Century is shipping out new recoil springs on the regular the last few weeks or so. Heck, the indoor range rental I shot was doing it too.
      It’s a cool gun and I might pick one up after we’re sure they’ve worked out the kinks, but I don’t have time to beta test a gun I paid for.

      @@Canes-kh5bqI spent a lot of time researching this gun and from what I’ve been finding out, if you talk about your Canik online you’ve got about a 25% chance of an MC9 having the OOB issue, and it’s showing up for some users anywhere between 500 and 1,000 rounds. If I had to guess, they got some springs with metallurgical issues.

    • @pantygnome
      @pantygnome Год назад +2

      Yeah the MC9 issues are not from rain. There might be ANOTHE issue with rain, but plenty of issues have popped up with indoor range use only.

    • @Canes-kh5bq
      @Canes-kh5bq Год назад +1

      I was nervous about the canik because I’ve had a few issues with malfunctions before with them. I accept it because they use to be essentially a budget gun not something I would bet my family’s life on. But fun at the range and fora Stryker gun they have a pretty good trigger. But I have been looking for a every day carry gun that I can shoot well and don’t mind putting a few hundred rounds through it. I was carrying the 365xl but the grip was just to skinny for me and the barrel was a little long for the type of work I do in order to always be carrying I need something with as short of a slide as possible. I was hopi g that CZ would make a micro gun with the standard p10 trigger in it but it just never happens so I got the mc9 thinking it would probably be something I would end up selling. But man this thing has ran like a top for me. And it feels good in the hand with a direct mount dot and a pretty good trigger I have been surprised and it’s now my everyday. The trigger is not quite p10 level but it’s damn good. I have somewhere around 1300-1600 rounds through it now mostly freedom reman stuff. Not one Single hiccup. I’d still get a p10 if it was the real p10 trigger not the p10m version and it would have to be at least 12 rd capacity. But until then I’m super happy with this thing.

    Have to disagree and that's why we live in the world of great choices.
    I had the Shield Plus, and the 43X, and an LC9, and shot the 365xl (not the crazy expensive scomp). The Reflex is far and away my favorite of the bunch. It's honestly not even close for me.
    One that isn't here is the GX4 Carry model. It's also excellent and punches way above the 375 price tag... it's phenomenal at 500 bucks.

    My EDC for years has been an M&P40c with zero issues. A few years ago I decided to try a 9mm so I purchased a Sig P365 on the advice of a few friends and on the third clip my trigger went DEAD. It was fixed and I traded it the same day I received it back. So I purchased a Performance Center M&P Shield Plus. By far it is superior to Glock and others I have shot at the range. Isn’t Canik having failure to feed problems?
