@@2North0Star6 he fought under Thai scoring though I’ve watched his fights not a single fight I’ve seen looks remotely controversial you can’t score based on punching and lowkicks you don’t score if your getting kicked in the arm constantly he did that
I always had a strong feeling that Ramon is heavily underappreciated and that makes me really sad. He was a super human creator of kick boxing history. In 20 years he had around 200 fights, mostly under Thai rules, with 175 wins, 90 KOs. 8 times World Kick Boxing and Thai Boxing Champion. Fighter of the Year in Thailand in 1992 and probably the most respected “farang” Thai boxer of all times. 50 million people watched him fight! He never turned down a fight regardless of excruciating damage he suffered over time and his bones being rearranged and joints fused. Ramon’s stepfather and trainer was a legendary Cor Hemmers. Rest In Peace Legend
@Tim Rijnders I hear that all the time but there's zero evidence of that claim . Whenever I ask people to give specific examples of these "questionable judges decisions" I get zero examples. All of the fights that I watched of him in Thailand where he lost, he lost it fair and square. Even people like Muay Thai scholar have stated that Dekkers was never robbed in Thailand. Ramon Dekkers is a legend, honestly his rivalry between Coban (and the Thais in general) might be one of my favorite rivalries of all combat sports. Another benefit of keeping elbows high on defense is your complete posture is more balanced. Better view of opponent, better defense and more explosive stance. It's easier to get someone of balance if they are leaning forward in a defensive stance. Also distance control is better.

Excellent video, I especially liked your comment on mixing up various styles in order to one becoming unpredictable and most dangerous version of oneself. I am gonna take that to heart.
Next should be Rob Kaman who's another iconic Dutch fighter and who I trained with as well!
Hey, man, is an amazing video! All your analysis is perfect. Thanks a lot!
Just heard Mike Tyson and Joe Rogan talk about him. Figured Id check your channel for a video.
Great, no nonsense content. Thank you.
Happy you made this video!
I start the video with a like. I have watched a lot of your videos and thats how i started with this habit, as i know the video is going to be good. Keep up the great work.
This is just fantastic Gabriel. 🙏
Thank you for another great video, you did great job as always. You are really helpful and inspiring with this videos. Thank you man 💪
Ramon Dekkers: "Mike Tyson is my favorite boxer."
Mike Tyson: "Ramon Dekkers is my favorite kickboxer."
Me: they're both the baddest men on the planet to step into the ring. Both of them are my favorite stand up fighters.
For a lightweight youre right.
But heavyweight short combo's 1 or 2 punches and a kick..
That panic to grab BOB on the first body hook
He was using his boxing skills and kicks with intention to kill. There are many videos covering his style (for ex. "The Man behind KO's" ).
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE I wanted to request this! I got into martial arts by watching his matches. Good call mate, thanks!
Glad to hear it's a fighter you wanted to see included in this series.
I hope you enjoyed the video 🙂
@@GabrielVargaOfficial sure did man!
Great stuff Varga! It would be awsome if you make an analisis of the greatest Full Contact fighter of all time; the invicted (I beleive) greatest front kick champion ever. The man who has never been analised in RUclips (as far as I know): Bill “Superfoot” Wallace!
Thank you!
What about Mike Zambidis, Superbon and Sittichai?
The best as always thanks champ !!!!
Love your videos man and as a novice fighter, your vids have been really helping me understand and correct most of the stuff I’ve been doing wrong. It would be great if you could look at and analyse Saenchai’s fighting style as well, seeing that he’s really comfortable with his skills and techniques in Muay Thai, that he manages to confidently smile and have fun when fighting. Thank you for the education 🙏
Great video again! Greetings from🇳🇱
Great content you should do a break down of dany bill
