This was a comprehensive review of the freeze dryer, thank you. Your boys are good eaters so I expect the freeze dryer will pay for itself to feed them on their outdoor adventures.; the meals would be good to take and store at the cabin too. Congratulations on the twins, what a wonderful blessing to your family. We all look forward to being there watching this season of your life. ❤😊

Lauren, what a great video, I think you covered absolutely everything anyone would want to know about a Freeze Dryer!
If I had the chance to raise my kids again, I would definitely purchase one, your video is that good!
I too think that the little hike out to the river was a great way to test out the food & any of the questions you have had!
I believe this video will get many views from all different areas on RUclips...Great Information!!!

I'm really glad you showed how the food did when adding water back to it. I was wondering how many ounces would fit into a bag because I was thinking it just didn't look like enough for a meal at least not for one of my family members lol. So very interesting! I also saw someone cut up ice cream sandwiches and freeze dry them....she said it was delicious. Wow now I just have to figure out how to afford one! Love your sweet family and so looking forward to meeting those baby girls....still can hardly believe it all!!!

I have been freeze drying for 3 years. I found you should always start out with less water when rehydrating your food. Slowing add more if you need it. The store bought takes to much water and then you have to pour some wster out in the end.

If my husband is able to get healthy enough to travel, this would be great for a camper. It would make less trips to the store and save on eating out. Where do you get the special bags? What kind of oil does the pump use? Just a few questions. Thanks again to the Hamm family.😊

I would take mire bags if food then needed it so light uts ez to pack in n pack out . I don't think I'm an eye eatter especially when camping I'm just hungery😂
