Your welcome, I think the initial buying and riding when first owning can be a bit clouded by the euphoria of joy lol 😂 I'll try to keep it honest and upfront with my thoughts on the bike in the future but over a year and still open the garage every day and love it that it's mine to enjoy 😊
The handling can be squirrely and jittery, can be solved with the aftermarket steering damper, as I said many thought it should have been a factory fitment, though to keep costs down its a fairly basic machine. 😊😊😊
I have a 23 Sport. If you get one get the sport or the rally as the upgraded suspension improves the handling. Only thing I added was the slingmods end links. Mine doesn't feel squirrely at all on the highway going 80+. Now the suspension could be better as far as handling bumps and rough roads though.
Yep I heard end links and better sway bar makes a huge difference, mines also a 23 sport but I think to be fair it's less the bike and more our New Zealand back roads, rough and bumpy!!!!! 😊
I'm a big guy @ 6ft 220 lbs. Center of gravity is off a bit due to my weight. I've learned to throw my weight around in turns and tbh I don't have any issues at 50mph through a turn on my 2020 Rally. It's so much fun. If you have enough strength in your arms and shoulders, you won't even notice the lack of power steering. I have experience on a Spyder and it's just not the same fun experience. The Ryker feels a lot more sporty to me. I'll eventually own a Spyder for touring, but the Ryker will always remain in the garage.
I just purchased a fully loaded brand new 0 miles 2023 ryker rally 900 a month ago from the dealership & I definitely love it. I've been riding 2 wheel motorcycles for 20yrs plus & hated riding in the cold. BUT now I'm riding in the cold weather & still love it😂
Awesome to hear that you're loving your Ryker Rally. 😊 As you would have found out, it's very different to riding on 2 wheels but just as much fun. Keep enjoying racking up those miles on your Ryker. 👍😁
Was thinking of some upgrades, but I'm so used to riding this stock Ryker quick that for me, I'm not sure its worth spending the money , but have heard they are great upgrades. 😊
Agreed @OP. The accessories are way overpriced. I would recommend purchasing a Ryker used with all of the accessories off season if you want accessories. The Ryker deals ive seen off season with very few miles are insane. In my experience, the ryker is very easy to work on. I do all of my own work. Havent had any issues in the 6k miles i have driven the bike. So far ive done all my own oil changes, repacked the exhaust, changed the oil pan, spark plugs, CVT belt, headlights, added a cheap alternative undercarriage light kit from amazon that ties into the brakes for more visibility (300+++ for the light kit on slingmods is ridiculous), changed the final drive and transmition oil, brakes, added vinyl wrap .... I think that's most of it. All maintenance was simple aside from the CVT belt. Even that was easy for someone who knows how to turn a wrench.
Yep agree on overpriced accessories, shipping and exchange rates make it very expensive to get gear here to NZ. My warranty finishes in 2025 so I'll also be doing alot of the maintenance myself. 😊
@@Daryl-W1966it's really not that bad. Loving the bike so far. Makes it worth it :). If the turbo were cheaper, I'd be adding one of those too. Lol Drive safe
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated.
Your welcome 😊
Thabk you for your 1 year update. We always get first impressions but we rarely get one year updates.

Great job of sharing your insight with your 1 year review of Ryker Sport riding.
Glad you enjoyed it 😊👍
Thank you for sharing the video. I am thinking of buying one but have read a lot of bad reviews on the handling . Great looking machine

@@-champ-4727set all springs to level 4 and it will handle better. The damper level depends on your weight honestly

I haven't had any problems with this as yet, hopefully never 😊
