Game of thrones out here proving even eunuch can have sex before me....
Goku Norris I think what all men should learn is that there is more to sex than injecting a penis into body parts.
Goku Norris 😂😂😂
Boobalopbop - yeah id equate that to all woman need to understand sex is more than just laying their trying to look pretty... yours is more relevant tho
Goku Norris lmao
Goku Norris Dammit, I was gonna say summit to the affect of a Eunuch being able to get more than me in GoT...
Theon jumping in the water saved Yara though, if he would've fought his uncle they both would've died. Peacing out was the smart move even though it made him look weak
Totally agree. Question is, what does Theon do next? I personally can't see his sister lasting much longer anyway.
The deck was full of raiders and his Uncle had a blade to her throat, Theon only had one smart move and that was to save himself for another day. This wasn't cowardice, this was the only smart move left.
Agreed, also i think that Euron will keep Yara alive since he want them both dead. He will use Yara to lure Theon in. This might get them both killed or maybe Euron gets cocky and both survives
I think Theon and Yara are spent characters...they did what was required of them, ferry the horde across to Westeros. They are now going to die in some futile sacrifice to try and kill Euron. Euron, is just too damned good a character to kill off this season, he might actually last to the end of the series.
I stopped reading after "doe"
"Cersei: "I'm Gonna Kill Those Dragons With My Big Ass Bow
"Dragons: "I'm Not Rickon Bitch, I Know How To ZigZag
JackTheStripper Lol
It's comments like these that deserve more likes
JackTheStripper its too soon for rickon *bawls eyes out*
the crossbow/scorpion/ballista has been used to kill a dragon before, during aegons conquest one of the two sister wives'dragon was brought down and she died as well. dont count cersei out just yet.
Lucozade Ja. Yeah true Princess Rhaenys fell to Earth(although the body was never found) while riding Meraxes which received a bolt through his eye shot from a scorpion.
hehe, it would be interesting to see, if they brought out the crossbow, but it gets torched by a dragon before they even get to use it. -well there goes that plan.
Daenerys does not have a flaming weapon? wait a second...
*sword*
FSm0rf Maybe it's not literally a sword. Azor Ahais sowrd broke two times before he succeeded with his third try. Maybe Dany has to lose two dragons, one in the war with Cercei, one to the white walkers.
yeah maybe, but better dae is not azor ahai or it can be the ultimate fan service
I don't see how Beric Dondarion isn't azor ahai (lord of lights champion) as he has been brought back six/seven times and has a flaming sword :/
I guess Beric is a false flag in this theory.
When Arya meets Nymeria, the other wolves represent the other Stark children because we see a 'white wolf' representing Ghost, a black wolf representing 'Shaggydog' and also 'Grey Wind' and 'Lady'.
Len D'Silva interesting point 🤔
Nice! I didn't catch that. Nymeria ended up with her pack and her pack parallels Arya's "pack" (her family). That really makes me lean toward Filup and Eric's theory that it is foreshadowing her going back to Winterfell (versus Maude's theory that she will change direction again and head towards King's Landing). Good catch!!
Awesome catch!
I thought Arya said that that wasn't Nymeria
Was about to go to bed but hell no
Wait, so Dany's mother Rhaella died at childbirth? This is a connection with Tyrion and Jon! Both of their mothers, Joanna Lannister and Lyanna Stark, died at childbirth too! May this be a hint towards Tyrion true father? It would be an explanation of why their mothers died when they were born. I'd say a true dragon can't come out of the womb easily...
Fran Garello my mind is blown
lol welcome after.
Tyrion is not a targaryen, the timeline doesnt add up
Well, that would be a significant bit of lazy writing. Let's destroy everything we've spent years building up by simply making all the heroic characters Targaryen. If yoh have to make to make any of the Lannister children Targaryen, why not Cersei and Jamie?.... they're both blond and incest is high on their it list.
Tons of moms die of childbirth in westeros.
Fran Garello well said!!!
Concerning Sam writing "A Song of Ice and Fire": GRRM usually identifies himself as one character in his books (not that the character is a portray of GRRM, more like a strong connection), which is usually a mentally capable and to some degree powerful introvert or outsider.
Thinking this might be Sam, it would actually work for the whole theory.
I believe I heard somewhere, that he identifies with Littlefinger. Also an outsider, who is also smart. And also pulling a lot of strings.
Every Author writes himself in every story. Sam is GRRM.
I don't think Theon jumping of that boat was a full on Reek move. Of course it wasn't a Theon move either.
But I think that Reek wouldn't even have had the guts to run away. I think Theon jumped out of the situation just before turning full on Reek and surrendering to Euron.
I dont have a problem with GW and Missandei being together or getting that beautifully shot scene, truly excellent light work and direction there, but I was not a fan of Missandei not responding to GW 's "argument" that she's his weakness because he's now afraid of losing her or of anything happening to her etc. He said he was the bravest and had no fear as a young unsullied etc. Missandei should 've pointed out - because she's educated and smart and has shown that thus far - that bravery doesn't exist without fear; fear is what makes brave acts what they are. fear is the realisation of the risk involved in something and bravery is acting despite the risks. i was disappointed with how the dialogue finished. they re probably trying to foreshadow GW dying in the wars to come hence why the dialogue ended with the insinuation instead of setting the "record straight" so to speak on what makes sense, logically and argumentatively but yeah...
valar morgulis
can u explain ur position on missandei?
I think she was flattered with what he said. Why ruin the moment by "correcting" him?
It's a Song of Black Widows and Praying Mantises. Grey Worm is afraid once he's lived, he's going to die.
For Europe it is morning, so nice timing!
No one else seems to think so but when the ironborn were cutting the mouths at 31:19 i think thats meant to be a reference to pirates cutting out gold teeth
Dan Heronneau me too! But I guess they are really cutting out tongues? Seems weird
It's something Euron does to ensure loyalty/avoid snitches :/ It's why his ship is called the Silence
arya didn't look scared, she looked alert
The breakdown that was promised.
Sansa doing her best Admiral Aukbar impression!!!! Hahahah
Why did I refresh my RUclips at 230am?
The best beakdown of the visuals I've seen. Bravi tutti! The symbolism of the sharpening sword coupled Greyworm's sexuality lifted the romantic scene from click-bait to a powerful cry for freedom.
Always worth the wait!
I'm thoroughly impressed with this breakdown, Erik. You did a fantastic job! 👏👏👏
I've watched so many other breakdowns, but this is by far the best one for S7E2. You go into so many details and remind us of important history and themes, make intelligent comparisons and throw in humor... it's utterly superb. It's an actual breakdown, not just retelling us what we already saw with few obvious plot points thrown in. Unparalleled. 👍👏👏
Euron hasn't been poisoned. The two Sand Snakes he killed (Obara and Nymeria) do not coat their weapons with poison. Tyene Sand, however, does this with her weapons (daggers). Since Tyene chose to find and protect her mother, she did not engage Euron in combat. Therefore, we can conclude that Euron has not been poisoned.
Can someone answer 2 questions for me?
1. In episode 7x01 Littlefinger says to Sansa about Brienne: "I heard she defeated 'The Hound' in single combat." (How did he know that; if only Arya, Sandor, Brienne, and Podric were there.)
2. In Dany's vision in the house of the undying she sees King's Landing, and the iron throne still has the seven-pointed star. But now it has the Lannister lion. (Continuity error or was it not the future she saw?)
good questions
Well I think i have a good explaination: Littlefinger is in kahoots with podririck.
IT"S A BALLISTA NOT A CROSSBOW
Dragon tamers a scorpion right
Been waiting for this all week!!! Good work love these vids!
Aemon said it could be prince or princess first.
No one mentions that those guys at the inn said that Danny's dragons are bigger then Aegons.
Pete Easy exactly. danys dragons should barely be able to be ridden. Smdh
Lucozade Ja. Had Danny looking like an infant on Drogon's back on the field of fire
Jaimee mistook Dickon as Rickard not Rickon. The name of Ned's brother who was killed by the mad king. Don't know how it relates but yeah.
Ahi Adds maybe its referancd he is going tobe burned alive
Ahi Adds Maybe is a reference to father and son deaths. Rickard and Brandon died together.
Ahi Adds, I agree - he is saying Rickard.
I'm sure they put it this way to made us remember MadKing vs StarkFather/Son.
Rickard is Ned's father. His brother was called Brandon
Sorry but he def said Rickon...its hard for him to keep up with all those similar names. Especially when hes spent half his life as a douche
Baratheon sigil is shown at King's Landing because Gendry is at Flea Bottom :D
Kelly G speaking of power even tommen had none. :D
Before Theon jumps off the boat he looks around at all the people dying/ getting their tongues cut out. There's no circumstance where Theon can save Yara at that moment. I believe there's going to be a nice parallel to when Yara tried to save Theon from Ramsey. Theon will save Yara. Remember there's a scene in the season 7 trailer that we haven't seen yet; two figures jumping into water. And those figures look like Yara and Theon.
I waited for this all week!
So no one's going to talk about Arya showing all those Hound mannerisms in the tavern? She could be his daughter by now.
Dany wiped her hands cause she realized that was the part of the table where Stannis and Melisandre were...you know
there's probably some Stannis juice left lol
I was really disappointed by Theon Reeking out on the ship at first, but after I thought about it it could actually have been a good thing. If Theon had attacked Euron then Euron would have definately killed Yara but by running, it makes Euron keep Yara as a prisoner. Could this end up working out with Theon coming back to free her?
I was thinking the same thing!
Sam Masters It was the right move on his part. But he didn't do it because it was a smart move, he did it because his Reek persona returned.
Agreed but I think it could end up working out for Yara
So one talks about how Tyene Sand hugged her mother. It was very touching moment.
I'm kind of shocked at how many loyal viewers of the show took Theon's jump at face value, without even considering it might be something other then Reek taking over. Theon was heavily punished for his over-ambition and pride, he learnt that heroic actions are useless if they aren't also well thought. Now, he's is a position where he can play the hero but lose, either be taken captive again or die, there is no way he can win against Euron. If he makes a move against him, his sister dies for sure and probably him too, if he jumps there is no telling what Euron would do, it could have saved Yara's life as well.
Sorry to say but no way his sister lives on after this
5:44 Speech: 100
I loved the way that Bronn could pronounce the archmaster's name, when Tyrion was struggling.
In Arya & Nymeria scene, did anyone notice that other wolves were in colors of the other direwolves. There was a black one (Shaggydog), a white one (Ghost) and couple grey ones (Summer, Lady, Grey Wind)....
Randall Tarly will decide the fate of the Seven Kingdoms. Since a lot of the story is based on Medieval history, I believe that Randall is Lord Stanley, an English lord who's son was captured by King Richard III and at the last moment switched sides to Henry Tudor a Welsh claimant to the throne during the Battle of Bosworth Field which ultimately decided the War of the Roses, which is the inspiration for the war between the Starks and the Lannisters. The Tarly's sigil is a red bowman on a green field, Welsh colors, and Welsh bowman were why English armies were so dominant during the Medieval period.
I look forward to Game of Thrones all week and as soon as it's over I look forward to this! These breakdowns are SO good.
Theon jumping into the sea was the smartest move he could make. It looked cowardly, but he knew if he took a step towards his sister, they both die. Theon will save her, even if he has to die to do so.
Seriously this is the heart blood of this channel.. don't stop.
3:54 the cardinal with the dope earbuds xD
*I am so hyped for episode 3*
Love this video. But is anyone else bothered by his pronunciation of Qyburn? :/
"When we are Tested, we don't control the Identities We become"..... Awesome 👌
Thans Erik. This is the best review of the episode I have seen and I appreciate the effort out into making this video.
Is no-one else freaked out by the moving candles in the background????
Weeeell, the skull of Valerion the dread(dunno if I wrote that write) is pretty old and could easily be broken. Means Drrogon might not be as in danger as everyone thinks.
In the intro of this episode: at the wall, the bit that is usually an ocean to the right of the wall is now appearing to be ice. This prolly foreshadows how the white walkers are gonna go around the wall
When Tyrion said he was an excellent judge of character, in my mind I was like "Eh, what about Shay?" lol
The song is "Hear me Roar" actually :). They sound similar, but they are different.
I always get Negan vibes from Euron for some reason
May Bee I can see that a bit. Negan strikes me as less ambitious though. He's King and he likes it.
Euron is like yoooo let's go I've got work to do and nieces to hunt.
3:54 cardinal Richelieu was an adviser to Louis Xiii not the Xiv
This was a great video they fit too well with the episodes and make it all come together
Personally I think its interesting how sansa is wearing the same symbol as the one the WW made out of bodies. Considering the nights king was probably a Stark...thats interesting. It apparently means something to the Starks. What are the WW trying to communicate?
My theory is that Dany's dragons are her "flaming sword". They are quite literally fire weapons though. And she got them after sacrificing Drogo and her unborn son, the things she loved most at this point.
An important note about: the theory that Euron was possibly poisoned: the poison that Bronn got hit with took at least a night to take effect. For all we know, it could have taken longer.
Every day I check the channel for these videos!! Keep up the good work!!
I think that Theon jumped because he's been held in captivity his entire life. Although the Starks treated him like kin, he still longed to go home and when Ramsey captured him, he tortured him and took away his identity. He's still struggling with his past, he's not a fighter and he isn't brave. So he jumps because he doesn't want to go back to that anymore. It was cowardly, but I think that it took a lot out of him to abandon his sister..
Easily the best Game of Thrones breakdowns on youtube, great job as always
it's so great to wake up and find this video already up on RUclips
Hands down this is the best movies/series analizing channel. The best! Great input for us, the fans of GoT.. .... keep up the great work you guys do.
Breakdowns better than the actual episode. Highlight of the week!
These are always the best breakdowns! Thanks for doing what you do.
Well now we know where Joffrey got his love of crossbows from lol
His knowledge about history is so impressive.
Thanks for the amazing video. :)
Haha....nailed that impression of Varys.
I still think that Euron looks more like a biker-gang member than he does a pirate. The mutton chops & leathers, coupled with his joy of mayhem just "reeks" of motorcycle gang.
Ok am I the only one who kinda found the scene where sam is removing jorah's grey scale sort of satisfying.
I think Jamie's reaction when Cersei talked about killing children was more to throw back when Cersei had all of Robert's bastards killed, some even being children
Ligergirl501 Joffrey ordered the kills, not Cersei
Finally. I was getting worried.
What do we tell to the god of sleep?
Not tonight! (at least not till I watch New Rockstars's new video)
Great breakdown! One of best I've seen and very well thought out!
Love when these come out 😻😻
The map during the opening credits is at the citadel with the astrolabes and clicking lens so it is going to have the official sigil at each castle ,manse. etc. and Cersi's last name is Baratheon also in the books when Dany is trying to "sell" her dragons for money one buyer described her dragon as a flaming sword
Great analogy! I never looked at it that way.
Whoa, the original Targaryen fleet was destroyed by a storm? That's a cool parallel.
S6E02 - Euron: "I AM the storm, brother. The first storm and the last."
14:42 It can! One of Aegon's dragons and his sister were killed by a bolt while trying to conquer Dorne (one of my favorite pieces of lore). It's the reason why Dorne was never conquered by Aegon and remained the only free part of Westeros.
Just to be clear, Richelieu DID NOT serve Louis XIV, but his father Louis XIII. As a matter of fact, Richelieu (1585-1642) was already dead when Louis XIV began his reign.
Richelieu was a lot more influent than Varys and ruled the country probably more than the king himself, and he was a fine strategist. In my opinion, his personality was closer to the personality of Tyrion than the one of Varys.
However, his successor, cardinal Mazarin, who served briefly under Louis XIII and then under Louis XIV, could maybe better be compared to Varys. He continued the work of Richelieu, but is less known than him, especially because Louis XIV was a more charismatic and involved king than Louis XIII, and Mazarin had to live in his shadow. Moreover he was a foreigner, like Varys. Then again, he was a formidable administrator for the country but was not well-liked by the people, whose wellness wasn't his first concern, and he was very greedy.
So, all things considered, I think that none of these two cardinals can obviously be compared to Varys.
Does nobody else think it's possible that Sam cures Jorah Mormont but in so doing, contracts greyscale himself? Euron is a breath of fresh air as a villain in GoT. Prctically all of the previous villains have gotten other people or their armies to do their dirty work but Euron jumps into the battle on the front line like a mad man. Maybe his recklessness will be his ultimate undoing. He was definitely stabbed a few times, Oberyn and his snakes have pretty much poisoned everyone they have attacked previously in the series so it really wouldn't sit right with me if Euron doesn't suffer some kind of similar consequence from that. It seems like Littlefinger has realised that Sansa has been scheming behind his back as well, why else would Jon Snow stranglehold him when they've only just met? But it seems like Arya is set up to become Sansa's protector in the short term. As far as the dragons go I think it seems like the two smaller ones are going to get killed off when the siege of King's Landing finally comes around.
Euron being poisoned?
Well, only one argument would go for this theory: Danny's plot armour. With Euron free on the seas, the transport of troops and supplies for Danny is impossible on water. So they kill him to give her a chance
However there are many theories to go against this
First: simple, Euron was wearing armour and the weapons did not touch him undefended
2. Weapons were not yet poisoned
3. He is immune or has an atidote. I mean, he is a freaking pirate roamning the seas. He must have a clue about poisoned weapons and how to combat them
The best breakdowns ever ❤ I just love this chanel so much!
After meeting so many people with questionable moral, Jon would make quite an impression on Dany.
When Daenerys tells Tyrion "Tell Jon Snow that his queen invites him to come to Dragonstone... AND BEND THE KNEE!" he makes a thinking face, probably he was thinking "Oh, I don't think he's gonna bend his knee, should I say that?". I also noticed he didn't use this expression on the letter.
Sansa bettee include herself in the fighting force. They cant have every girl fighting and she is just sitting on her ass smh
It wasn't just Bilbo that wrote the adventures down. Bilbo wrote "There and Back Again", but it ended up being expanded into a much larger tome known as the Redbook of Westmarch. Bilbo begins this expansion by starting a section titled "The Downfall of the Lord of the Rings and the Return of the King", but hands it over to Frodo to complete. Frodo does his bit, and when he's done he hands it over to Samwise to make additions of his own. So, in the end, it would have been Sam pulling out the book and reading it to others.
I love these as much as the episodes themselves. They go hand and hand, HBO should really back you guys, seriously.
Euron is not crazy, or a mad dog, or an agent of chaos. He just loves a good scrap.
He's not the Joker, he's an Ork.
actually he is a straight up madman.
Euron drinks shade of the evening. Maybe this gives him some protection against poison?
You were so poetic at the end
What if it's the dragons who recognize Jon as a Targaryen first?
mysterkleppka that's my way of thinking too surely they will spot he has same blood as theirs and then they will connect with him
I noticed that no one caught in to Littlefinger using the same line on John as he did with Sansa, calling him the last best hope for the North. What was his angle? Was he trying to get on Johns good side and manipulate him?
Nice, you guys hit 1 million subs. Well done.
Awesome EV keep em coming they're great
@eavoss Two things. Dani uses the word "invite" when she tells Tyrion to "invite" Jon Snow to Dragonstone. And, according to my ears and the HBO Now closed captions, Jaime says, "It's Rickard, isn't it?" when meeting Dickon.
the candles keep moving in the background... cannot unsee.
Why would Sam start peeling the grey scale in the middle of Jorah's chest? If he is going to debride an infection, he should start at the edge first to control the spread! Any thoughts?
I think euron is poisoned but overtime he developed a resistance so it will take a while before it kicks in
You said Olenna doesnt want anything anymore other than burning everything to the ground ... so whats going to stop Olenna and the Tyrell army from ignoring Danny's plan and assaulting king's landing/burning it to the ground? It seems like foreshadowing when she tells Danny that shes outlived smarter men by not listening to them...
My favorite RUclips video every week!!! Followed by the Q&A
