I'm loving this series. This is one of the ways I worked to improve my own skills around a decade ago. Watch the best fighters and figure out how to be more like them. Artur Kyshenko was probably the guy I got the most from in terms of how my technique, attacks, defense look.
I hope everyone enjoys the Buakaw episode.
Hope we will have an episode a out this man too.
Thx a lot for the content !
Impressive breakdown as always. Looking forward to the Izzy vid.
can you do a video on calf kicks?
You are a class act and a great champion Gab
Awesome!Thanks!
What makes Gabriel Varga so good? ❤️❤️
His defense, fighting smart and his box combos, IMHO.
@@henrikeriksson9234 or maybe is for his beautiful haircut?
Technical af, ability to stick to gameplan, and thicc necc
Man , look at all those belts in the background, lol. Gabriel is a living legend. Head down to his gym everyone!!!
He’s def a “thinking” fighter. I think we see a lot of fighters get really far on training and repetition. But I think Gabriel is a cerebral fighter and genuine strategist.
Buakaw was my favorite fighter back in k1 max in 2006 to 2010. I started muay thai because of him.
Buakaw is a dedicated hard worker.
Except for when Saenchai is leading him astray🤪
@@MERVILLE3 Saenchai is an influential character for sure...
still he cant beat sanda and neither can saenchei hahaha
@@hungniirulfur920 Kungpoop is falsified, dumbazz. Even the Chinese unmasked it themselves. Your |diot sanda just stea|s from Muay Thai and rebranded as Kungpoop. Your'e b|ind to |ick their ba||s.
buakaw is the greatest fighter i've ever had the opportunity to watch,
Pls do Giorgio Petrosyan breakdown. It would be pretty interesting.
Buakaw also has underrated boxing technique. His combination of western boxing and Thai boxing is what made him so dominant in K-1.
I don’t watch a lot of Buakaw but I naturally do the knee entry you’re talking about. I wasn’t taught to do this way it just feels naturally advantageous when you think about the long guard. I use it from time to time in sparring.
Buakaw was what made me start training Muay Thai. I really liked his style. I am right handed and left footed, so a fight in orthodox stance but my style evolves around kicking because I have a karate background. Seeing Buakaw throwing those switch kicks made me realize that this is the style I want to incorporate.
wow how can you be right handed and left footed!
You are a really good teacher. Explain good enough for a English second language like me, and not a martial art trainer easily tonunderstand
Masato breakdown would be cool as well.
I will definitely do that as well. Another one of my top favourites to watch and I certainly know what I'd mention for his top 5.
@@GabrielVargaOfficial thank you.
Such a good breakdown, I'll definitely be watching more of your videos and hopefully muster up the motivation to start practicing your drills lol
That was amazing please never stop doing these!!!
Gonna work on it now! Thanks for the inspo and knowledge champ! 🏆🏅🥊
awesome work! Thanks for the breakdown!
Awesome work sir! Love what you are doing!
Amazing breakdown mate! Loved this video!
Awesome breakdown!
That was a fantastic breakdown. I really like that you show how to practice and incorporate into our training. Thank you for posting.
This information is pure gold! Gonna work on shortening my switch kick thanks to this.
One new sub for you Sir 💪

Just with this chanel, even if you cannot jab to save your life, if you work, you can be a force to be reckoned with, thank you Gabriel.
Great series. Thank you

What makes Masatooooooo so good!!!
Great insights, thank you Gabriel!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Much love to your channel man, I'm learning Muay Thai atm and just keep getting more and more fascinated with the art after watching your analysis. Appreciate what you are doing 🙏💯 !
Nice dude! I just started kickboxing after school classes! Keep it bro!
Wow mate, thanks heaps for this clip,
Saenchai (that's how it's written right?) would be amazing to analyse, his style is mind blowing to watch imo
For me saenchai is the one you show people who have never watched a single fight in their live and I’m not even talking about Muay Thai I’m talking about martial arts as a whole topic. He is one of the most exciting fighters humanity has ever seen on high level. His fun is ridiculous
@@tamo9659 I absolutely agree! Him and Lerdsilla have such amazing movement and skills in the ring, it's marvellous to watch
First time I'm seeing this guy, very good video, very good style analisis, a lot of experience behind him. This man knows his strikes! Good job with the instructional videos, great work.
I literally just discovered your channel and i love it
Welcome to the channel!
I'm glad you are enjoying the content 🙏
Outstanding videos. Truly insightful. For anyone that wants to take their game to the next level, these videos are a must.
Thanks for the awesome comment.
This information is so good. Excellent channel. Thank you.
Glad you think so 🙏
Very good analyse . I love your vidéos
This is gold!
Great video man! I actually learned things that I my self hadn’t noticed while watching Buakaw
Glad to hear it! There's probably little things I haven't noticed either. There's always more to learn.
great video bud,......many thanks from a big buakaw fan
He pushes with his hands, teeps with his kicks, and etc. very useful for a technical fighter
Amazing breakdown
Genuine, informative and practical content as always. From the work you have done on this series, I could already imagine the quality coaching/teaching available at your future gym in Victoria! By the way, as one of your early subscribers, it's been my personal honor to have witnessed the recent growth of your channel! The way you engage your fans and the energy and thoughts you put into making your videos are definitely paying off. Cheers!
Thanks for your support from a super early stage.
One of my original subs!!! 🙏🙏🙏
@@GabrielVargaOfficialvideo idea you should do a how to beat certain fighters series
That was a great video! Thank you for your input! I would love to see a video like this on Badr Hari if you have a chance. Thank you again!
I cant believe Im getting all this knowledge for free.
Best channel on youtube by far.
Great video, champ.
Hey gabriel, I would love to watch your take on why giorgio petrosyan is so good, seriously, the guy is out of this world
Gabriel you are a genius thanx a lot for that excellent analysis as always .....i am from germany we love your videos!!! take care
All the way from Germany. Very cool. I love getting comments from around the world.
Thank you 🙏
I'm that dude that finally pressed subscribe today. I love these videos, they help a ton.
Thank you man! 🙏
Great video.
Waaaouaaaaa!
The secret behînd his left round house and switxh it s so niceeeeee
The switch kick tip totally changed up my kicking game thank you so much
Amazing. I'm so happy to hear that.
Ooh giorgio petrosyan please my good sir!
Agreed. Gabrieeeeeeeeeeeeel!
Awesome channel
Looks like alot of fun
Masato break down!🙌🙌
Excelent and didactic video.
I missed an explanation of his left hook. That is another of the lethal weapons of this living legend. My preferred fighter of all times.
I've always thought your channel was criminally underrated. Great to see you figured out the formula (more like "framework") to get views.
Much appreciated!
nice video ,i go training this technique today
Have fun
very good contents. thank you.
Glad you like them!
Just subbed. Great content.
Welcome and thanks for joining the channel.
This series of videos are so well done and are so useful. Thanks!... How about looking at a great from the K1 era like Alexey Ignashov or Jerome LeBanner?? Thank you!!
i like this series alot
Fantastic.
Thanks for the feedback 🙏
I'll keep them coming.
cool, this is very helpful
I'm glad you found it beneficial 👍
Great break down! Love it. When is your next fight?
Fantastic
Excellent video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@GabrielVargaOfficial I forwarded it to my coach here in thailand and we will practice the buakaw quick switch and the teep distance control tomorrow
Now I know what makes you so good Gabriel. YOu are a real student of the game.
And you are a big fan of Buakaw. I can feel it!
I've been watching Buakaw for sooo long. I don't really fight like him but still take little elements or techniques from him to incorporate into my style. Definitely a big fan of him and the other K-1 MAX champs (and Kyshenko).
@@GabrielVargaOfficial Agree. Buakaw is Buakaw... as much as he seems to be like a stereotypical Thai fighter, he really is a unique kickboxer. I have been breaking down his style eversince but this video of yours really helped sum him up!
You should do Saenchai bro. It would make for an interesting video, Nevertheless great video man.
When you were demonstrating the switch kick technique I thought the video sped up for some reason...
Man you are a seriously brilliant and gifted fighter...
Thanks for all the educational content
Glad you liked it!
Haha. That was me trying to replicate Buakaw's speed when switching. I think I'm still a moment behind him.
In traditional Chinese martial arts, the palms-turning-out dimension of the long guard also helps with deflection because it slightly changes the direction of your opponent's strike! Thanks for another dope video!
Best kickboxing educational videos 👍
Thanks. I appreciate that!
That switch lead kick step is legit!
this is only the second video i’ve watched on your channel but i love your content 👊🏾
Awesome! Thank you!
And welcome aboard.
@@GabrielVargaOfficial no problem! you’ve been teaching me a lot in just a few days time. i can’t wait to see your page grow
Really enjoyed this video. I do some similar things when I spar.
I'd love a video on a shorter fighter with shorter limbs that utilizes their size more similar to me. Maybe some smaller Thai fighters like Saenchai or Lerdsila.
How on earth do you have so few subscribers? Amazing video, Gabriel! Keep it up.
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
The channel had slow growth for a while but it's popping now.
Hopefully the subscribers will continue joining and things will keep shooting upwards.
Thank you!
Im grateful i landed on your videos, Gabe..it is very simple to understand and very helpful...
Greets from malaya Muay Thai- Philippines
.. ROCKnROLL!!!
Nice. Philippines. I love having world wide viewers.
It's amazing to connect with people so far away.
Welcome!
@@GabrielVargaOfficial your tips are the most sensible so far... more power, Gabe!✊
GSP please!! The fighter I wanna model my style from cuz I’m a big fan of fighters being balanced with high fight iq. Thanks for quality content as always!!
I train a bit of muay thai, but I'm living in Korea. These videos make it so much easier to learn and practise because my trainer doesn't speak English.
Something to note is that buakaw uses the switch kick to stymie the power hand of big punchers like Zambidis. Every time they try the big cross they suddenly have to cover up their head because of the switch kick
Hi Gabriel, nice video. One potentially interesting follow-up would be to break down the Buakaw vs Petrosyan fights to see how The Doctor handled those techniques. Cheers.
Great video. Subscribing!
Welcome to the channel and thanks for joining!
That "switch kick"/lead leg Buakaw utilizes is the same way Santos Davy set up his. Speed and technique flowing beautifully into a very powerful kick that has alot of balance and distance control behind it.
nice and usefool video. would be interested to see also such a video about two creative fighters - Saenchai & Dave Leduc, thx!
An episode about the goat of kickboxing Petrosyan would be amazing as well. Great work
On it! 🙏
Good video bro
Sawasdee kub Gabriel Varga ^^
I really like this series you're doing I feel like my fight iq just keeps going up.
A few people I'd maybe like to see breakdowns on, samart, holzken, Roy Jones jr or prince naseem, Mayweather would be good, and maybe dominik cruz.
Thanks for the feedback. My list of fighters to cover is growing crazy fast. I'll do my best to keep up.
Roy Jones Jr was carried by his speed and athleticism, not his technique. Fighting like him when you dont have those attributes is asking for a lot of trouble.
@@rykehuss3435 you dont become one of the greatest boxers without some technique. It may not always seem like it and yes his athleticism helped but he understands boxing on a level that most never will.
And even if he was all athleticism he still did something right and it would benefit everyone to know about it. Even if just a good S and C program.
I love this series. I'd like to see how you'd analyze Tyson Fury
Buakaw kick game....is on another level
Any chance we can see a match between you and Buakaw? I could see you driving a kick right through his long guard!
Excellent content as always...Keep up the good work!
