Voidwalker will tank Tugar for you, making it waaaay more managable as far as dmg intake. Just let him get on pull until the worm goes under, and keep Curse of Tongues up on Tugar so you can Fear , or Mortal Coil, OR use Voidwalker's Command Demon to survive the nuke with 30% hp max to you and Void.
you should use the addon called minimapbuttonbutton :) really cleans up your map icons. groups them off your minimap so u dont have the addon butttons cluttering ur map
I played destro first time today with a boosted wl and got it after idk maybe 50 trys, my tip for everyone dying because too low hp for whatever reason is when adds are spawning just 24/7 fear the tauren guy and drain soul the adds until you are fine again but be careful that you can Interrupt the boss when he is running to far away.. Maybe just do a gateway to him and nuke adds when the worm is coming up soon with cataclysm and the emerald nightmare trinket

Thanks! I personally think it is kinda neat that old gear works well in there, but I made my warlock fresh in shadowlands so I didn't have any great legacy items to play with. I think the problem now is that the prices of the ones you can buy are super inflated
Yes! He charges at you wherever you are, so if you aren't ready to dodge, you will get hit every time. Watch from 5:35 and I talk about it there. He will slightly emerge from the ground, and that is when you know he will charge at you, you can also read his text in the chat box too. Once he starts charging after that, he just goes in a straight line. Try to position by the rocks on the ground to remove his debuff!!
I had a similar problem too. I found that his cast sequence is pretty predictable after a few attempts. If you notice your MC and kick are on CD, and he hasn't casted in a bit be ready to fear. If you keep curse of tongues on him, you can fear almost halfway through the Fel Burst cast and still interrupt it
you need lots of haste for this. was struggling for 2-3h with full int and very low haste (about 14% in the tower). But when i went in with 27% haste (in the instance), everything was much easier. always tongues on the tauren and 2 fear macros, one for the tauren and one for the worm. was mostly fearing both on their casts, only used coil or spell lock if coil was on cd on the tauren if i had to move etc. oh and get dbm challenges. the timers for fel blast and sonic scream were extra helpful.
That is a Sanctum of Domination Vantus rune. It just gives like 100 vers when I'm in combat with a single boss in SoD, and lasts a full week. I used it on Sylvanas
When I am in the mage tower, my stats are scaled down to 9% crit, 22% haste, 51% mastery, and 6% vers. I'd recommend getting your haste high for this challenge if you are having trouble prioritizing stats, mine might be a little low tbh. And the second "dark soul" is Soulletting Ruby. The trinket's buff effect has the same icon as DSM. One thing I would suggest to you is to record some of your pulls, and rewatch them to see where your main mistakes are. A lot of my attempts originally were just me bashing my head at it, but once I watched myself play I saw obvious mistakes. I mentioned it in the video, but the Focus macro for kick was immensely helpful for me interrupting Fel Burst.
@@krozothebozo I'm at 360 int 19% crit, 19% haste, 47% mastery, 1% vers. My trys are real solid always between 10-12 min, I'm able to interrupt all casts, things go south when 5 mini-worms start spawning. Ill keep trying, thanks for the video
I'm also getting stuck once adds go above 5. Just picked up engineering to see if bombs might work. Just need to survive two extra underground worm phases and i'll beat it. I managed to get Tugar down twice now but worm got me on enrage because it had too much HP left so I need an extra round or two of dps on the worm before I take down Tugar but all my attempts lead to 2-3 adds being still up at the end once worm pops back out and I waste DPS time on them. Probably just need to make sure I always have 5 soul shard ready before underground phase though
I think demon skin is fine. The passive healing it gives will be super helpful since you can avoid most of the damage in this fight. You'll be punished more for taking extra damage though.
I don't understand why i'm bleeding out to fel shock. Afaik it's unavoidable, just use defensives and drain life? I stop scream and burst and bleed out anyway
It is definitely just unavoidable damage. It was similar in damage to his melees on me, so yeah I'd say its just something you gotta heal through. I found great times to get some extra healing off were right when he started the Earthquake cast. He was doing no other attacks to you, and you didn't have anything else to worry about for a few seconds. Also try healing when you are higher HP maybe 70% or 60%. In the video I spend a lot of the time really low HP and it made it unnecessarily stressful lol. Good luck :)
For Some reason i have huuge Problems with the focus makro Tryd lit everything i know but pet Makro always buggy.. My Pet sometimes Interrupt and sometimes just doin nothing Sometimes even the makro think theres no spell in it and the icon is the ❓️ *edit On All my other Character every makro works Still on the lock Only Pet Not
I think the reason that the macro is a question mark occasionally is because your pet is dead, or you haven't summoned it yet. A similar macro you could make would be : #showtooltip /target Tugar Bloodtotem /Cast Spell Lock I tested this out just now and it worked every time. It literally just targets him, then casts the interrupt. Hopefully this macro will help out, let me know how it goes!

i had a similiar problem with the affliction challenge. everytime i entered with summoned felhunter he wont let me interrupt. re-summoning the pet before starting the encounter worked for me. dunno if thats the same for you
If this is a consistent problem you're having, I'd imagine you are missing the interrupt frequently. I'd say on your next couple of attempts, play like normal, but put all of your focus into making sure you hit the interrupt or CC it each time. The totem itself shouldn't be a problem with all of the instant damage we have, so kicks really are the worst part. Side note, if you have no conflag charges, or shards for shadowburn, I recommend using immolate to kill the totem as it is a quick cast, and the damage has no travel time. Good luck :)

@@thisguyhd6591 Aaah, I see. Drain life is your friend in that case. Channeling for only a few seconds will recover a good portion of your hp. You can always get a good drain off when feltotem is casting Earthquake, and the worm goes underground. He isn't hitting you then, so as long as the falling rubble doesn't hit you, there is no damage for like 5 seconds. In my attempts, I found that when I healed early (like 70% hp) and often relieved a lot of stress in the challenge. Also, the BFA and Legion health potions heal substantially more than the shadowlands ones.
I've got this and the healer challenge left, and I must say i've spent an hour or so on my Destruction lock and this challenge feels awful. I think i'll just do it on my Disc Priest instead.

The main issue im finding is when mortal coil and interrupt are on cd it's very difficult to time the fear to interrupt fel burst

i hate that encounter. why did they choose this for destro?! such a pity that they massed up the stats and cut of the actuall skills and mechanics

do it on a monk, did it third try in full shadowlands pvp gear. complete meme how easy it was.
